FLORA’s contemporary approach reimagines what Mexican food can be – offering familiar flavors and iconic dishes, newly interpreted. FLORA strips away the formality of dining with a focus on clean, organic, high-quality food made with love, made by hand. The stunning brass and marble bar, teeming with tequila and mezcal, sets the tone for a lively social scene and the unparalleled outdoor terrace is the quintessential Houston outdoor dining experience. For parties of 7+ guests, please submit a private dining request. Out of respect for our chandeliers, we do not allow balloons.     Flora’s Summer Tasting Menu Available for a limited time Celebrate the flavors of the season with Flora’s three-course Summer Tasting Menu—a vibrant, ingredient-driven experience inspired by the regional cuisines of Mexico. Start with our Watermelon Salad, where chilled, juicy melon meets vibrant greens and a herbed goat cheese spread, creating a refreshing and flavorful first course that opens your appetite and captures the essence of summer. For your main, choose between two dishes: Cornish Hen al Pibil, marinated in citrus and achiote, slow-roasted until tender, and served with refried black beans and plantain molotes—a warm, comforting combination rooted in tradition. Or the Sea Bass in mole amarillo, featuring a seared filet in a golden Oaxacan mole, layered with spice, brightness, and subtle complexity. Finish with a bold, cooling finale: Mangonada Sorbet swirled with pineapple and jicama pico de gallo, served with a side of chamoy for that signature tangy-sweet heat—playful, refreshing, and deeply satisfying. This seasonal menu is crafted for those who crave bold flavor, thoughtful technique, and a little summer magic in every bite.

    Join us at FLORA for a festive, four-day Cinco de Mayo celebration along the bayou. From May 2 through May 5, experience an unforgettable weekend of vibrant flavors, live music, and high-energy moments in one of Houston’s most beautiful indoor-outdoor spaces. The highlight of the weekend is Saturday, May 3, when FLORA transforms into the ultimate party destination. Our front patio will come alive with a live DJ, our signature taco cart, and satellite bars, giving guests the chance to mingle, sip, and soak in views of Buffalo Bayou. Inside, a full mariachi band sets the tone, while Don Julio promo girls offer complimentary tequila tastings for an immersive celebration that honors tradition and modern flair. Throughout the weekend, FLORA will feature two exclusive margaritas, in addition to our robust cocktail list. Expect bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and thoughtful cocktails that match the moment. Brunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM, accompanied by a live Spanish guitarist for a laid-back, soulful vibe perfect for daytime sipping and gathering with friends. Guests can also experience the launch of FLORA’s Summer Tasting Menu ($55), a three-course culinary journey inspired by summers in Mexico. Curated by our talented culinary team, this seasonal offering celebrates the vibrant, regional flavors of Mexican cuisine and will be available throughout the summer. On Monday, May 5, close out the weekend with all-day happy hour featuring $11 signature bites like sopecitos, crispy pescadillas, queso, and tacos al pastor, alongside $9 margaritas and wines, and $4 beers.     As usual, beautiful ambiance, lighting, atmosphere, and music. Valet was prompt. Service was impeccable and attentive and friendly without being pushy. Drinks were strong and tasty and pretty too! The food was great as always. Must try the grilled octopus. Phenomenal. The salad was good. The chocolate mousse was sooooo good. Many GF options as well. Cute lunch date in a glass treehouse in the middle of the city. Always a good vibe.

    The food was good no complaints, but I wouldn’t say it was out of this world. I would go back for sure but the price point for lunch for three of us at $238 with two appetizers and four nonalcoholic drinks and one dessert it’s pretty damn pricey. I just don’t see the value.

    The food was delicious. I am Mexican and I can tell that this is quality food. I highly recommend the enchiladas and the appetizers guacamole.

    My wife and I love Flora. We came here after we got married and came back for the second time for our first anniversary. Both times the service was incredible and made us feel so special. We’ve come here in the middle of the week both times and it’s been a quiet ambiance with beautiful scenery. Not sure how busy it gets Fri/Sat but highly recommend. Not an extensive menu but it is quality.

    Great food. Put us in the overflow room instead of main dining which wasn’t our preferred. But still nice meal. Great drinks !
