Enjoyed our eating experience at Fiume The only downside was the amount put on our bill for service charge Never minded giving a tip for good service but this was taking it too far. For a party of 8,£56 was way beyond,we’re not in the US. Would definitely refuse if we ever dine there again.

Anti pasti dishes were small considering the cost (fritto misto included 3 whitebait). The veal ragu which myself and one other in the group ordered was incredibly bland. I left half of mine and no one asked if there had been an issue or not. The secondi generally looked better than the primi dishes ordered. Desserts were fine. In short we were underwhelmed by the food. Service was great at the start then tailed off. Our original waitress was lovely.

Restaurant had nice interior and pleasant surroundings.Food actually quite poor..small quantity..very dry chicken..ordered a side of rosemary potatoes and what turned up was a bowl of very dry chips..very unappetising. Vastly overpriced and quality of food quite poor..would not return

I found my fish dish a little bit oily and mentioned that to the staff for future reference, and they kindly offered us a free tiramisu! So kind, and really did not expect it.

The food was decent. The service was a bit overwhelming - the waiter gave us very little time to look at the menu but at least he was attentive! The balsamic vinegar we asked for with the bread was truly vinegar despite being from Modena - not aged enough and I couldn’t dip my bread in it due to its sharpness. Dessert was good and the cocktail/wine ok/fine. Nothing too finessed but fine. Nice location.

Best thing is eating out on the terrace on a nice day. Food was decent, but not brilliant. Service was a little slow but they were quick to make up for this by giving us free drinks. For the price you pay I expect a little more, but maybe it was just an off day!

We've been to Fiume three times since D&D took over management from Francesco Mazzei. It's still "fine" but no longer special. The menu has been cut, so the beloved zucchini fritti has gone, as have many of the exciting dishes we enjoyed. What's left is fairly standard Italian fare, competently executed but not thrilling. And the service is...haphazard, to be polite. The various Maitres d' that we've seen at the door look like rabbits in the headlights, struggling with the booking system rather than welcoming guests. Some of the waiting staff are excellent, but as a team they rarely seem to master the basics - such as getting food and wine to the table at roughly the same time. Such a shame; this was once a really great place, with exciting food and friendly, super-competent Italian staff. We will probably continue to return, as the location is great and the alternatives are other chains (Barrafina, Wright Bros, etc) that could be anywhere in London (or Dubai, or Singapore, etc etc). But I guess this reflects (i) difficulty in getting competent staff post Brexit an (ii) the clientele. This is the "local Italian" for the wealthy from around the world who have bought multimillion pads in the Power station development to spend a few weeks in London (if that). They want safe, predictable, and they get it. But if you want character, finesse, excitement, you can do much better in London.

It was an early supper with my friend and collaborator from the US. She has a medical requirement for her diet and the waiter was extremely accommodating and kind. He was also very friendly and fun. The food is always great but these lovely services and personal touches would make it even special. Thank you! It was a hot and sunny day and we enjoyed sitting outside as well.

The restaurant wasn’t busy and yet the service was appalling. We waited 40 mins to make our order. The bread and olive oil came after the starter and the main courses were expensive and not very good. Very disappointing- won’t go there again.

We dined here 23rd Aug. Managed to get a table on the terrace which is stunning. Waiting staff were lovely and very friendly. Wine was good value. Only criticism is that the starters are very expensive and very small portions. Will definitely dine here again but will skip the starters.

Service wasn't great - had to ask 3 times to eight the bill, couldn't get the server's attention to order, they forgot to tell us what the specials were, etc., but a nice ambiance nad the food was pretty good, not great.

We booked for 6 adults and a child, brilliant table with plenty of space. Lovely friendly server. Food was great but not outstanding. Only complaint was that the restaurant was too hot and the toilets. You need AC for more areas than the kitchen! The vittelo tonato needs perfecting.. tuna sauce too watery/runny and the veal was tough to eat. All pasta courses were lovely.

Food was very good. Service could be improved - we didn’t receive all of our order, had to remind the waiter. To their credit they gave us a free bruschetta. Similarly, we ordered 2 coffees, only one was delivered, had to wait 10 minutes for the other one. We were seated outside, which was very pleasant, but our table for 6 was very cramped - we had to push the tables to one side and then move them back again just to get everyone seated.

Firstly the service was excellent. The staff were attentive and professional. The pasta was good but the dish I had was extremely salty which was a shame. But the rest of our party enjoyed the food immensely. On the other hand the rosemary roast potatoes were hard, dry and tasteless. I would go as far to say they were inedible. We left most of them and I wouldn’t recommend them. Perhaps we just caught them on a bad day. The cocktails were excellent though.
