Valentines Day. The place was very busy. It seemed to be understaff, but the small staff was working extremely hard to meet the demand, so service was a bit slow. The food however was excellent. We had the appetizer with shrimp and mushroom and the sea bass as an entre. We had a great time. Did not order coffee because the staff was slammed and we did not want to wait.need to go back on a regular night.

A valentines three course menu had been prepared with a nice variety to choose from. Seating was expedited which was nice. The ambiance was also nice. As the venue began filling up, the service quickly diminished. The food was very good once it arrived. After the main course, the wait was extremely long for the final course. Overall the experience would have been better if the service had not diminished.

Worst experience ever.
The owner was serving and our dinner was completed around 7:00 pm.
We asked him what's closing time, and he responded "it will be closed as soon as you leave."
It is only 7:00 pm, and we asked him again about the official business hours.
But surprisingly he insulted us like "you are going to stay till midnight after eating $50 meal.
We were shocked by his comments, actually it was a contempt!

We meant allowing only few more min maximum 10 - 20 min to have a chat, and it was still very early hours for dinner.

He yelled at us, and showed us the highest rudeness as he can.
We had to leave the place with upset stomach.
Our special occasion had ruined completely.
It was Very SAD and bitter experience I had ever.

We were enticed to go there by their restaurant week menu. I had a delicious vegetable bisque, braised short ribs and a bowl of the best ice cream I have ever had. My short ribs were fall apart tender and very flavorful. The vegetables on the side were perfectly done. Ice cream was not one of the deserts on the restaurant week menu but because of an allergy, neither of the desserts on the menu were suitable for me. They happily substituted the ice cream. My husband's meal was equally delightful to him. We shared a bottle of Piper-Sonoma, our go to compromise wine because 'bubbly goes with everything." The only thing we didn't like was that we felt a little exposed, as there was only one other table occupied in the whole restaurant at 7:30 on a Thursday evening. We'd like to see this place a little fuller.

We dined here with friends during recent Restaurant Week. We had not been there before and we were not disappointed. The food and ambience were wonderful. Plating was beautiful. There was a large very loud group next to us that made conversation difficult. Our only other complaint was the rudeness of the bus boy/man. All the empty wine glasses were left on the table until we left...annoying.

The food was marginal. The main course was ice cold when it arrived. Service was the worst we’ve ever had. When dessert was served, dirty dishes from the main course remained on the table and remained there until we left the restaurant.

I went on the last Sunday of restaurant week at 6:30 by myself looking for a place with good French food. Pretty empty when I got there but it filled up quickly. Owner took my order and helped me decide what to order (special menu with limited but very good selections only). First course came quickly, entree was more of a wait but not totally out of line. I was never asked if I wanted another glass of wine nor was my water refilled. The check was laid on the table (no folio) before I got desert. Seemed surprised I had not had it yet. A couple at the next tale that came in when I did was also still waiting for desert but was not given check yet. I asked for hot tea to have with my desert but never got it. Desert was good as the rest of the food was. I don't know if the service issue was because it was Restaurant Week although I would think they would plan for that especially at the end of the week. I like to think it was not due to me being a female by myself but the couple next to me were checked on several times while I was only once. I was very disappointed.

Very slow service...they seemed to be out of clean dishes, we had to share bread plates and we had to ask for silverware at each course...had to ask for bread, ask for water multiple times...ordered a bottle of wine and was just poured all around without tasting, waiter stated “oh no one returns this one!”
Entree was lukewarm and one of our tables prime sirloin well done when med rare was ordered.we were there for rest week meal...possibly restaurant couldnt handle extra business! Too bad because it is good advertising for restaurant not just money maker for them.

I made 4 p.m. reservations, admittedly an odd hour. I had, however, checked Yelp and the restaurant website. Both listed the hours as 11 to 9. I made a reservation through OpenTable. The reservation was processed, a confirmation email, with confirmation number, arrived and all was right with the world, I thought.
Little did I know. We arrived at 4:03, admittedly three minutes late. The door to the restaurant was open, a sign in the window listed the hours as 11 to 9. No staff to be found. When we finally rousted someone he said the server was on break, elsewhere, and the owner wasn't there. No food, no explanation, no apology. The restaurant had my email and mobile number, yet no notification that they had no intention of honoring my reservation.
Why would OpenTable do business with this restaurant? Whatever fee you collect couldn't possibly offset the animus they have caused toward your service.
This isn't an one-off. I found at least one recent Yelp review (too late) that related an almost identical experience.
What, exactly, is the value of a reservation made through OpenTable?

We went during restaurant week. The food is generally very good. A long time issue is the attitude of the wait staff. There is an arrogance reminiscent of 1970's dining in Paris. I don't understand how it happens as the owner, Patrick, is very gracious. If the food was not good, I'd go less often as the staff attitude detracts from the experience .
