We were very excited when we arrived as this has been a great restaurant for our family for many years. When we arrived, we were greeted by 2 energetic hostesses. As we began to walk up the stairs to our table, a server ran down the stairs and scolded the hostesses for seating us as the kitchen was closing. They told him they were going to seat us as the kitchen was still open. We sat down at our table and within minutes, this same server ran to our table and told us to “Hurry Up and Order. The kitchen was closing.”This was an aggressive and rude first encounter. Obviously, we were startled. We quickly reviewed the menu options as he returned. He began to say “Don’t worry, they do what I tell them to do. They listen to me.” The food came out quickly, but with no silverware or napkins, it was impossible to eat the shrimp platter, salad, and other items. We ask for the items that we needed , and he disappeared for an extended period of time to the point I retrieved the silverware. When he returned, he didn’t even bring the silverware. We were there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and her sisters were running late. Concerned for how they would be treated upon our arrival, my wife went to the hostess stand to alert them of their delayed arrival. I also wanted to let the waiter know so he would not react oddly when they arrived. As I was telling him about the additional people and assuring him that it would not be any extra work for him or the cook, he began another soliloquy about how he ran things and would take care of it. Once he realized it was my daughters birthday, he told her he would get her ice cream and that he personally paid for it. Funny how his tone began to change as it was time for the check. Weird overall experience. This is not what we expect from a Landry’s restaurant and I don’t think this is what Tillman intends.

The grilled seafood platter was excellent and the Sunset Punch was so good. Daniel was an excellent waiter.

We never received part of our order, so they did graciously take it off the check. However, our server did not even realize it until we asked to have it removed from the bill. Food was overcooked. Not worth what we paid.

Will not return. Our order was wrong to start with. It took 20 minutes to correct it which was only a salad. Asked for condiments when we ordered and asked 3 more times throughout the meal and actually got it when they brought are ticket. Spoke to the manager who pretty much defended the server. I’ve never written a bad review on this app but felt it might save a future customer a disappointing experience. We’re Landry’s select customers and this was the worst experience ever at a Landry’s establishment. They gave us some sort of discount I guess. Our check did say LCS discount $22 so maybe that was due to their inadequacies?? No one told us or explained it to us.

The spinach artichoke dip is very good and the Nashville sandwich, mahi mahi and po boy were not that great. Patio is a very nice vibe.

We have always had a great experience at Fish Tales. Food is always great. But today was a first with very poor service. Daniel was the server. An hour and our appetizer was never brought out. Maybe he was new, not sure but he did seem pretty out of it.

Fantastic food and good personalities. It did take a while to get service in-between meals but the taste of the food way over compensated for the wait!

Peel shrimp was bland no seasoning and no flavor No variety of cheese for salad No validation for parking if only eating Tipping was lower because of the restaurant and facilities
