Phenomenal anniversary dinner.......thank you to Gwen for a great experience......
The outdoor seating was fantastic and service/food top notch as always
Food was excellent and relaxing atmosphere was perfect to enjoy time with my family.
Enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar with sister & adult daughter. Nice service, charming setting, comfortable space between other guests. Delightful start to our annual post-Thanksgiving get together. Dining room was nicely lit - not too bright or dark, sound level was great-easy to have a conversation, dinner was wonderful and service was as well. We weren’t rushed and enjoyed our visit.
The birthday celebration at the General Warren Inne was outstanding. Food was delicious, especially the filet meatloaf. Highly recommend.
Excellent Thanksgiving meal in a very nice ambiance. Service excellent.
Very disappointed in the turkey meal. Turkey and stuffing were extremely dry. On the other hand, the filet was very good.
My family enjoyed a great Thanksgiving meal. Great food and service. General Warren continues to be a favorite venue for the family.
Everyone enjoyed their meal. Food was very good, service was excellent, and the ambience just right for Thanksgiving! We have enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at General Warren for several years and will continue to go back.
A wonderful Thanksgiving dinner!
The General Warren Inn continues to be a great dining experience in the area. The Thanksgiving meal was wonderful.
Beautiful historic building with a fireplace and warm ambiance. Our waiter, Jeffery, was engaging and on point with service. The Beef Wellington was prepared to perfection. The meal was very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for every day dining or a special occasion.
Everything was perfect. Attentive service, cocktails that were tasty and everyone’s diners were delicious. This place is just consistently fantastic.
The beef is always outstanding. Wait staff is very professional. It is an expensive restaurant, but of very high quality.
The server had to of been the worst server we had anywhere.
My husband and I stayed for our anniversary. We had a great time! Our room was very nice and clean and dinner was amazing! Breakfast the next day was delivered to our room with homemade hot pastries! Would definitely go back!
This was an exceptional meal from start to finish. The entire team was warm and friendly. The food was delicious and preparations were unique. I would highly recommend The General Warren to anyone looking for a special night out.
Wonderful evening from cocktails to dessert.
Birthday Dinner. Excellent service, food, and ambiance. Had a wonderful evening.
Second time I have been there. The first time was excellent and we had an outstanding server (Jeffery). This time the food was just as good but our server was average, at best. We will go back and highly recommend.
Upscale, warm, inviting ambience. White table cloths, candlelight, reflect historic charm and whispered stories from the past, Bar looked inviting as we passed it. Seafood choices were plentiful. Meat entrees were few and not beguiling. I always eat seafood so I was pleased, but my spouse had a few very ordinary choices.
We had the best server. “Jamie”. He made our night.
Beautiful and welcoming environment with high quality delicious food!
Great dinner out to celebrate a birthday. Amazing service.
This was a wonderful dining experience! Everything all around was perfect
Warm and comfortable; great service, great food.
Only wish there was Allagash or Hoegarrten on the menu.
Otherwise, a 5!
We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my husband at the General Warren. The ambiance was warm and cozy with lovely art and a crackling fire in the fireplace. All of our meals met our high expectations for the General Warren. We always have top shelf meals here. We had the Steak Au Poivre, pork with gnocchi, and the Halibut. Everyone loved their entrees, soup and salad.
Great place. We were a little cold sitting under the tent on a cold night. It was mainly from the wind blowing under the tent.
Lovely restaurant to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The hosts and waitstaff are intuitive, professional and personable. The Beef Wellington was delicious and our desserts were scrumptious.
Great atmosphere and very good food and service for reasonable pricing.
We love the General Warren Inn. I had the ahi tuna which was perfect: barely cooked, no coating of any kind, not stringy, just perfect. My husband had the filet mignon meatloaf which he enjoyed.
The service was not up to the usual standards and we attribute that to worker shortages during the pandemic. The servers worked together to assure that we received our orders, beverages, etc. The ambiance was active but quiet.
We continue to recommend it for special occasions and whenever you want a wonderful meal in a lovely atmosphere.
Great food however service not as great. We were seated outside in the breezeway area, near the windows. I felt we were forgotten by our waitress and she didn’t seem to happy to be servicing us. Maybe she was overworked, unsure. Had to ask for our drinks because they never showed. Bread showed up to the table after our appetizers (odd). Thank god the food was delicious and made up for the mishaps. Will go back but hope not to get the unpleasant waitress who forgot us.
We love the ambiance and the food. The General Warren is a favorite of ours even though it an hour drive for us.
We met with friends that we had not seen for over 2 yrs due to Covid. We chose an early time 5:30. We had a wonderful evening. The service and food were excellent. All enjoyed the food and anbience. We lingered after dessert for some time until about 8:40. The staff graciously refilled water glasses and coffees adding to the enjoyment.
Great example of beautiful old PA stone houses. Great service and good food.
The ambiance at this restaurant is exceptional. I love the various types of rooms from the cozy bar complete with fireplace, to the colonial dining area, front sun, porch, and larger rooms for big parties. The outdoor area is also delightfully charming. Indoors last evening it was remarkably quiet with nice relaxing music. Food was great as well. I have to eat gluten free and there were numerous excellent GF options on the menu. Service was friendly and quick. My only suggestion for improvement would be a little stronger pour on the mixed drinks in the bar but will definitely return and highly recommend.
The food was delicious, the environment is beautiful. Service was nowhere near what I would have expected. Our initial order of Five drinks came out In five different trips to the bar. Waitress consistently reached across parties, dropped food on the table, and had a generally surly demeanor over all. Other servers/bussers were great. I would mention her by name but have no idea cause she never introduced herself. Will definitely give it another try but that really bummed she impacted our experience.
Just not the same.....the menu is more upper NYC, miss the Caesar Salad prepared at the table. Food was very good but way too many additives.
Food, ambiance and service was fantastic. Love the fact that we weren’t being rushed out. We were able to enjoy our food.
