Welcome to the Fables and Company's Winemaker Works at Finch Wine Bar. This is a 1.5 hour tasting where you explore and learn about 3 single varietal wines, before becoming a mad wine scientist to experiment with blending to make your own wine blend to go. This class is intended for those curious about wine that want to be guided through the process and want to experiment A LOT! At Fables and Company, we believe wine is more than a beverage; it’s a bridge that connects people and cultures. For us, wine is an experience, a story in a glass, and above all, it’s fun. Wine isn’t reserved for the experts or those with refined palates—it’s for everyone, regardless of knowledge, preferences, or background. This ethos fuels everything we do. We understand that wine is deeply personal. That’s why we’re passionate about making the experience approachable and enjoyable for all. At the Winemaker Works, we go beyond the traditional tasting room. We offer you something truly special: the chance to become a winemaker for a day. Through our wine blending classes, you can craft your own unique bottle of wine, tailored precisely to your taste. It’s our way of empowering you to create a wine that’s not only enjoyable but a true reflection of your preferences. “Don’t Blame The Wine,” captures our philosophy. If a wine doesn’t suit your taste, it’s not the wine’s fault—it’s simply not your style. Each wine carries the story of its winemaker, inviting you to join them on their journey. But if you’re not loving a particular wine, we’re here to help you understand why. Our blending sessions give you the tools to explore and discover what you love most, transforming the experience into something personal and exciting. We have 2 winemaker works for you - our Wonderful Whites or Gorgeous Reds. Price includes wine for tasting/blending and one 375ml bottle of your own blend to go.

Had a bottle of wine and some food at Finch yesterday. It was all delicious, and the staff are amazing! Super friendly and perfect service.

Great wine bar, the host was lovely and very knowledgeable. Loved the Two Beacons Pinot Noir with the olives and Camembert in particular!

If the iconic 90’s doll Polly Pocket had a “wine world” it would be Finch, this pocket sized corner bar packs in a colossal amount of charm, unique wines from around the world, and tasty snacks to pair. The cosy art deco inspired vibes and ol' blue eyes crooning in the background transported me to another time and place, while large windows surrounding half of the structure kept me firmly rooted in Brixton. Their list of sparkling wines by the glass is one of the best I’ve seen in a while, and the entire staff was quick to share favorites, tasters, and charm. A combination of opulence, cosiness, killer wine, and dynamic service can be hard to nail, but this little birdie has built the perfect nest.
