Steaks were grilled to perfection. Very juicy and delicious.
I had the ceaser salad with steak and it was great! It was my first time adding steak to my salad and I'm glad I did. Our server was pleasant and made sure we had what we needed.
We were spotted by fireplace and it was cold in building. Asked about fireplace being turned on was told it was broken. Had to wait for ever for our drinks, waiter was not good at remembering what we asked for. We asked for salt and pepper, he brought 2 peppers. Our filet was rare not medium well and no flavor.
We ate at the one in Collierville, TN weekly and never had a bad meal.
This was an amazing place for a first date. The atmosphere was so appropriate for the occasion.
The food was ok compared to the prices. Would not recommend as there are other places that are better for the price.
It was good food but I tried to order off the kids meal. I’m 17 and if you aren’t gonna have the thing I want on the main menu then I should be fine get it from the kids menu. The service was kinda slow. The lady forgot our drink order and very few refills were giving.
great overall place to dine
Waitress got my order wrong. Got a sirloin instead of prime rib. Fixed immediately. Table near kitchen. Very noisy. Could hear the line manager hollering out. Dishes clanging. Waitress didn’t do our bill correctly and then acted like she wasn’t sure how to fix it. Food was ok. Very under seasoned.
Though not frequently, have eaten at the Firebirds in Durham several times and have always enjoyed the food. Selected Firebirds over several other places to have an early New Year's Eve dinner with another couple we see frequently and we were all somewhat disappointed. First off in the pandemic era, we were surprised every table in the dining area was accommodating patrons -- no every other table spacing. The bar drinks were well made and the lobster queso was delicious. Unfortunately, two of the main entrees were badly undercooked and the rib eye I ordered was not a good cut with too much gristle. The vegetable medley was bland and apparently totally unseasoned. We were less than enthralled with our last dinner of 2020, but hopefully this was an anomaly and the next time we dine at Firebirds it will be as we remember.
Not only was the food great, but our waiter was fantastic! He was on top of everything. That made the experience even better.
Great place to celebrate a graduation. Excellent food and service!
The food was very good, and the service was outstanding. The chef personally responded to an allergy issue, and everyone came out happy.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner Christmas Eve! Food & service were excellent.
Food was delicious! Service was excellent
Food and service was great ,,,,,,messed up our reservation and it was our anniversary
Loved it, great experience. Will be back.
Halldor did a great job
Restaurant overall wasn’t clean, booth had food on seat, bathrooms and floors were not clean, food was ok at best, server did not appear to enjoy her job...
We always loved Firebirds and hope this is restaurant specific and not corporate wide. I’ll never go back to the Southpoint location!
We had a 6:15 reservation and called to indicate that some people in our party would be about 5 minutes late due to traffic. We were seated quickly and our server continued to give us bread when we asked for it, but it was strange to have only one bread for 6 people to share each time.
We had arrived during the second night of a mandatory curfew, so we had made our reservation thinking that we would be out by 8:00. We were cutting it close when our food was still not at the table until 7:40.
This was supposed to be a birthday celebration, but the delays with the kitchen, the lack of available bread to accommodate large parties, and the overall “rushed” feeling of everything brought down the mood a bit.
While we can definitely adjust and have empathy for what the restaurant was going through with even more demands of social distancing and curfew guidelines, it was unnerving to find that after the delay of our food, the birthday celebrant found hair attached to the parsley that was adjacent to her mashed potatoes for her Cilantro Chicken dish. It took a long time for anyone to walk by our table to say anything, so we started eating and being on the lookout.
Our server, who was clearly manning other sections as well, was wonderful and told us he would bring a manager to us. The manager offered to remake the meal, at which point we stated for him to make it “To Go” due to the curfew approaching (we live 1 hour away).
What was hilarious was to be offered the birthday celebration of ice cream and singing and even dessert options after all this happened. If your food is delayed and lackluster with a side of hair to accompany our birthday outing, what makes you think we would want anything further? In the end, we pod the bill in full with no discount for our trouble to be had and not even an offer of “To Go” drinks or complimentary bread, two items that were delayed, but clearly done well during this visit.
We are honestly not sure if we will return.
Great food and service. Would definitely go back again.
Food was great. Only issue was this by far is the loudest one we have been to. Do not go if you want a nice romantic dinner.
Our server was very attentive and helpful. I wish I remembered his name.
Nice place, good food. Waiting time for the food to come out was very long, though- over an hour. Probably, because the place was busy. Otherwise, service was fine.
Great food and service once again. Thank you. One of my all-time favorite restaurants. Never had a bad meal and have never been disappointed.
Wonderful dining experience. A little pricey but it was a special occasion. Environment was pleasantly quieter than usual; pandemic maybe?
Great hospitality! The waiters and waitresses were too kind and sweet to my son !
The place was dead like 15 people maybe, great food great times
We visit this Firebird's frequently and normally it is very good. Our server seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with tables and not able to provide he service he normally has provided us in the past. The food took a bit of time to receive and we ordered a ribeye but it was truly a sirloin. It was tough but we didn't want to send back and wait for another as it was already 9:10 when we got our food. We will be back but maybe give it time until after the holidays. Thanks
Considering the COVID-19 restrictions, Firebirds did an excellent job of making me feel safe. The service was excellent and the food was great! It was the perfect setting for a dining experience.
Just went here to catch up with a friend. Amazing food and customer service as always. My go-to restaurant!
Took my two older children out to a nice dinner since both of their birthdays took place several weeks ago. The service and the food was excellent. My son and I both had a filet and my daughter had the salmon. Firebirds has become my “go to” place for a great filet. I have already spoken to two different people who are now also looking forward to having dinner there. Can’t wait to go back!
Service good. Unfortunately their menu has been shortened. Selection not like it used to be. Like a lot of other places it was pricey.
Love their green salad with nuts, tomatoes, tuna, and cilantro dressing. My husband had the Philly steak egg rolls with ranch dressing and the Thai sauce that it comes with it. The meat is always tender and delicious. My son had the super greens tuna salad, which he liked a lot.
All of the Covid protection was in place and it feels safe.
Always great food and service at Firebirds! One of my favorite restaurants!
We arrived early before our seating time to ask for an outside table. The manager worked hard to secure us a safe space. We were disappointed in that there was no outside heaters in a cool outdoor environment.
Wonderful experience for Veterans Day! Great food, clean environment, friendly and accommodating staff!
Service excellent. Never disappointed in our meal
My evening at Firebirds was amazing. I visited there for the Veterans Day special and I will certainly be back. Amazing dinner and outstanding service.
Great food! Burgers are absolutely phenomenal.
Veterans Day with our oh so sweet Great granddaughter
Too much gristle in the beef!!!!!!
