Server was wonderful.
The food was spectacular. Every item ordered was as good as it gets.
Grand Central was our dining-room-of-choice this COVID Thanksgiving. And what a good choice it was! Our server, Sarah, treated us like family and guided us through a tempting menu to find just the right wine, entrees, and complementary courses. Having lived for years in Europe and becoming accustomed to quality above quantity, we were delighted to discover a venue devoted to pleasing palates rather than merely filling plates. Don’t get me wrong, the quantity was more than enough, but the quality was spectacular. Steak that melted in my mouth, starters to die for, and sweet desserts aplenty. My wife had the traditional turkey dinner and the leftovers were just as tasty the next day. Grand Central is now high on our list of favorite dining spots in the Coachella Valley. Our compliments to Sarah, the owner, and the chef!
Drinks were good but they were out of major ingredient of a signature drink. The table next to us tried ordering it too! Wish there were healthier appetizers.
One of my new PS favorites. Enjoying the COVID evening hours and the spacing made us feel very safe.
Food was very good. Nice setting and service. Slightly small portions however.
Staff couldn't be more pleasant and the food was deelish!
If there is one thing I know....it’s burgers! And this was o e of the very best in my life. Great service too
Grand Central is a beautiful spot in the center of downtown Palm Springs. The service was great. The specialty drinks were okay, but order simple drink that you like and you won't be disappointed. We had appetizers, small plates and salads and all were very good. Did not have any larger plates or desserts so cannot comment on those.
Great place for dinner! Inventive choices that were delicious! Really enjoyed the cauliflower ceviche!
My go to place in downtown Palm springs, when I'm tired of Mexican or thai or italian.
The menu listed on Open Table is NOT the menu in the restaurant. We chose to try this place based on the menu online. Disappointed when we arrived to find what brought us in wasn’t even on the actual menu. Service.....well there was none. Food was good. Server brings dessert menu and says “we’re basically out of everything” We won’t be back.
Very comfortable and casual yet nice. Extremely friendly and great location. Food was great and owner was very pleasant
Love the food and friendly staff, but hate the noise level. Reduce the sound level and I'll be there more frequently.
It was our first time dining at this restaurant. We were late for our reservation however the host was really nice and accommodated us when we arrived. We had the Valentine's Day 5 course meal and the food had great presentation and it was delicious!
They had an art deco type of setup. Server and staff were great. Will be back.
Everybody was friendly and kind. The host/hostess were so sweet and funny.
The staff couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. Our drinks were delicious, as was our food.
Second time going. The vibe is very city like and yet many diners are tourists staying in Palm Springs.
We all liked our choices very much.
They need much larger beverage glasses.the staff has to refill often
We were in Palm Springs for 3 days and Grand Central was our first dinner out. It was a very quiet Sunday evening so our service was top notch. The decor is urban rustic, an esthetic I love, so that was a bonus for us. Our meals were both delicious! I recommend Grand Central to anyone looking for a comfortable and reasonably priced place for an evening out.
LOUDEST RESTAURANT EVER. The food is great though
We had 5 friends visiting from out of town and we thought Grand Central would be a great place to eat. From the moment we entered we were greeted with a smile and escorted to our table. The wait staff came to the table with a smile and asked for our drink order. The drinks were excellent and then we ordered our food. Four of us ordered the Ahi Tuna. The tuna was perfectly prepared and the side dishes perfectly complimented the main course. Service was outstanding throughout the dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Also, the restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Palm Springs so it is the perfect place to be after dinner is finished.
I had a pleasant dining experience with my friends at Grand Central Palm Springs. The atmosphere is casual and we could hear ourselves talk - always a plus. The hamburger, lamb sliders, and mushroom soup were quite good. The accompanying fries were rather soggy, though. Less good, however, was the cauliflower ceviche - too much red onion. But what needs to be improved the most is the actual seating. The chairs are very small and are solid with absolutely zero cushioning - extremely uncomfortable for more than a few minutes. Certainly not what I think is appropriate for the age demographic of Palm Springs. I'm not asking for "luxurious" - just comfortable for dinner.
Thought the food was very good, small plates. But wish we had known that they have Happy Hour all day. We could have sat in the bar area and gotten the same food for a lower price.
Very personable. Host was very friendly and responsive.
Everyone here was so nice. I love how they serve tea in glass carafes. I can’t wait to try their breakfast as it looks phenomenal, but their waffles and gelato dessert with bacon is the best and absolutely incredible❤️👍😊
Wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. The drinks, food and service made for a wonderful festive evening. You must try the Flamingo’s First Flight cocktail - perfection in a glass. For Christmas Eve they had a 5 course prix fixe meal that started with a wonderful vegetable soup that was great for a cold evening. My husband had the turkey and I the flat iron steak both were excellently presented and delicious.
Interesting menu and good food. There are nothing but hard surfaces in the place so it’s very noisy. It was even very busy when we were there and we had trouble hearing at our 4 top. Can’t imagine what’s it must be like when it’s crowded.
My husband, son, and I had Thanksgiving dinner here on 11/28/19. Let me start with the good. The staff was EXTREMELY accommodating to those of us from out of town with pets. They treated our doggy like family. Unfortunately, that's where the good part ends. We each had the 4 course Thanksgiving turkey dinner for $49.50. We asked that they leave the cranberries off of our son's meal. The butternut squash soup was tasty, but lukewarm. The salad could have been very good but was 75% greens and not nearly enough of the nuts, cheese and dressing that makes salad palatable. Out turkey was dry, the corn was tasteless, Brussels sprouts were overcooked and sweet potatoes were almost entirely unseasoned. They did remember to leave the cranberries off my son's plate but left them off my husband's and mine too for good measure. I asked the server about the cranberries and he stared at me blankly. But that's not even the worst part. After our expensive but disappointing meal, we sat at our table for 25 minutes waiting for our dessert. Our waiter first told us (twice) that the dessert would be "up any minute" but then admitted that the kitchen staff was busy working on meals for other tables but could get to our desserts soon. Eventually we just asked for our check and as we were standing up to leave we were brought our desserts in to go boxes. As a perfect end to the night, we were brought the wrong desserts. There was no attempt by the restaurant to rectify the situation and no apology. We left our thanksgiving meal very thankful that it was over.
We went to Grand Central for dinner. The service was great & so was the food. The owner came & talked to us and asked how we liked the food, especially my dish, because it was new on the menue.
Very good food and staff but hard to hold conversation with noise from tough acoustics.
Once again we had a lovely dinner (with drinks) at Grand Central. The menu is fun and interesting, the drinks are creative and the service is outstanding. We will be back...
Keep up the superb quality, menu choices and food preparation!
Many compliments as well to the waitstaff and bartender. They are friendly without being patronizing, personable and professional.
Those and the reasonable prices for a good meal will keep you head and shoulders above most Palm Springs restaurants. It's an oasis in a desert of overpriced menus and rude or indifferent staff.
It can get a bit loud when the restaurant is busy, but I will put up with it for the treat that is Grand Central!
Great spot for lunch or brunch. Dinner was wonderful too.
Really nothing special. The décor and atmosphere offer some charm, but the menu is ordinary with few vegan options.
This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is made with imagination and a light touch. The menu is varied and inviting. Staff couldn’t be more welcoming and professional.
Menu looked good, food sucked.
The food took an hour. The steak was way over cooked the manager comped the meal. They responded to a bad situation very well.
Fun atmosphere, great food and terrific service... Thanks
Grand central is a great place to eat breakfast or dinner. The food was delicious, and the drinks were well poured. Jeff our waiter was great. Highly recommend it.
