Great good and service. Very knowledgeable server. And generous portions.
We had high expectations after hearing
Perfect place for a lovely little lunch with the ladies
The Avocado Toast is fabulous! Terry was a wonderful server!
Food was excellent. Great place to dress up for. Highly recommend
Gracie's was perfect for our group of six. Quiet, good service and excellent food.
I couldn’t get a vanilla latte and the lobster Benedict was still fabulous.
We were at Gracies on December 29th. First time there and it really was pretty good. They didn't have enough staff for the crowd that morning, but our server was very sweet and did the best he could. They served very cold, and kind of stale, blue star donuts so that is why I'm giving them a lower score for food. Shouldn't serve if not fresh. It is a beautiful old dining room and there weren't many choices for that week for breakfast downtown but we were pleased with our choice. Nice, quiet place for 6 people to have breakfast!
Terry was a wonderful server!
The food and atmosphere were great, however the heat was out in the main restaurant and it was absolutely freezing. This made our breakfast not as enjoyable as we had hoped.
We loved the lobster Benedict and the and the avocado shrimp
Lovely, idyllic spot for breakfast and brunch. The dining room is absolutely gorgeous, the food superb and the service excellence. You can’t go wrong dining at Gracie’s.
We were disappointed the afternoon tea platters had been temporarily discontinued & only had 3 choices in teas. Both were why we originally chose this place. The food we ended up ordering turned out to be really good, but we wish the website menu had been updated. Oh, and no dessert to order for my friend's birthday! Say what?!? For dessert it was recommended we order German pancakes!
Food was amazing and very well presented, as always. Wait staff was very professional. We did have to wait quite awhile to be served and our drinks came out after our food.
Our whole family enjoyed a delicious brunch. Gracie’s is a Lovely place. You have an Excellent staff. Gracie’s is a great restaurant for special occasions.
Such a beautiful atmosphere in this restaurant feels like classic 1950’s Hollywood glam. The food and service match and don’t disappoint. Enjoy!
Food was a it cold and crepe is good so far and the place and decor is outstanding. Device is also good but took a while to get my service done trying to make the bill paid.
The two servers were working their butts off but they just had too much to do so service took a long time and things were forgotten.
The food was ok but the toast was cold and dry - no butter or jam brought to the table. The fruit had brown on it and we never received creamer for the coffee. The drink was not good at all - the Bloody Mary was in a regular juice glass with no celery, olive or even an asparagus! A place that fancy should have had better presentation regarding the food.
We'll try it again and hope there's more help so things are nicer.
Terrible service from someone who tried to charm us. An example - her brought a teapot but not a cup. My guest ad to ask him twice for a cup. Totally unacceptable
Wonderful! We were in town from Virginia and typically take our granddaughters to high tea. Brunch was certainly a nice substitute. I hope in the future you will reinstate that tradition of afternoon tea. Also our waiter was exceptional. He was competent caring and always there when we needed him.
Classic decor. Good food. Pleasant staff. One complaint on food: The lobster sandwich is a hard roll that is too large to pickup and bit off a bit to chew. Lobster was excellent. Staffing level is less than needed for the number of tables so they are frantic trying to keep up with needs of diners. Wait staff did not have the instinct or training to know when to refill coffee or to check in at tables for additional needs. Such are these times. On balance this is still a good place to dine.
Old world ambience is eclipsed by a diverse menu of both breakfast and lunch offerings for lunch. Service was attentive. Food was great, even though fried chicken salad was not a huge hit with one. Lobster Roll and German pancake were amazing. We have dined here for nearly 50 years and never been disappointed.
So nice to have Gracie’s open again.
I love this place!
We enjoyed our meal. The German Pancake would have been better if it came with some apple compote or something. They did provide some jam when asked for, which added some more oomph to it - the pancake itself was delicious. The hamburger was very good. Fruit bowl was average (typical melon and watermelon) - but it did have pineapple and some fresh raspberries. The house coffee was pretty awful - especially for Portland! Perhaps provide a blonde and a dark roast as well.
It was nice to eat out - something I've rarely done since Covid. I can tell folks (staff) are still having a rough time. Hope things improve in 2022.
Family tradition to have brunch at Gracie’s then attend the Nutcracker Ballet.
My husband had the ham benedict and he isn't really a benedict person but everyone recommended it. He loved it! Smoky ham, a small amount of excellent hollandaise instead of the overflow of gross thick stuff most restaurants pour on top. Homemade english muffin under!! I had the German pancake without the powdered sugar on top and with lots of lemon pieces to squeeze on. It was sensational. Coffee was exceptional too.
Sadly, after my husbands experience with the benedict, it appears no other benedict with ever rate as well.
Can't tell you how great our server was. I wish I knew his name to pay him the compliment. He was the perfect mix of professional, friendly and helpful without being too much of any of them. The service was amazing to watch around the restaurant as the wait staff anticipated the needs of the customers.
We were very early so the restaurant wasn't busy, yet. When we return to Portland we will definitely brunch at Gracies again.
The food was delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality.
Great brunch spot. Friendly service and beautiful ambiance inside the Deluxe hotel.
We love the location/hotel and typically the food/service are great. Well this time, not so much! I get that everyone has a bad day now and then!
Service outstanding! New menu items! Love the ambience of Gracie’s- brings back the simple elegance of past.
It is a favorite brunch spot for my friend and me.
We are a group of 7 women friends, and we have an annual breakfast together at Gracie's every Christmas season. The staff is always cheerful and never make us feel rushed. It's our favorite place.
Delicious food in an elegant and restorative atmosphere
Gracie’s is beautiful and delicious.
The food is fantastic quality, delicious,
thoughtful and healthy.
The service is friendly and attentive.
The pandemic has been a challenge for all restaurants and getting staff is not easy. Gracie’s has stepped up their game and doing their very best.
A wonderful experience and we had breakfast every day we were in Portland staying at the hotel DeLuxe. The best.
Second visit in a month. Highly recommended. Service and atmosphere top notch. Few places left in Portland that provide this level of satisfaction.
Perfect Girl’s Day Brunch
Our server was wonderful-- made helpful food suggestions and got us everything we needed, even though they were a bit short staffed. We will be back!
We did the Thanksgiving Set meal. The corn chowder was lovely but much of the rest just wasn’t all that great. My partner’s prime rib arrived cold, as did my turkey. Service was for the most part friendly. I know it’s hard to work a holiday so I appreciate the kind demeanor of the staff.
