Fall Line Always nails it. Such a great restaurant.
This restaurant clearly has a new menu and chef. Completely different experience than this Summer and before that. Is pricey but worth the experience. Will be back.
Wonderful lunch in a comfortable and welcoming setting.
Apres was a great time to experience Fall Line. Their apres specific menu has delicious offerings. The tomato bisque came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The light and lemony hummus was beautifully plated with baby root veggies and served with toasted pita...so yummy! Bartender Collin was spot on with a “dry January” spicy concoction made to order. Overall ambience, food and service were excellent. Can’t wait to go back!!
Our server was not helpful at all. A bad attitude can ruin anything. Never coming back.
Just a great ambience, food, cool, safe, etc
Very rude servers and service
Service was excellent on a busy NYE with capacity restrictions etc. Our server was fun , efficient and pleasant. Food was good as well!
Great experience
Despite the efforts of our waiter, Alex, the dinner was fantastic. The salmon and pork chop were some of the best meals we have ever had. The kitchen staff clearly has experience, while the wait staff leaves much to be desired. Alex tried to put a zucchini in a gin and tonic, delivered all of our drinks after about 20 minutes, then told us we had ten minutes to drink them before the next table would be seated. At bottom, the only issue of the night was our waiter. If you come to Fall Line Kitchen, expect amazing quality limited by unfortunately poor service. Depending on the night and table it could be one of the best dining experiences of your life.
Great service, nice ambiance. Food really flavorless and overpriced.
Probably should have realized the quality when they were the only restaurant with availability short notice. Heres why I will not be back:
1. The bartender kept pulling down his mask to eat and drink behind the bar. Also, the bartender chatted with people in the dining room and his mask was completely off of his face. Maybe his long hair that was not pulled back prevented him from wearing a mask properly?
2. My husband ordered a cosmo. Ugh. It was not good. Way too much lime. The PH level was almost too acidic to even drink...but it had been a long day, so he polished it off.
3. My husband ordered the Tomato bisque. Ugh. It was not good. Way too much acid again. The soup needed some cream or broth to reduce the tomato acid—he barely touched it. Figured his body would be in acid overload from the drink and the soup.
3. My husband ordered the chicken. Ugh. It was not good. This one is on him though. The menu said mole at the end of the description—he just didn’t see it. It was powdery and way too much paprika in the mole. It was pretty gross—but it fairness, neither of us like mole. We should have read more closely.
4. Everything is way overpriced. I’ve had meals that were a thousand times better at half of the price. We’re not cheap people but this was asinine. Example: my risotto was $31. A tiny bowl of rice was $31?!?! I added two scallops for an additional $16. Not worth the money. Oh, maybe it was so expensive due to the massive amount of oil added to the rice bowl. My rice was swimming in lemon oil. Ugh.
5. Service was standard.
In sum, avoid this place if you’re looking for a good meal. Our choices are not usually bad—we’re decent foodies and I found this place to be more concerned with their profit than their product.
Myself and 3 others had a late lunch at Fall Line to celebrate my birthday. Overall, I was not totally impressed with the experience. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer and almost half of them were closed. We asked our waitress whether or not they were safe to eat, and she didn’t know. She pulled her coworker over who told us she heard they were unsafe, and then they both stared blankly at us. She said the chef would probably know, but she didn’t bother going to ask him. No offer to bring out extra mussels or knock money off the bill, which was disappointing. When they took them away they made a joke about taking away the inedible mussels. My boyfriend ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and our server forgot to ring them in. When she asked if we would like any sides with our main courses he politely asked if he could still get the Brussel sprouts, and she played it off like she hadn’t forgotten them. I’ve worked in the service industry before, and in both instances I would have offered to compensate my customer. She also took the plate of brussels away before my boyfriend had finished them which was disappointing. All in all I felt like the experience was lack luster especially given the prices. The prices are on par with the rest of the village, but the service really detracted from the experience. It felt like we were being rushed along. I probably wouldn’t go back, especially not for a special occasion.
We enjoyed a nice lunch there. The staff was friendly and the food was awesome Great place to relax in
Had reservations for 8. They had called the night before to let us know to be there by no later than 7:45 or we might lose our reservation. The restaurant made us wait more than half an hour. Good took forever. Would never go back there again.
