Lovely ambiance. Large cocktails. Food was pretty good, but not great. Service was average. Prices were high. Not a repeat for us.
Cockroaches on the wall, terrible service, and warm bottles of wine. Insane how quickly this place went from one of my favorite to will never go again. Couldn’t even make it past apps with the cockroaches on the wall wild stuff
We were well looked after by Tony during our recent visit. My wife and I checked out the menu before we booked the reservation. There were a couple of selections that we thought would be good. The food ended up being just ok. It was cooked to order but it lacked seasoning. The fried burrata was great!
This is one of those locations in Houston that one hopes succeeds. I know there have been a few restaurants located in this space over the years and we have been to all of them. The place has a good vibe, just like our visits when other restaurants occupied the space. My best wishes for a successful venture.
They should improve the atmosphere upstairs. It is awful eating there. They should not open the second floor if it is not prepared.
Great concept, nice location, very inviting environment -- but very poorly executed. Our server seemed inexperienced, but was getting no coaching. She was inattentive and two out of two entrees were delivered not as ordered (both were sent back and corrected, with a very long wait). Was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately we will not be back.
The food was really great and authentically Italian with a wine list was exclusively Italian. Unfortunately the service was amateur and frustrating. Not that they didn't try; they just need more training. And we were given discounts on a couple items that got mixed up. The noise level was aggravating due to music choices that were not conducive to relaxed dining, but that's just my opinion. However, the kitchen is downstairs and the noise from the servers running up the stairs with dishes was really distracting. Maybe some carpeting or a dumbwaiter would help with that? I will definitely return; given time I think these issues will be resolved.
We had the octopus/potato/pesto appetizer which was very good, and excellent carbonara and an eggplant parmigiana that was silky and divine without an oil-soaked breadcrumb in sight. We ordered the veal saltimbocca which appeared immediately after our apps and we asked them to hold it - twice. So by the time we got to it, it was pretty dried out and chewy. I think they should have prepared a fresh one when we were ready for it.
In any event, we will be returning because we want to try more of the dishes. And we'll give them many breaks because it's been such a struggle this past year for independent restaurants.
Outstanding authentic Italian food.
Outdoor space is very beautiful.
Tables are well separated.
good food and dishes' presentation.
good pick for a nice dinner.
It was a good meal, will come back. Lobe the fact you can purchase flowers while dining.
Cold awful food.
Awesome food friendly staff amazing chef definitely will be back.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent environment!
Had the marinated artichoke heart appetizer and it was supreme. Followed with veal chop Milanese and was amazing, tender and juicy. A haute chicken fried steak. Roasted potato side was a bit underdone but properly salted. The tiramisu desert is by far best in town and not to be missed no matter how full you may be. The owner / chef and entire staff are friendly helpful and inviting. Everyone should try this place.
What a wonderful restaurant! My best friend and I celebrated a special day here. The food was great (though the carbonara was not my favorite, the drinks were great, and the service was the best. Very cute restaurant!
Best food and service! Atmosphere was fantastic. Tony the chef is world class.
Very nice meal. Felt safe in the environment. Good service, nicely updated surroundings. We had the mussels - delish and more than two people could comfortably eat! Pasta dishes were great especially liked they didn’t overcook the pasta. Dessert was light and tasty! Highly recommend.
Of the 5 of us one person ate their meal. The menu looked incredible and I used to go to this location when it was another name so I was excited to see a new restaurant. 5 of us came and one ate their food. The gnocchi was bizarre brownish and tasted like flour. It was inedible. Maybe we ordered wrong but we were sadly disappointed. The server did credit my meal the others , not ,even though they too did not eat their meals. The eggplant Parmesan was good according to other other guest. He asked for protein and they brought out dried barbecue chicken. Rather bizarre experience. I wish them the best . Four of five meals not eaten . The artichoke appetizer was very good. Fine selection of artisanal breads.
Everything was absolutely fantastic ! The ambience, the food, the incredible service , the spacing of tables. We will be regulars !!!
