Service was fantastic!
A piece of plastic in my food big and sharp enough to choke on. All they did was comp the appetizer. The manager didn’t even come over to check on us.
Great service, attentive servers
Joined three friends for Happy Hour on a Monday night. It was Martini night and with the $5 martini one can choose any gin - top of the line. A really good value. We shared appetizers and all were delicious. We'll be back.
Had the prime rib tacos and they were delicious. Hubby had the pork chop. You must experience the fried chicken Brussel sprouts.
Very good food and service. Brought my dad a special relish for his fish. Staff friendly and helpful. My dad doesn’t get out much at 96, but he had a good time.
Excellent customer experience. Arrived before planned earlier closure and we were concerned. However pleasantly surprised by attentive and well paced service. Pasta dishes were fresh and extremely well prepared. So many restaurants don’t understand al dente preparation but this one does. 1/2 price bottles of wine special. We will be back!
Food and service was great. Friendly service. I went there to celebrate the birthday lunch with my girlfriend. She has little kid with her. The waitress gave the alternative suggestions when the special request is not available
New server created confusing service, but she later apologized and explained her experience level. This was honorable and courageous of her part but speaks to poor management and training. We don’t blame her. Brunch menu, taken from us when we moved past 2 pm brunch time, was much more interesting and had better variety than the dinner menu that was Ho-hum and had limited choices. A lot of money for what we got. Some of the servers were communicating across the restaurant which was a bit low class for the reputation of the place-see management comment above.
Great quality service, menu and environment. Will be back.
My guest requested that her flatbread be made without meat. She's a vegetarian. Our food came, she took her first bite, and sure enough the meat was on the flatbread covered up by tomatoes. This necessitated a new flatbread be made. As I sat there waiting for her food to come, my food got cold. I was never asked about keeping it warm, remaking it or anything. I found this inappropriate. It was obviously their mistake. There was never so much as an apology. It's probably going to be my last visit. I am surprised that Rick is running such a lax restaurant since he was originally with the PB&J group.
Update: Add insult to injury. After posting this review I received a phone call from the manager on duty. She excused the mistake with the food off as a really minor glitch and didn't think it warranted her time to stop by our table to offer her apologies since it only took fifteen minutes to correct. Also, since I only had an entree salad with warm chicken on it she didn't understand the problem. Why should it have been kept warm, "it was only a salad." The more she said the deeper the hole she dug. And, never once offered an apology. After all, as she said "what was there to be sorry for." What's most interesting to me was that there were very few tables of people there, so they weren't busy at all. God forbid if they had been.
Our server was great, ambiance was very nice, just wasn't all that impressed with the house reuben sandwich.
Service was quite slow- but thx to another server for finally bringing us water & getting our server. 2 of our 3 salads were quite bland... not what we expect from Heirloom tomatoes.
I’ve now had 2 negative experiences there- so won’t be returning
The atmosphere in Grand Street is a little quieter and is nice for business meetings or for friends getting together to visit. Love the food and the service is great!
All around great experience! Wonderful service, excellent food and comfortable seating. Will definitely be back!
We stop by on Friday for hors d’oeuvres and drinks and we’re not disappointed. The steak tacos were delicious and the service what is impressive. Great spot for a quick meeting or a family meal.
A great meal and great service. Love this place.
Appetizers were delicious and so was Micah our server. Delightful young man!
The trout is AMAZING and my husband loved the pork chop. Always amazing service!!!
WE ORDERED RIB EYE STEAKS. THEY SAID THEY HAD ONLY ONE. SO WE SAID WE'LL TAKE THE RIB EYE AND THE 6OZ FILET. A FEW MOMENTS LATER THEY TOLD US THAT THEY HAVE GIVEN THE ONE RIB EYE TO SOMEONE ELSE SO I ORDERED THE PORK CHOP. THE FILET WAS CLOSER TO 3OZ AND VERY GRAINY. I COULD HAVE USED A SMALL HATCHET TO CUT THE PORK CHOP. THE HIGH POINT OF THE NIGHT WAS OUR SERVER WHO WAS OUTSTANDING. BY THE WAY, I'VE BEEN IN QUIETER HONKY TONKS. THE AMBIENCE WAS NON EXISTENT. WE LEFT WITH MASSIVE HEADACHES AND WILL NEVER RETURN.
