Firebirds Wood Fired Grill - Morrisville
Noise level was a little loud
Are you a nice sports bar or a nice dining restaurant??
You can’t be both
Horrible experience.Waited for everything. We had a party of 9. Only half the table got their drinks and had to wait for ever to get the rest. Had to ask for bread and the waiter said “oh yah”. Waited over 30 mins to get our food. Then they only brought 2 meals and the rest took forever to come over. They randomly brought us 1 meal at a time and then 1 meal broccoli was ice cold. Another meal didn’t get 1 of their sides. The meatloaf was so salty that we could barely eat it and I couldn’t eat my Caesar salad cause it was too spicy. Then we had to ask for the bills and it took forever to get them and then it took him forever to come back to get them to run the cards.
Excellent food and service!
A very nice place to dine, be it for a special occasion or a business cathering. A bit nosiy for us older folks with hearing issues, but for those who don't have such problems, I'm sure you'd enjoy this restaurant.
Everyone has an off night. Not the normal experience but not terrible just a few opportunities.
Love that the manager always stops by our table to check on things. He explained that on-line ordering can sometimes cause a backup in the kitchen. Good thing we are never in a hurry to enjoy our delicious meal.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Restaurant was very clean, food was good, and the sever was exceptional
Best service. Best drinks. Best food. Will recommend to everyone
Reservation was worthless; had to wait 30 minutes past reservation. When inquiring about wait, told that they took reservations over the phone and on open table and the systems weren’t synced and therefore overbooked. Really??? Had to wait 15 min for drinks only to find out that 2 of the beers ordered were both not available. One of the salads came with the wrong dressing. The 2,different steaks ordered were given to wrong people. The dry rub on the steaks tasted like it was missing. The salmon cane with an incorrect side.
Even though we made a reservation, the restaurant was completely overbooked. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table, and experienced very delayed service.
Excellent food and service. My wife's prime rib was too rare for her when it first came out, but the waiter took it back, and it came back just right. My ribeye and shrimp were perfect. A little pricey when you add in drinks and an appetizer, but we'll worth it for a special occasion
The meal was exceptional! From the appetizer and meal to the nice glass of wine. Perfect!
Always love going, the food is excellent but the set up for Valentine’s Day made it feel like it wasn’t the nice steakhouse that it is with cheap balloons everywhere.
The service was excellent and food was extremely yummy. Only concern is, every time I request something special on open table it doesn’t happen.
So why offer it to customers when you don’t follow through with it.
Great food and service
We went to Firebirds for Valentine's Day and although it was busy, we were able to get right in with our reservation. Our waiter, Jeremy, was fantastic and even helped us make some drink decisions. Our food came out fast and fresh for how busy it was. It will be difficult for us to choose anywhere else for an event! We had the onion rings, prime rib and ribeye and it was all delicious and cooked perfectly.
Valentines Day dinner
We were seated immediately upon arrival. Service proceeded nicely. Drinks, Salad, Entrees and Desert were all delicious and wonderfully presented.
The food was good after they brought me my steak that they remade the first time it was dry and overcooked. . The waiter wasn't the greatest.
Excellent food as usual. Never disappointed at Firebirds!
I've never had a bad meal or bad service in many visits. They do get busy at times so a reservation can save you a wait. Reasonably priced for what you get.
We are early so it was quiet. Even at the bar. And the fireplace was so comfortable.
They made the experience fun and memorable for our anniversary
We really like Firebirds and this would have been a 5 star review except for a couple of problems.
1) our order ticket was lost so our food didn’t come out for nearly 30 minutes. Although the floor manager came by to tell what happened and apologize, they didn’t offer anything to compensate.
2) we never got bread although all the other tables around us had some. This wouldn’t have been so bad if our ticket hadn’t been lost (see above) or if they had offered to bring us some while we waited and waited for our order.
As I write this, I’m remembering that this has happened before. We were with a large group and one of our friend’s order ticket was lost. Firebirds needs to evaluate their system for getting orders from waitstaff to the kitchen and get it fixed.
Outstanding meals, as usual! All of the salads (and I’ve tried them all), are scrumptious! My favorite is the shrimp and strawberry salad! Well mixed, chilled fork and fresh, delicious ingredients. The steaks are cooked to order, and are magnificent! We come to Firebirds often because we know our meals will consistently be wonderful. It’s my favorite restaurant in the Raleigh-Cary area. Great for an every day meal or for a special occasion dinner!❤️
Excellent prime rib dinner for restaurant week. Loved the creme brulee cheesecake for dessert. Wine pairing for the prime rib was on point. It was very busy and noisy on a Saturday at 7:30. I have visited on a weekday night and the ambiance is better. Server was great and all of the staff helpful and patient despite the crowd.
Family had a good time! The food was excellent. Whenever we have guests from out of state we bring them to Firebirds. Looking forward to our next visit!!
Great place for a nice relaxing meal.
Location is good, service is great, food is good.
Fireplace is a nice touch.
Sara was our bartender and she was great!! Food was yummy. It was too hot though.
Firebirds is always delicious and service is great. Awesome place for a business lunch or family dinner!
I always receive great service at Firebirds. Eat in or take out food is always prepared the same. Wait staff is knowledgeable of menu items and always helpful when taking orders. Love Firebirds and will continue having special events there. Thanks for making my birthday special AGAIN. 🥰🥰
My wife and I love Firebirds; the food is always delicious! We like the cocktails too, but just a little high for us to do every time.
I expected it to be busy on New Year’s Eve. However it took over an hour for our food to arrive. The steak I received was cooked more medium rare instead of medium and was just warm and not hot. We were rushed to eat our food because we had prior engagements within the hour that our food arrived late. Needless to say this may our last time eating here.
Just a very lovely dinner with family on New Year’s Eve. Food and Service were both. great.
Delicious food, excellent service.
First time we have been to this location. We made the reservation for 6 of us. My wife and I’ s order got messed up and food deliverer seemed annoyed. Both of the steaks were burnt on top and baked potato had cheese and bacon on it which we did not order. We then had to wait another 20 minutes for our food to be brought out. The other 4 people finished eating by the time our food arrived.
Expected manager to offer some discount or free dessert due to their error.
New Year’s Eve can be a difficult evening to dine out. Crowds and noise levels can be excessive and food you order may not be the usual quality. This is never the case at Firebirds!
Whether we dine there on a weekday, weekend, holiday or special occasion, we are never disappointed or dissatisfied. This restaurant is always consistent and the wait staff is excellent.
We will always choose Firebirds as our go-to place. We always have an excellent meal and experience. Not too many restaurants can achieve this level of excellence each and every time. Love it there!
New Years Eve dinner with hubby and sister! We love the atmosphere at Fire Birds and the food and staff are always amazing!!
We were a few minutes early for our reservation for 2 and were told there were no booths available.
For some reason he changed his mind and sent us to a booth for 2 where there were at least 5 other 2 top booths open. No big deal because the rest of the dinner was awesome.
We had a very good server (our daughter is a manager in a very chi chi restaurant that demands perfection and she would love to have this server on her team).
Our server was just great from start to finish. She earned a generous tip.
The food was even better than we expected having been at Firebirds in Raleigh several times this was our first time at the one in Morrisville.
Sesame crusted tuna was the best I ever had. The fried spinach was a little greasy, could have been a little crispier but still tasty. My husband loved his prime rib (med. rare)
I was especially impressed by the Firebirds brand Chardonnay. I like oaky and this did not disappoint, excellent.
We'll be back!
