We had a very nice meal at Gaido's. Good friends of ours were in town visiting, so we took them to Gaido's for their wedding anniversary dinner. They each had one of the Red Snapper dinner specials and were very happy with their choices. Because it was their anniversary, Gaido's treated the table with a complimentary dessert. The waiter was attentive but did not hover our table. Service was very good. Wine is definitely not his strong suite, as he stumbled verbally when I asked him about what red blends were available. So, I had a beer instead, as did our good friend, even though Gaido's beer selection is about on par with their selection of red blends.

The Red Snapper Michael was amazing. It might have been the freshest and most delicious red snapper I have ever eaten. My wife was thrilled with the shrimp and grits. The service was impeccable. There when you needed, but not hovering. The place was quiet, as a cloudy foggy day didn't bring many people to the Galveston Seawall for lunch on a Monday. Desserts were delicious. I had the cheesecake, while others enjoyed the creme brulee.

It was my birthday. Most of my daughter-in-law’s family is from Philadelphia. Her father has traveled extensively and was impressed. It was a lovely afternoon, enjoyed by our group.

Gaido’s hosted my mother’s 69th birthday dinner. Our table was ready as requested by open table reservation. My entire party was greeted and welcomed by all visible staff including management. The food was served in unison, and nothing that was served wasn’t enjoyed. The pasta creamy light balanced with seafood and cheese. Oysters first time eating them flavorful. The snapper and stuffed shrimp my mom enjoyed without complaint and the desserts were massive and delicious. The restaurant is aged but the food is made with care it is family owned and worth your time and money. Try this restaurant.

Everything was delicious!!! Our server, Justin, was fantastic and made our table of four a fantastic “off the menu” appetizer tray as a special request. His recommendations were followed by several at our table and were absolutely delicious! Seafood was so fresh!!! I highly recommend the grilled oysters!!

We had our anniversary dinner at Gaido’s. We had several recommendations from staff at our condo and from other locals. The grilled oyster combo is awesome! The magi magi was fantastic! And the shrimp are huge! Our waiter Erik was a delight! Super knowledgeable and friendly! We will definitely go back!

Food was better than average especially the raw and cooked oysters. The spinach and onion rings were good. The entrees were good but none were served hot. The lag time between a request and delivery of that request was excessive. I would only recommend if service improved. You only received a three star rating

Gaidos provided a great a date night with friends while we visited Galveston Island. The oysters (raw and grilled) were superb. The table had a mix of the pork chop, scallops, red snapper Michael, and the tile fish special. Everyone loved their meal.

Gaidos was amazing from the moment we walked in until the end. We came with a large party 28 and they were over the top accommodating for our group, not to mention it was Spring Break weekend. The managers and wait staff work harmoniously together. The timing of food was perfect, it was delicious. Our servers Armando and Marcello we amazing! We will highly recommend Gaidos and we will definitely be back! Thank you Gaidos for providing impeccable service and food!

First time at Gaido’s and it did not disappoint! Our waiter was outstanding and very personable. Pecan crusted red snapper was delicious. Our waiter asked us if we we’re celebrating a special occasion and we replied “no”, just enjoying a nice dinner out. He brought us a complimentary Pecan pie with ice cream and wished us a Happy Anniversary with a wink. Will definitely be back when we return to Galveston Island.

Had reservations for 8 pm. Didn’t get greeted when we walked in. We checked in with the host(s) and they said a table would be ready shortly. No problem. We walked around the gift shop and talked a bit. 45 mins later we asked the host(s) when our table would be ready. The first host told us 45 mins to an hour. My husband spoke with the other host and told her we had reservations at 8 pm. She was nice and apologized and said we would get a table immediately. We did get a table immediately. We then waited half an hour to get water. We ordered right away and ended up waiting another hour and a half for our food. Our waiter did bare minimum. Another waiter heard our baby getting upset and came over to apologize for the wait and asked if he could get us anything. This other waiter was amazing! He wasn’t assigned to us but went above and beyond! Besides the serves, the food was okay. Most of our food was cold. Super sad because I really wanted to love this place.