Food wasn’t really good for the price. Me and my wife were very surprised how the food had went down hill since last year. We were celebrating our anniversary. The drinks were soooo strong we couldn’t even enjoy them. We had to send the pretzels back, because they were hard as a rock. They had no ribeye as advertised and the Mac & Cheese was extremely dry. For how expensive it was we felt robbed when we left. On a positive note the waitress was GREAT!!
Dinner was great. Our server was good and we enjoyed the evening. Looking forward to maybe increasing their menu. Just a thought.
I gave a lower review on the food this time because they took away the most popular tuna tartare appetizer as well as the bread with hummus and olive oil. They were replaced with a shrimp ceviche and it was disgusting. It was served in a cup of tomato juice kind of like a bloody mary gone very wrong.
Claimed we didn’t show according to Open Table.
Cameron our server was attentive and not pushy. We loved the salads. Thank you
One of my more favorite restaurants. Beautiful restaurant with great food, good atmosphere and friendly capable staff.
Looking forward to eating here at the beautiful Lenexa location next time I am in the area. It’s my new favorite place to eat in Johnson county.
Spur of the moment decision. Love both Grand Street locations but we live close to the Lenexa one. Wonderful server. Attentive and charming. Fillet was perfect. Pasta with shrimp was great.
The waiter was courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was a delight to have as our server throughout the meal.
Stopped in for diner with family following a youth baseball game. Quickly seated our group. David was amazing. Very attentive and patient with our grandchildren. Had the smoked pork chop.....was amazing! Love this new location!
This was an INCREDIBLE visit and an beautiful meal! Though a business luncheon, we thoroughly appreciated the servers suggestions and the Grand Stack and bread service was phenomenal!
My husband & I have decided we want to come back for dinner & drinks.
Wish the menu had a few more offerings for main course very few Meat Choices. No Lamb Chops
Great place in Lenexa. We have been customer since they opened for either lunch, happy hour or dinner.
Pork Chops and Salmon are great.
Excellent food. We chose this place to celebrate my daughter's graduate degree for Sunday Brunch. Service was good. A little loud, but it was a busy day.
Salad course was slow to arrive and the entree was cold by the time we got to it.
The cannelloni was salty and the medium salmon was dry.
The hostess was very friendly when we arrived. When asked if we could sit further into the restaurant -- and pointed out a booth, we were told it's on a rotation and it's not ready to be sat. Understandable -- except the next couple that walked in the door were seated there. Food was delicious -- tried the deviled eggs (tiny & tasty), house salad (oh my -- scrumptious!), ceviche (very good), and chicken caesar (very good). Our waitress was less than enthusiastic about her job. It would have been nice if she had smiled -- she only bought out her smile when she brought the check. We usually tip 25%+ -- that didn't happen on this visit. Did not deter us from having a good time. The manager that stopped by was very friendly. We appreciated that he picked up empty plates and filled water glasses. It's nice to see management chip in -- sends a great message to staff & patrons. He clearly cared that we were there and wanted to ensure we had exceptional service. We'll be back.
Kids meals are now $9. You are not given bread prior to the meal but have to order it and pay extra. Some of the seating is awful with a wall view and table extensions folded out. Menu variety is lacking from previous visits. More than likely not somewhere I will return with my family again.
Went on Mother’s Day- our server (forgot his name) but was very fun and friendly. Food was excellent!
Wonderful new menu with good selection. Excellent wait staff, great experience al around
We went to celebrate our 63rd wedding anniversary and were very disappointed. Our previous visit, earlier this spring had been a very pleasant experience but maybe it was an off night this time. The waiter had an "I don't care attitude", he was training a new young man. Our food was dry and rather tasteless, my margarita tasted like frozen sour lime juice. We really did enjoy the mushroom spring rolls, they were the best part of the dinner.
