   Went for happy hour with another couple. This place is on the third floor and no elevator. We knew that so no problem. You can make reservations for happy hour which not many places allow. There’s a back lanai and a front lanai. I didn’t know that or I would have requested the one overlooking Lewers instead of the parking lot. Great service. Everyone liked the food as well as drinks.

   The chicken ragaane was fantastic. They were like chix nuggets but better with 3 yummy sauces. The grilled ahi with creamy garlic sauce was a lick the plate dish. The use ice cream with fried taro was worth the wait

   We came back to Genius Lounge after eating there the last time we were in Waikiki. Everything was tasty, though the cheese on the nachos could use an upgrade from what appeared to be Velveeta. The Mochiko chicken was very tender and flavorful. The mac-nut mango cheese was also a good flavor combination. The restaurant is on Lewers, but away from the main part of Waikiki on the third floor of a building with two other restaurants in it and seems to mostly attract Japanese tourists (the website defaults to Japanese) and locals, and the menu reflects both influences.
