Sunday brunch was amazing. It's a little pricey but the endless mimosas are worth it. I will definitely be back.
We had a really bad experience, we went for dinner at 6:30 pm, they didn't have any sangria made and told us they would make it for us, we didn't get it until after we had our meals, we ordered two skirt steak dinners and after waiting for a few minutes the waitress came out and informed us they run out of steaks, at that time we decided we were going to a different restaurant, the assistant manager came out and told us that it was niscommunication and they actually had our steaks, he offered to take care of us because of the inconvenience, which he did, the staff was very nice, they apologized constantly and were the reason we stayed. Our steak dinners were the worst we ever had, the meat looked like scraps, absolutely the worse ever. Would never come back to it.
Food and service were awesome! Will def be back when in Tampa!
Our second Sunday Brunch to Gaspar's was amazing all over again! I have been recommending this place to friends since we visited last summer and finally had the chance to go back again ourselves. The servers are amazing, friendly and happy to help. The buffet is always full with a wide variety. The juice/mimosa bar is my favorite part, there are so many choices and I love that the bloody marys, mimosas and the brunch is all inclusive! We will be back soon :)
Went here for brunch while in town visiting. We had an amazing time. Service was good and they were fun. Food was amazing
Thank you for a great experience.
I loved the service... Our Waitress was attentive and the manager was a great team player... The bartender taught me how to make a beautiful Bloody Mary... Great place!! Highly Recommended.... A hidden Diamond in Tampa
Fun decor, good food and beverage.
Enjoyed our dinner! One of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever had. Noise was a little loud but it was Sat night so that was expected. Very cool place with lots of Pirate stuff! Enjoyed it!!
Great all you can eat buffet with delicious prime rib and seafood selection
This was a family dinner, reservation was available at time requested, seating was desirable, moderately busy for holiday evening. Food was ordered and presented as requested, food quality was good and fairly priced.
When meal was over and we were ready to leave I presented a CC for payment which the server took and I assumed went to close out the transaction. After about 20 min I had not been presented with the CC voucher to sign and finalize so I asked about it. Server then said I did not give her a CC and became defensive when I insisted I did, at this point a manager (Mike) was engaged in the situation. The server had provided her side of the situation and the manager sided with her and expected me to again provide some form of payment to cover my bill. After us looking for my CC my brother found it under the counter in the server station still in the bill folder that had been presented earlier with my bill enclosed. I then went and retrieved Mike and brought him to the server station and asked him to look through the piled up bills/CC folders under the counter, he then discovered my CC as it had originally been placed. When he pulled it out and handed it to me he provided a weak apology and I said to him "I assume my bill will be covered due to the inconvenience I had experienced" his response, ABSOLUTELY NOT! The bill came to $44.00+ and he agreed to take $20.00 cash. The server never returned to offer an apology and we left and WILL NEVER return. This was not our first time there.
I would not recommend this place due to my experience and their lack of interest in resolving inconvenient situations with customers. CC USERS BEWARE!
The only things better than the food were the service and the aumbiance.
Es un lindo lugar y deves tratar lo.
Fish tacos very disappointing but Salmon was delicious!
We had awful service, waited almost an hour for food, they were out of condiments, prices were too high for the kinds of food served. Won't ever be back.
Went for brunch on Father’s Day and it was the worst experience ever! The manager didn’t want to seat or accommodate us even though she had several reservations for 10am and 10:30 that were no shows and canceled. She attempted to give us seating in the front of the restaurant instead in doors or out on the patio. There was plenty of seating and she kept repeating well they have reservations, so did I!!
Found a very long black hair in my bacon and the food was subpar. Extremely disappointed!!!!
Early Father’s Day celebration
Came for brunch and endless mimosas with one of my girl friends. Service and food was great! Went outside to the patio afterwards to continue on with our Sunday funday! Plan to be back!
Fun evening with great food. Could make a fabulous meal out of the appetizers alone! Only negative was that waitress brought entrees right after the appetizers.
Visiting Ybor City from California and Gaspar’s Grotto was a great place to grab a beer and a good meal. Margharira Pizza was tasty. Good local beers.
This was our first visit, and the food and service would definitely bring us back. The restaurant is very much a bar atmosphere, but the food was incredibly fresh and prepared just right. Eric was our server for lunch. He was full of energy and happily answered any questions we had about the food and drink mens. Based on our experience, we will definitely go back when we are in Ybor.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday brunch! Food, friendly service and incredible selection was superb! Looking forward to our next visit when in Ybor.
Great staff. Seated right about on time. Unfortunately I chose high-top seating instead of Outdoor thinking I'd be safe from the rain. Nope - their hightops ARE OUTDOORS so we all got quite wet during the downpoor this weekend.
