    We went for Holiday Tea and Jimmie was our server. She was amazing in her knowledge of the teas. Super friendly and attentive! And, she made up for that the Hotel de Lux had not put up its tree or other decorations yet. We were disappointed about that, but Jimmie, the tea and accompaniments were just as delightful as past years (preCOVID).

    Recently, I heard about Gracie's High Tea through my network connections, and with great excitement, I booked a seating for this past Saturday. High tea happens to be a personal favorite of mine. Regrettably, from the moment I arrived until I departed, the entire experience left me feeling quite disheartened. While the staff was generally pleasant, there was one individual (unfortunately, I couldn't catch his name or find a name tag) who stood out. He was the only male employee that I saw working that day. He appeared to be either extremely anxious or under the influence of something. His interactions with both the other staff and us were noticeably tense and, at times, unnecessary. It detracted from what could have been a delightful experience. On a brighter note, our tea server, Juli, was exceptional. She expertly guided us through the various teas, providing insightful details about their history and the meal process. Despite apologizing in advance for potential wait times due to understaffing, she managed the situation admirably. Now, the ultimate letdown for me was the food. Having followed Gracie's High Tea on social media, the images portrayed a mouthwatering experience. Unfortunately, what we received fell short of expectations. The top tier of the food was inedible, with "scones" resembling rocks and cookies appearing lifeless and burnt. Only the chicken sandwich and lemon bars lived up to the enticing photos. Unfortunately I would not recommend this high tea service.

    Had another wonderful experience at Gracie’s for afternoon tea. Through our reservation on Open Table we tried to place in the comments for a vegan option. There was a disconnect between Open Table and Gracie’s. The Chef and staff were able to come up with some options for the vegan in our group. We were very appreciative of their flexibility. If there are any dietary restrictions, calling the front desk of the Hotel Deluxe is your best bet, which we will be doing next year.

    Thanksgiving Dinner, by reservation only. So how did they run out of food? Two of the menu items were completely gone, empty serving dishes. There were a few dried out slices of turkey left, a few spoonfuls of potatoes, and everything was cold. There was not a hot dish of food on the buffet table. The staff was welcoming and it was obvious that they were embarrassed. We did tell a server that the food was cold and he muttered something about sterno and ran away. I don’t blame him. He never came back. That is our plan, as well.

    Kitchen did not buy enough food for the buffet. That said the staff were incredibly friendly, professional and doing their absolute best. I would absolutely try it again.

    We were really looking forward to this special evening for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, it was understaffed and unorganized and they ran out of a lot of their food by 530. The waitress never came back to ask us if we wanted a second glass of wine and they never served coffee after dinner. Seems like a missed opportunity for the restaurant since they make a lot of their income from the bar. As buffet goes, the food was flavorful, but by the time they would restock anything that was empty, your food was cold. We probably won’t go back for Thanksgiving again .

    We were underwhelmed by the Gracie’s Grand Thanksgiving buffet. When we went thru the line there were no mashed potatoes and they did not fill them up promptly. The dressing was baked into hard nuggets in apparently muffin tins and then cut in two inedible pieces. Almost all the food trays were nearly empty, and we went through a second time with the same result. The turkey was moist and tasted ok as did the gravy, but again there was only one slice available and another pan of shredded turkey. The dessert was tiny pieces of pumpkin pie and a scarce selection of cookies. I have never left a bad review before, but expected better from Gracie’s. The wait staff was pleasant and helpful. But we won’t be doing Gracie’s Grand Thanksgiving Buffet again.

    Having the buffet in a separate room made the food not very warm by the time we got it to the table. The stuffing was dry. The mashed potatoes and prime rib were excellent. Our waiter and sommelier were fabulous. The high point was the bar for a Spanish coffee.

    Sunday brunch is very nice. Good food and service. I do wish they would offer some nice pastries to choose from on the menu or a pastry cart would be a great addition to the Sunday brunch.

    For the amount of $ they charge food could be better after we get seated the tea and food took too long we got seated @3pm food didn't arrive till 3:30pm too long to wait and limited choice food wise server is five star service i though

    If you are looking for an afternoon tea which is tasty, reasonably priced as teas go, in a warm setting,and where you can easily converse with your companion(s), this is it! The dining room here retains its elegance. The service is terrific, friendly and welcoming. The seating is conducive to conversation, especially in the curved booths. The savory and sweet treats were scrumptious. Our favorites were the chicken salad on brioche, and the scones. Just the right amount of sweet, no sugar hangovers. This part of town has taken a bit of a hit, but I left in the dark to go to my car and felt absolutely safe. We have bern patronizing Gracie’s since it was the Mallory. We that celebs like to stay in the hotel when they are town because it is off the beaten path.. Gracie’s no longer serves dinner, but we will return for brunch…and tea!

    The food was delicious and the table service great. The only sour note was the rather surly and unwelcoming demeanor of the hostess. We explained we were a few minutes early for a noon reservation and she stared at us and announced ‘You’ll have to wait. You can come back at noon.” We returned at noon and, without a smile, she said ‘Follow me.’ We felt unwelcome until our server came - he was relaxed and charming. I recommend some training for the person greeting your guests.

    Gracie’s is a pleasant hotel restaurant that served our needs well the morning of my wedding, when we were staying in a suite upstairs. Food was fine, service pleasant. I would not go out of my way to eat here again but it worked well for us as guests at the hotel.

    Gracie's is a gracious dining place in a classic hotel. The server was engaged and amusing, the food quite good. As with almost all restaurants, they could have used another server or two. We didn't have to wait, but the waitperson was very, very busy. The chairs at the table we were shown to both had crumbs on them and were a bit worn. Nothing else I noticed was worn; linens were fresh. We were there for Saturday brunch, and a wedding was about to happen, so perhaps they were busier than normal for the day.

    Beautiful environment and the food was nice but the service was not in matching the higher end feel of the restaurant. Not greeted at all even with a reservation, very minimal interaction and what interaction there is is very dry and not friendly

    Gracie's used to have great servers and host. No more. That era is gone for good it looks like. Terrible table service. Ornery host. I definitely recommend people stay away.

    We had breakfast for six people at Gracie's yesterday. Our waitress was fabulous. She was very personable and helpful. The service was good but not very timely. We spent a long time waiting. In addition, the music was way too loud and our waitress was unable to do anything about it. We had a hard time hearing each other. So, good but not great experience overall.

    The food was delicious, served hot, and perfect portions. The environment is charming and beautifully appointed. There were two servers for the entire restaurant which means the service was delayed. It took 10 minutes to get a second glass of water. Our server needs training but has potential. Coming to the table and asking,"What's up?" and walking away while the customer is mid-sentence is unprofessional and unappreciated. Perhaps if the hostess would've gotten off her cell phone and helped at least pour coffee and water, the servers would have more time and energy to be cordial. We'd like to go back again but are deterred by the poor service.

    I feel warmly greeted, as if those at Gracie's were actually happy that I had chosen to come there. Well done; what normal is supposed to be but more often is not these days. Thank you. Our server was excellent: good rhythm of going and coming; friendly in just the right way. And, to my complete surprise, she herself constructed a Lemonade, from scratch, even though it was not on the menu. "Sure, let me make you one." It was delicious. But what excellent initiative she showed. Thank you.
