Great place for a range of foods and quantity. Group next to us was extremely loud, making the experience more ear piercing than enjoyable. With that, felt like the service skipped over us a lot as well.
Many other restaurants were sold out at Vail for lunch, but Fall Line was available and there were only a couple of us eating. I’m not sure why it was empty because the restaurant is beautiful, and the food and service were terrific.
We asked the server when the bread will come out. He responded, “it’ll come out when it’s ready.” Who says that.

I arrived in time and they wouldn’t take my order so the kitchen closed and I ended up having nothing to eat.
Fall Line has great reviews and the menu looked interesting. The ambiance is good, and our waiter (Christian) was excellent. I was dying to try the tater tots and caviar which sadly was no longer on the menu. Christian suggested the crudo and caviar which was interesting at best. I would not recommend it. We did not eat it. I tried one bite and my husband tried one bite and that was it. Christian took it off our bill which was nice albeit unnecessary. We ordered it and did not care for it. Period. We also ordered the mussels which had a delightful flavor. Probably the best thing we ordered. And the kids wanted calamari which was so salty they refused to eat it. Our daughter ordered the gnocchi, it was fine. I ordered the beet salad with lobster which was also fine. My husband ordered the filet, fine, and our son ordered the Korean fried chicken and waffles. My husband is Korean and we obviously eat Korean food often. There was nothing Korean about the chicken. Korean inspired perhaps. It was also so salty that our son could not eat it. We ended up scraping the outside off so that he could eat the chicken breast. The waffle in my opinion was like dessert, super sweet. I suppose a good balance with the salty chicken but again, kids were not fans. Our son has a huge sweet tooth and thought the waffle was also too sweet. We ordered the Mac and cheese which was also fine and the fresh cut fries, severely over-salted. All in all, Fall Line fell short of our expectations in food quality and taste. Lastly, we overheard the host ask our server “why are they still here”, pointing at our table. It was then that my husband said “we will take our check” and we left with a sour, or should I say salty, taste in our mouths. Even without the crudo and caviar taken off the bill, for $400+, a little more was expected particularly after the positive reviews. I would definitely skip this one if you are debating. In our experience, Vail has far better restaurants than this one.
There are many great food options in Vail Village. Choose those instead. The place is nice but the food is average for the price you pay and service was less then average.

We had a wonderful meal. As foodies we are very critical of both presentation and flavor, and Fall Line exceeded our expectations. The beet salad is a must. Reserve ahead of time if you hope to dine at this exceptional restaurant as it fills up quickly for a reason.
Wonderful flavors in every dish we tried. Cocktails just different enough to be interesting but not too much. Korean chicken and waffles was a standout. We would definitely come back.

We had our late anniversary/valentines dinner at fall line. It was outstanding. The tuna and caviar were amazing. We shared a wedge and soup which were fantastic and I had 3 oz of Kobe and my husband had the filet. Best beef I’ve ever had... amazing.

Made a reservation for lunch. Restaurant is lovely and the menu was interesting but prices seemed very high. My husband and I each started with a soup (tomato for me, french onion for him), and both were very good. It took forever to get our mains and when they finally did arrive they were cold, especially my mussels (which would have been amazing at the right temperature). Cocktails and wines by the glass were all very good as well. Our server, while friendly, was very slow. For the prices I would have expected much better service. Not sure I would go back.
They really make those cocktails interesting and fun! Loved the experience with the “campfire” and the marshmallow in flames ❤️

Superb dining in Vail Village. The mussels in the lemon broth are a must! Not to mention the tuna tartar and Wagu beef. I will definitely make Fall Line a part of my dining experience every time I visit Vail.
I recieved a bunch of communications regarding my reservation. I would have preferred to be closer to the windows. The food was excellent!

This place is beautiful! Reservations are 100% necessary. This place is popular. My husband and I ordered 2 steaks and shared the mashed potatoes. This was my favorite meal out of our trip!

The menu has changed and the prices have gone way up. Food is still very good, maybe even better, but be prepared for sticker shock.
A few years ago I tried Fall Line and was very disappointed. This year an acquaintance suggested that we give it a second chance as it was now under new management with a new chef. Wow, what a difference, the food was outstanding. It was so good that I returned one week later and had the same wonderful experience. The Duck Fried Rice was my favorite.
