We took our mother to the Farmhouse for her 93rd birthday lunch. She loved it! The staff was so nice and attentive, the food excellent, and the atmosphere perfect. We couldn't have been happier with the experience.
Great all around
The mussels in white wine sauce were fantastic and our lunch entrees were equally as enjoyable, especially with a bottle of sauvignon blanc and great conversation. Great place for a ladies lunch as the ambiance is equally as enjoyable. Will return again.
We had a fabulous round table for our ladies’ lunch. Loved the cute host, Jayden, when we checked in. Super personable. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. Food was delish!!
A couple of us had the scallop and citrus salad special. We subbed salmon, and it was amazing! Love the ambiance. We’ll be back!
We love Mary!! Date night in an amazing atmosphere. ..we will try the bar next tine!
An absolutely outstanding experience....every dish had incredible flavors using fresh ingredients, and the service staff was friendly, attentive but not overbearing, yet thorough. We asked ourselves why we had waited so long to give this restaurant a try. Will be coming back on a regular basis from now on. Wonderful outside patio seating offers much privacy. We can't stop glowing about how wonderful our dining experience was. A must to visit and enjoy!
Beautiful ambience and delicious food. Everything is natural and healthy!
We had a girls get together lunch and this place was perfect for such an occasion. Wonderful seasonal food and specialty cocktails. One person had a brunch item off the menu- braised short ribs with eggs and a potatoe cake. The rest of us had different salads with either seared tuna, salón, or grilled steak. All were wonderful. My citrus salmon salad was so good that I would go back just for that. Several of us also tried a cocktail and they were also very good. The place is beautiful. It is at Roger’s gardens after all! So of course it would be. The place is basically outdoors although it is covered, and the atmosphere is really nice and relaxing. They have blankets if you feel a chill but we did not need them. There was a bridal shower nearby and it looked really nice so that is a good option for events like that as well. Our waitress was wonderful and really helpful with the menu. Other staff were also very good. The only reason I gave 4 stars for service was that it took a while for the food to come out. But we really did not care too much because we were enjoying everything else. After lunch we strolled through the gardens and store. Was a great lunch.
My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner. Took a long time to get our drinks, and one of the drinks was made incorrectly, the other drink was very water down with ice. Tables around us all got bread, but we were not offered any. Our salad came and was mediocre at best. Both entrées later came and both badly lacked flavor. Very unimpressed by everything I tasted. Incredibly overpriced for what we got. Will not be going back anytime soon.
Our initial visit, and it was excellent. Atmosphere, service, and food are equally enjoyable. Added The Farmhouse to our list of “Where should we go”? Noise level higher under the patio roof. If you’re looking for a lower noise level, request seating under the stars!
Amazing! We have been wanting to go for months and decided to make it a celebratory girls lunch. Our server, Tammy, was amazing! She was so kind and was able to provide so many delicious recommendations. She was very attentive and very accommodating. The atmosphere is just delightful and the food was delicious! Already making plans to back!
I took my mother-in-law for her first time and she really enjoyed it. Alan, the chef, was very nice and even walked us to our table. The food was delicious - I got the glazed salmon salad. It was fresh and healthy. Can't wait to go back!
We were celebrating my friend’s 30th birthday with an intimate dinner. Neither of us had been to or heard of the Farmhouse, and I discovered it through OpenTable.
The food was delicious. The Korean short ribs were flavorful and the perfect bite to start off the evening. The salad we ordered was crisp and each bite was refreshing (I cannot remember which salad we ordered but it had goat cheese).
We both ordered burgers, which were good. At this point, however, I think we had filled up on small plates and drinks. We decided to take our burgers to go and skip ahead to dessert. Best. Decision. Ever.
We ordered the Persimmon Cake and the Cheesecake. The Persimmon Cake was the star of the night (and it was served with Earl Gray ice cream!). Also, they brought out a little mason jar with Pot de Creme with a candle in honor of my friend’s birthday.
As great as the food was, the ambiance and service are what stand out in my mind the most. The Garden setting is impossible to beat. It would also work for a romantic evening.
We were helped throughout the evening by Mary. She did an amazing job steering us towards delicious selections throughout the night (she recommended the Persimmon Cake). She described each dish like a work of art. She went above and beyond to make my friend and I feel special. In addition to Mary’s outstanding care, there is a team of staff that makes sure your water cup is never empty for long. They have perfected the art of customer service and I applaud them.
The food is phenomenal. Cayton was an awesome server, and made sure our experience was fantastic. Attentive, and very knowledgeable about the food. Chef Alan came out to our table to say Hello and talk to us about the food, his respect and inspired creativity for his food is a breath of fresh air in Orange County. Exceptional. The ambiance is charming and enjoyable like the rest of Roger’s Gardens.
This restaurant is set in a beautiful garden center, so the view of plants and foliage is lovely. It's an outdoor setting under a canopy of umbrellas. Blankets are provided for chilly breezes. Food and service were excellent. 3 of us had 3 different choices, all of which were very good.
My daughter and I were there for my birthday. From the moment we arrived and met
Cedric (maybe not the correct name) we felt well taken care of. He was wonderful and our server was great also. She recommended some dishes and she was exactly right. The presentation and the food was delicious. I wish we lived closer so we could make The
Farmhouse a restaurant we could visit and enjoy more often.
We'll be back!!!!!!!!