Love the Sunday brunch buffet!
The Sunday brunch was epic, especially dessert (get that first). The service was stellar. The entrees and sides were awesome. My only complaints are the thin slice of prime rib, 3 crab legs and 3 oysters. Don't advertise "all you can eat" if you're going to limit portions with your staff. It's embarrassing enough asking for more food at a buffet then being told no. If I was able to get more than 3 oysters this would have been 5 stars.
2 -1/2 to get pizza and they order was wrong. One of the orders of food was cold. Server was nice but clearly didn’t seem to know what was going on. We went on a Tuesday night when it wasn’t busy either.
We had brunch on Mother's Day and although there was an issue with our initial Open Table reservation and Gaspars had to move it from the 1st seating to the 2nd seating, the hostesses were awesome and very accommodating in getting us seated on the patio. I have been going to Gaspars for a long time, mostly at night, but never with kids and I was surprised at how welcoming "a bar" was to the kids. I highly recommend Gaspars to for not just brunch but any time you want to have a good time! Good food, great bar choices and awesome live music.
We've had mother's day brunch here twice now and both times have been great. It's a busy day, but the atmosphere is fun and the spread is great!
Visited for the 130 brunch last Sunday. Everything was great. Just need more communication on how everything works with the mimosas. The bartender was rude to a guest in my party because he asked her for something she could have gotten. Other than her everything else was spot on.
The Sunday Booze Cruise Brunch was AMAZING! The food on the 50 foot plus buffet was quite varied with something for everyone! The service was impeccable! At first it may seem a bit expensive, but given the fact you are given a bottle of Champaign, and a sample of vodka to use at the Bloody Mary or juice bar it is quite the value! There are 2 different brunch seating's. IF you can make the first seating, I would recommend it. You are given a colored wristband depending on your seating. The crowd seemed much larger for the second seating.
Even though your reservation is confirmed with Opentable, expect to receive a call from Gaspars to once again confirm. Try to answer if you can, as getting back to them can be a bit of a challenge.
My brother lives in Tampa for years and said that this was a “must” for a brunch spot while we were there. Our server was also the bartender outdoors and stayed his the night manager most of the time....he was fantastic and explained the brunch set up very well. The only reason this wasn’t 5 stars all around would be because of the woman at the omelet station. She called me stupid because I couldn’t understand her cold and rude form of sarcasm. She really was not kind at all. Music and food were amazing. Will recommend to others.
They did not have our reservation in the system. Not sure what happened there- I booked it about an hour before on Opentable. They were able to seat us anyway. Brunch was excellent and service was excellent.
Good energy. Noel and Cam were awesome and very entertaining. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Loved it. We always love it!!!
Cuban sandwich was good. Did not like the fact that soda was served by the can and tasted flat.
The worst service I have ever had in a restaurant. Beer was flat, flank steak was good but flan was burnt and over cooked to the point of being rubbery.
Easter Brunch with family and friends, Spring Break vacation.
after 8 years living in Tampa, never have been in this place, Looking for Sunday brunch on Open table I found it described as a Cuban , really they dont have nothing from Cuban cuisine
price exaggerate High $40 box per adult in this price is included a Champagne bottle for the mimosa and 3onces Vodka for the blody mary
if you don't drink all the Champagne or vodka you can't take it with you
Talking about Hygiene in my opinion , place looks dirty, the Waitress far away from a professionals , the live music Terrible,
Dont waste your time and money going to this place
We had a reservation for my birthday but when we arrived they did not know we were coming and did not have our table ready so it was disappointing. We had a lot of people. If it were not for that I would have given four stars. I emailed the manager the next day and he never responded. He was the one I set everything up with including this site.
Good food, not the greatest first experience but it all improved afterwards. Our table was reserved but it was outdoors it was raining so they did accommodate first available table for 8. Alot of the appetizer were sold out, the food we did have was delicious. The waitress was good she hurried on our order cause we had reservation for a show nearby. Overall good place.
Gaspars is unique for its Sunday brunch. Not fancy but very fun with very good food. But it’s a drinking brunch. The champagne flows freely and the Bloody Mary bar can make your Sunday comatose. And it’s all included in the 40 buck price
We tried to order 2 of their signature dishes (the cuban) and were told they ran out. Our second choice was a steak sandwich. Our food came out of the kitchen raw and still bleeding. Yeah When we sent it back, they returned with the same soggy bread, soggy fries, and now fully cooked but dry meat. When we spoke to the manager, his tone was rude and condescending to the point of making not only my companion cry, but our waitress also. We were eventually asked to leave as our request for fully cooked food and courteous service was too much to ask for.
On a side note, their sangria also tasted watered down like straight apple juice.