Real Italian flavors and authentic recipes!
Wine was rancid; gnocchi was soggy
We really wanted to like this place, but it just fell short of expectations on pretty much all fronts. The restaurant was probably less than half full, but the service was painfully slow. One of our hot dishes arrived cold in the center. They were nice about it and brought another, but sadly it was cold in the middle again. Our main dishes were just average in terms of flavor. It's a cute space, so hopefully they can get things on the right track.
Outstanding service and very nice ambience. I definitely will come back
This location seems cursed somehow. None of the places that have opened after the demise of Brasserie Max and Julie have survived. So I was hoping that Fiori would be good. It was BAD. The tomato basil soup was the consistency of ketchup. The cannoli had a horrible filling that tasted like grainy ricotta with no sweetening. My entree was good, as was my dining companion’s. But the service was terrible and the overall experience was poor. Will not go back.
Good overall experience. Did BYOB. The live music was not great and a little loud.
As you will see from rating very disappointing ..
I booked via open table for 7.15 on Saturday night (after storm) when we arrived this place was shut!!!
Surely they should have advised open table about their decision to close as had other restaurants who chose to!!!
Not surprising this place had poor service rating !
No problems, but I feel like the food wasn't where it should be for the price. In presentation and taste, I think there's some room for improvement. My steak came out warm and bland, and my girlfriend's lasagna was good, but it was also warm and looked like it was tossed onto the plate. Otherwise, the place was gorgeous and the energy was great. On an unrelated note, it was February 13th and the couple at the table next to us brought their chairs together and were two steps away from having sex on the table.
We loved our dining experience at Fiori. All the dish, from appetizer to main to dessert were delicious, ambiance was great, and the service was great as well. Some of the dishes were served differently than we thought (based on the pictures we saw on google or yelp) but they were delicious nonetheless. Love that they have a flower shop downstairs. When the weather is warmer, we would love to try dining on the upstairs patio.
It was the worst food and experience. Went home hungry,
Fabulous fabulous fabulous restaurant. I absolutely love the atmosphere, food, decor, music, flowers and all the little touches that create a cosy atmosphere. Was able to meet the owner who is very charming and welcoming as was her son who waited on us. Will definitely be going back again and again.
Had a great time getting drinks and a cheese and meat board. Unfortunately my bike was ripped off of the back of my car in the parking lot, so it ruined the evening for me.
Consistency is the key. And Fiori delivers. Consistently. A welcome quiet place to dine eating wonderfully prepared food without a whole “scene.”
The lamb was cooked very well, however I would have liked some more seasoning on the meat, the meat was very flavorful however once fried it caused the flavor to be masked by the breading, would highly recommend garlic powder, onion powder, and salt mix sprinkle on the top right after it’s removed from the oil. That will bring the flavor to the expected level.
We did not enjoy our experience at all. The food is extremely overpriced for what you get. We enjoy Italian food, and I typically order eggplant Parmesan. Paying $22 for a couple pieces of braised eggplant covered in cheese was insane. Also, I asked to have it with light cheese and was told it was pre-made and couldn’t be customized. My husband also felt his gnocchi wasn’t worth the price at all. We have no issue paying for quality and service, but Fiori completely missed the mark. We will not be back.
Amazing! Perfect date night spot. Highly recommend!
Lovely space, nice ambiance and excellent food! Highly recommend
Few alternatives and many ingredients not available. Pasta and scallops no cooked properly. Carbonara didn’t taste good at all. My husband is Italian it was our second time and the experience was really bad. We also ordered Spritz a Venetian cocktail and they didn’t know how to prepare it . We had ordered it the first time we went and it was good. Very bad experience.
Great ambiance. Food and wine were great. Service was fair.
Food is always excellent. Service was a bit off with fairly long wait times and a misstep on one of our orders which they fixed quickly. Challenging times for restaurants right now. For some reason this winter they are keeping the restaurant uncomfortably cold.
