At Fukurou, you will enjoy an Omakase-style experience featuring a unique blend of local Hawaiian cuisine, Japanese Kaiseki, and a delicate touch of Mexican flare. Located inside of Buho Cocina y Cantina, we are tucked away incorporating a speak-easy aspect to our omakase.
Hours of operation: Tuesday - Friday
Seating Times (2 seatings per night): 5:30pm and 8:00pm
Price: $90 for a 12 course omakase (per person)
We validate parking for Waikiki Shopping Plaza lot. Please email fukurou@westmancorp.com for any questions.
*Reservations may be cancelled up to 2 days in advance. Within 48 hours of the reservation a cancellation fee will incur of $65 per person. *

Fantastic omakase in a hidden space tucked on the roof of another restaurant. The food quality and flavors were excellent and the intimate setting with only 8 diners and two chefs preparing our meal made it an exceptional experience.

Absolutely loved our experience at Fukurou! This spot is a hidden gem that delivers an incredible culinary journey without the high-end price tag you typically expect from omakase experiences in the area. And when I say hidden I mean like it was giving a speak-easy vibe just trying to find the place. From start to finish, the meal was thoughtfully curated and executed with care and attention to detail. What stood out the most was the presentation. It was simple, clean, and elegant, allowing the quality of the ingredients to truly shine. Each course was plated with intention but never felt overdone or pretentious. It’s clear the chefs focused on flavor first, and it showed in every bite. From melt-in-your-mouth cuts of fish to perfectly seasoned rice and wagyu meat, every element was balanced and harmonious. Despite being one of the more affordable omakase options nearby, there was absolutely no compromise in quality. In fact, it exceeded our expectations. The pacing was perfect, the ambiance intimate, and the staff was warm, attentive, and funny, adding to the entire experience. If you’re looking for an omakase that’s approachable, generous in flavor, and genuinely worth every penny, Fukurou is a must-try. We left full, satisfied, and already planning to come back next time!

An incredible omakase experience! The setting was intimate, perfect for a date night, and the food was absolutely delicious. We were lucky to vibe with the other guests, which made the night even more fun and memorable. Highly recommend!

We had an awesome Omakase experience. It was sbery unexpected in the back of a Mexican restaurant. Mickey and her assistant made our dining experience relaxed, informative and wonderful.

amazing omakase with a speakeasy vibe. Beyond delicious, the chefs were so talented. The only thing I will say is it was REALLY difficult to find the restaurant as it’s not listed on the Waikiki shopping plaza directory and when we asked employees for help we kind of walked circles around the place.

Excellent experience! Each course is very well thought out. The noise isn’t too bad even though it’s a bit of a speakeasy inside a Mexican restaurant that turns into a club. Would love to go back!