Was a perfect spot for a friends birthday lunch. Great food, excellent service and beautiful surroundings Can’t wait to go back. Amazing burger and salads.
Amazing food! The pesto pizza was amazing and Brussels Sprouts were great. Try the speciality cocktails. Beautiful ambiance. Good for all occassiona
Service was great! My girl friends and I had an amazing time. I recommend choosing 4-5 plates from the share section to get a taste of what Farmhouse has to offer. This also leaves room for dessert. The girls and I got 4 different dessert plates and shared. You can't go wrong with the lemon cheesecake and chocolate cake!
The service was friendly, but extremely slow. We had to wait 15 minutes just to get water. The short rib wraps are delicious. The hamburger had fresh, delicious tomatoes on it. The vegetable plate also had farm-to-table appeal. The chicken was ordinary. The ambiance is beautiful. Too bad the poor service put a pall on the whole experience.
We were seated immediately and our waiter was at the table shortly after we sat down. He ask for drink orders and ask if we had any questions on the menus. His salad recommendations were outstanding. The food was very good and he brought out a birthday celebration desert after the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Third time I've been there in the past 6 months. That's how much I enjoy going to
The Farmhouse. Twice for lunch, once for dinner, each time delightful. If you want
to enjoy Rogers Garden, go in the daytime. Our reservation was for 1:15 PM, but they
got us in about 12:15, which was perfect.
Went To Farmhouse for my daughters birthday. I was asked in advance if it was a special occasion, or I might not have mentioned it. There were just the two of us. Great ambiance. Beautiful gardens surround the restaurant. They have no walls, basically a huge coved patio. It can get cool, since it is near the beach in Corona Del Mar. Heaters and provided blankets keep you warm and cozy. Wait staff was excellent. Food was a little disappointing. I Had the citrus glazed salmon salad. The dressing was delicious. I was expecting a seared glazed salmon, but I think it was poached. Very tender, but no sear. My daughter had the cobb salad with chicken. It was just average. They did surprise us with a custard dessert for my daughter. That was very nice.
The Farmhouse was very kind & greeted upon entering the restaurant, we had reservations at 11:45am. We were shown to the VERY FAR END & in the Corner. On Monday, April 16th the day was a cool & very windy day. The table had a large table warmer, but it was NOT enough. The wind blew through that corner table. My daughter used 3 blankets & I used the blanket on the back of the chair that the restaurant provided, while my friends had a heavy coats. We all had HOT TEA, in hopes to get warm. Upon leaving My daughter & I were chilled to the bone. We noticed there were ceiling heaters but those heaters never reached the corner table.
My recommendations would be NOT to use that table in the future.
I love Rogers Gardens & have wanted to enjoy eating at the Farmhouse, but I dont believe I will revisit this restaurant.
Our server was really sweet but overall really slow. She made up for it with a free drink and dessert for my brothers bday.
The location and ambiance is fantastic. The service is excellent and the staff makes every effort to make you feel special. Just a great place!
A magical place!
A treat for the eye and the palate.
It’s definitely an older crowd here. Food was average but overpriced. It’s in a very nice garden center, but it’s still a garden center. Good place to take your grandma for lunch.
Food was fresh and delicious. Server was very helpful and accommodating. They sat us early and at a lovely table. It was a little pricey but worth it for a special lunch.
Also, we left our water bottle under the table and they took the effort to locate us by phone. Extra effort on their part.
All aspects - food, service, ambiance, decor - combined to provide a delightful dining experience.
I think we were seated in an alcove that was meant to be romantic. However, the outdoor heaters weren’t on, the table candle was out, the fountain was very loud, and the views were very limited. So, we felt isolated and unable to experience the restaurant in full.
Our server seemed put out to be waiting on us, which added to the bad atmosphere. We were very excited to try the farm-to-fork food though, so we pressed on.
The first course of mussels was amazing! The second course of salads lacked seasoning in both. The main course was also surprising tasteless. My husband had the pork and couldn’t finish it. I had the cod, which was in a bland broth of veggies and noodles. It felt like no one had bothered to taste what was sent out.
To their credit, the pork was removed from our bill and we were served a delicious vanilla custard(?). I will return because I believe in second chances but this was a real disappointment.
The Farmhouse is just a lovely, delicious restaurant in a relaxing, peaceful setting! The food is prepared with great care and everything I ate was outstanding! I recommend this restaurant with 100% certainty!
Every dish we tried was amazing! Creative flavors and very fresh. Would highly recommend it for a great meal or special occasion.
Had a wonderful lunch! The roasted veggie salad was so good and I loved my amaro drink! Drinks are pricey but very good. Loved the persimmon cake also!
I took my best friend to Farmhouse for her 60th birthday and we had such a wonderful meal! She is a vegetarian and ordered the beet salad, which she absolutely loved. She also loves gardening, so being at Roger's gardens was a delight for her as well. Thanks for making it a memorable occasion!
Wonderful service and accommodation of my dog. We got an out of the way table on the patio and that's why it was quiet. The interior of the restaurant isn't so quiet. We had a most enjoyable time celebrating a birthday complete with a special dessert to share.
The food was excellent (swordfish and pork tenderloin). Swordfish was servers recommendation. Great choice. Comfy outside seating ( heaters and lap blankets if needed). Drinks were very good. The homemade ice cream and sherbet were fantastic. All for a great price. Thanks.
Great place! Really enjoying dining in an open atmosphere
The food, service was outstanding.!
