Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength.
Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.
We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table.
Parties of six and larger, kindly contact the restaurant directly for reservations. These larger groups will be offered the shared feasting menu only and a deposit of £10 per head needs to be taken to confirm the booking, which will be deducted from your bill.

Fantastic first visit to Farang. After trying their pastes and sauces, I wanted to enjoy the full experience. A small.but varied menu and friendly staff who helped with the dilemma of how many plates for four people. Full depth of flavour in each dish and the roti is a must, to mop all all of the juices. Look forward to returning.

We tried the 6 course tasting menu and it was very tasty. They don’t hold back on the heat for some dishes and depth of flavours is really there. It’s a lot of food though, I advise you go for a long digestive walk after.

Exceptional food. Not loads of choice on the a la carte menu as we didn’t want the sharing menu but we had chicken and fish cakes small plates and it was delicious. Two large plates equally tasty. Definitely recommend to others and go again!
