   We booked a table for 2 for our 10th wedding anniversary as we always treat ourselves and try new Michelin restaurants for our anniversary - this restaurant was specifically recommended by my patients. In the reservation, we made a note that we were celebrating a big anniversary and wanted to have the tasting menu. We were seated right away, and our servers were good (albeit slightly on the disingenuous side). The server checked to ensure we were indeed getting the tasting menu, as well as clarify any dietary restrictions. In terms of the food, the flavours were EXCELLENT - kudos to the chef and their excellence. However, the portions were quite small for a 7 course tasting menu and we left the restaurant hungry. For the price one would pay for that tasting menu, $140, I would have expected more as I compare Farmer's Apprentice to other Michelin Star, Michelin Green Star or Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants that we have visited around the world. As such, we had to order pizza on the way home. With 2 rounds cocktails/wine, the total bill came up to almost $400! To add insult to injury, considering we were celebrating a big anniversary, this was not taken into consideration at all. For example, at other Michelin restaurants that we visited for our anniversary, we would have been offered a complimentary welcome drink/sparkling wine, or a dessert with "Happy Anniversary" written on it - there would have been some gesture and acknowledgement. These gestures are much appreciated and don't go unnoticed; it is what makes a restaurant top notch - when they go the extra step in acknowledging their guests on special occasions. In fact, the server didn't even mention or congratulate our anniversary when greeting us. It is just unfortunate that this happened considering this restaurant was recommended by patients, and picked out from the list of other Michelin Recommended restaurants.

   Basra BBQ pop up was a 12/10. Best BBQ we’ve had in Canada, hands down. Perfect cook, flavor, portions, and hospitality.

   Absolutely the best food I have had in a relaxed casual environment that allows you to just be yourself and enjoy spending time with friends enjoying wonderful food.

   Honestly, one of the best meals we've ever had! A bit pricey, but you have to pay for top quality these days and this restaurant is top quality, using the best and freshest ingredients available. Can't wait to go back! Service was absolutely top notch.

   Outstanding meal. We did the tasting menu and we're blown away by the creative and ambitious combinations of flavours. While the space is a bit plain, the food more than makes up for it. The wine list is bold and daring - not the stuff you see elsewhere.

   Quaint little hidden gem. Always a fun and exciting food experience. One of my top new places to go for a food extravaganza. Wonderful service with fun and exciting staff and food.

    Super flavourful, creative sharing (or not!) dishes accompanied by a well balanced, interesting wine list - and cocktail menu. Attentive, friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. Will definitely return!
