This visit with good friends reconfirmed that George's French Bistro is THE best restaurant for celebrating a special occasion in Wichita. It was a beautiful evening with a slight breeze and we had reserved a table on the outside patio - the perfect combination. Highly recommended!
By far the best food that I have had in Wichita! I would say this is a higher end restaurant, so be ready for the prices to go with it. HOWEVER! I would say it is well worth it.
Phenomenal food and Noah was great. Bass, salmon and opera cake was great.
Wonderful food, ambiance and service. I would highly recommend. A diamond in the rough.
Wonderful evening out with my wife. Great food, impeccable service. Thanks for a great evening
Superior food, service and ambiance. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable, perhaps an intentional natural limit to seating time.
Just perfect. Great service and quality of food.
The service and food were outstanding!! Chris and Trevor were very knowledgeable on the drinks and foods. Best service that we have had in a while!!
Great food. A bit noisy and crowded but it’s worth it
Excellent night out: food is delicious and Service is top notch.
Awesome food with even better service! Would definitely recommend and will be back!
Family in town
Food was great and waiter was amazing
Excellent as usual. Everything prepared and cooked correctly. Great service.
The food and service were outstanding. My only complaint about Georges is their tables are too small.
Another win, George!!!
Fantastic experience start to finish, food, service, pace, it was all great! Will definitely be back!
Hosted a bridesmaid proposal at Georges and everything was perfect!!! They were so helpful from the beginning, our service was amazing, and drinks, dinner and dessert was perfect as always.
Our table was right next to the door, so there was a lot of traffic, which we did not care for; however, the service was outstanding. I ordered the salad with goat cheese and strawberries and added chicken. It was delicious. We did order the truffle fries as an appetizer, and I liked them better when we ordered them before. This time, they seemed a little soggy and not as crisp.
Terrific ! And our wait-person, Caroline, couldn’t have been more attentive !
Everything was exceptional in creating the experience that one might be in Paris. What was disappointing is that the Brie appetizer with Brie, fruit, and Ritz/Townhouse crackers instead of day old baguette. A fine dining experience at a French restaurant should expect no less. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he graciously brought warm French bread. But soft Brie needs a crostini as a contrast. It is a texture thing in which soft contrasts with hard, sweet of Brie with sour of pear and blackberries. My Chicken pollard was astounding.
Great food and great service! If I had to say anything derogatory, it would be the tables were positioned pretty close to one another and the noise level was a little high.
My husband is a steak snob and this place checks all his boxes. I’ve never ordered anything I didn’t like and the atmosphere and service are top notch. You will not be disappointed!
Always a wonderful dining experience
Delicious food, gorgeous setting, wonderful service! Will definitely be back!
The food was excellent....Out waiter was the best......Great place to go for dinner. Wish they were again open for lunch. Have been there a number of times and it is always a super experience. Will be back next Saturday with another couple. We drive about 50 minutes to get there .....Certainly worth the trip.
The food was delicious and and our waiter was phenomenal!
Great food, great service, food came out quick. Would highly recommend
Outstanding food and service, can’t wait to go back.
The flies inside were horrible! Ruined the dining experience. Ordered the 6 oz filet that was round as a meatball. Undercooked and couldn’t cut with steak knife.
Disappointing as usually a great place.
We went as a toast to our new marriage, and the entire experience was incredible. Highly recommend trying something new while you're there. I'd say fish and seafood is more their specialty but that's based on a single visit. Absolutely would recommend as a date night or celebration type meal.
It was a girls night out. Sat out on the patio - beautiful evening. Had appetizers and wine to start. Calamari is excellent. Shrimp cocktail has the hugest shrimp! Filets were cooked to perfection. And dessert- OMG! Had 3 different desserts and shared. Great night with great friends and perfect setting!
Our waiter Kennedy was super awesome and very knowledgeable of the menu. The only downside was the flies in the restaurant and one of my friends found a dead fly in her dessert. Kennedy took care of it but kind of off putting paying hundreds at our table of 10. Still love y’all, but maybe try to figure something out about the swarm of flies plz ♥️
This was our second visit to George's. I like that the decor is upscale but you are just as welcome in a suit or in shorts and sandals. The atmosphere is energetic but not overly loud. You can have a pleasant dinner conversation but it isn't quiet. The front of the restaurant opens to the patio dining and so the seating flows from indoor to outdoor seamlessly. My one observation here is that the open patio does mean you will deal with some flies that make their way into the open front entrance. We arrived during their happy hour so we ordered cocktails and appetizers from the happy hour menu. The shrimp cocktail sauce was a bit bland but everything else was great. I ordered the filet and my wife the red fish feature. Both were perfect. The filet at George's is better than any high end steakhouse. I am a steak snob, and this was among the very best. The sides were paired perfectly with our entrees and we didn't make any adjustments. We also find that George's desserts and delicious. We've had the Opera cake and pear crepes in the past. This visit we tried Berries Pavlova. So far the opera cake has been my favorite, but I intend to try them all!
Crepe Diane was delicious and I thought, “no way I can like the next one this much” and then I ate the crepe josselin and was blown away not only by the flavor but how filling it was!
Had a lemongrass luau and it was good, but I’ve had the bottom of the ninth in the past and probably prefer it.
We had the charcuterie board and the fruit spreads were great, but the cheeses definitely stole the show.
Excellent evening despite crowded seating and LOUD atmosphere.
We tend to save George's for special occasions. This time, a major wedding anniversary. Our server, Chris, was outstanding. Likewise, the ambience and food were incredible. Highly recommend George's!
Our first time at George's and we loved it! Food, service and atmosphere was top notch!! Kennedy was an excellent host. We will be back