Loved the atmosphere and waitress was precious....food was good but not outstanding and was way overpriced even for Vail.
Great food. Great drinks. Great service. We will come back next year
Love the saffron mussels and truffle fries
Service was outstanding thank you Zack
The smoked duck special was not edible.
The chocolate cake was dry.
The elk lion was good, but please hold the sugar.
Food was excellent! Felt safe during Covid.
Christmas Eve dinner with family. Great meal and atmosphere
Great service and a great time. Food was yum my
Came in for dinner, ignorant to the fact that dinner started at 5 so it was no biggie for my girlfriend and I to get an app and sit around for a bit. However I’ll be damned if it wasn’t 5:22 by the time we put our actual order in! Then was asked to please be out by 6:00 bc our reservation was originally set for 4, which I understood and respect. I didn’t like getting my food 10 mins till 6 and feeling rushed to eat and get out... everything was okay but we won’t be back
Overpriced. Modern in the wrong way. Bland kids food. Risotto was average. Elk was a decent cut of meat, ruined by a pound of brown sugar. No frills. Wants to be high end modern, but the quality isn’t there. Try Mountain Standard, Sweet Basil, Matsuhisa instead.
Loved it. Service was fantastic. The French onion soup was orgasmic. Expensive for what it was,l
Wonderful dinner. Thank you. Looking forward to dining here again.
MUST say - BEST restaurant i. Vail this season. TRULY THE BEST. Covid has hurt. Most have stepped up game, a few Not. But NEVER ate here before as menu was never really desired - enjoyed for drinks. But was referred and OMG - we are going TWICE. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST.
Given certain times, planning ahead can be a challenge. We had made a reservation, thinking we were going to ski Vail, but ended up not being able to get a ski reservation there, so skied Beaver Creek instead. When I called to cancel the reservation they were going to charge me $25/person to cancel (this was not clearly stated when making the reservation). The hostess was quite rude. I asked to move the reservation back so we could at least enjoy half a day skiing BC, and she told me "this is an exception, its usually no cancellation/no changes." That's GREAT customer service!!!! The food was overpriced and nothing special, given you're dining in the hear of Vail Village. Needless to say, we will be going just a few doors own to other restaurants with better customer service, better food, and a welcoming environment.
Worst and most overpriced meal I have ever had.
Got the Dover Sole for two and it wouldn't even feed one person. It was cold, flavorless, and quite ugly to eat with the poor presentation.
I cannot say enough amazing things about their food. Vail has been starving for a chef like this. Just when we thought we’d tasted our favorite item, another would arrive and blow it out of the water. Every aspect of these dishes are so perfectly curated to blow your taste buds out of the water. It’s our new favorite spot in town.
Everything was “ok”. Food was good, not great. Same with service. Actually I think our waitress had a buzz on. It was awkward. We had a good time but I won’t be going back.
The food here is good but has gotten so overpriced. Even for vail. A $29 burger? $16 side of brussel sprouts. It’s excessive.
The menu on open table is not updated whatsoever. My husband wanted the burger advertised, which was $19 plus sides. Pricey but expected. The burger actually available was $29. Plus 9$ for a very small side of fries, 5$ for bacon, and he asked for no lettuce/tomatoes and it came with both. Overall, the food was fine, we picked off the veggies, but definitely not as advertised. There was also a table next to us that was incredibly obnoxious, talking about sex, hemorrhoids, alcohol, etc and that damped the atmosphere. We did point out the inaccurate menu and our waiter said he would bring the manager, but that never happened. The waiter was nice enough but we pretty much only saw him for ordering and the check. We sat for a long time with empty wine/beer glasses. I guess since we complained about the menu he just presumed we wouldn’t order more. Overall there are so many other places nearby that are equivalently priced but have better service and food as advertised. Would not recommend, not worth it.
Best food we had in vail 👍👍👍👍
We were hoping to have a little more atmosphere(maybe near the window) for happy hour. We were in the back of the restaurant.
Great food and amazing cocktails.
Great place and better food!
Fantastic food. We got the lemongrass mussels and a couple different steaks along with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts with brownie sundae die dessert and it was excellent!
Delicious food.!!
