The atmosphere was really great. Got to listen to the live music next door. They were short a server so our service wasn’t great that night, but I’m hopeful it’s not that way all the time.
Excellent. Don’t miss it.
Great spot in Vail Village with many good selections on the menu. Great list of craft cocktails as well. nice ambiance and modern feel.
That's great feedback for us. We really appreciate it and hope to see you soon! - Ian
Fall Line Kitchen had the friendliest staff and the food was delicious! My husband ordered the grilled cheese and I got the Salmon. The perfect lunch during our visit in Vail! Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone!
Thank you, Nikki! Those 5 Star reviews are awesome. We hope to see you soon! - Ian
The food and beverages are outstanding! Such a great place!! Service is fabulous!!
We had a great experience and can't wait to return. The olives were served warm in a cast iron bowl; delicious. The cheese plate was the best I have tasted and included local honey. We also felt safe with wait staff wearing masks. We recommend 100%
Steak and Frites were very good, steak was so tender!! We sat on the balcony and listened to live music across the way at Pepi's. Server was nice and attentive. Prices were expensive, but in line with everywhere else around.
We sat out on the back patio and enjoyed a wonderful lunch or enjoyed the view. Food was fantastic service even better
Dinner at Fall Line was great... the new menu was superb and the bar service fantastic! We will be back, hopefully sooner than later!
Thanks, Stacy! We hope we get to see you sooner as well! - Ian
Great food! Bison burger was amazing and the lamb wrap delicious.
We're so glad you had a good time! Thanks, Karen!
Great food and service. Fantastic location in Vail Village. Reasonably priced for Vail!
Thanks so much! We hope you'll come back soon! - Ian
Great outdoor eating and people watching
Waiter was exceptional
I'm so glad you had a great time! Who was your server? I'll let them know that you gave a great review. - Ian
We went to dinner here last night as we had dined here a few years ago and thought the food was decent. Unfortunately last night the food was not up to par. Our apps (cheese board and marinated olives) were tasty but the main course (lobster roll & steak frites) was not good. The fries were way over salted, the steak was chewy and the lobster roll was mainly bread. It was not your traditional lobster roll with mayo but had a side of melted butter to dip it in. Had it not been for the patio seating & live music we got to hear next door it would have been even less enjoyable.
Thanks so much for your review. I'd love to discuss this with you further. Please feel free to contact me at ian(at)falllinevail(dotcom).
The caviar was amazing and we loved the pairing with tater tots.
I'm so glad you loved our caviar! We'll have plenty more for your next visit. - Ian
Food was delicious and quickly served; we sat outside at tables in front of Gorsuch for social distancing. Can't comment on the ambience inside the restaurant as a result. The chocolate earl grey pudding was lovely.
Thanks, Francine! I'm glad you had such a good experience. I'd love to know what we could do better to get that 5th star! -Ian
We opted to sit outside with umbrellas and it was beautiful. Great food. Pleasant servers. Felt safe during COVID.
What a nice review to read. Thanks so much! We really hope to see you soon! -Ian
Fall Line had it all! Lovely atmosphere, live music in the alley and a scrumptious menu!
Thanks, Mischa! It's so nice to hear about your experience. I hope we get to see you soon! - Ian
Unfortunately we thought the food fell flat. The restaurant is beautiful, the service great, but the food was a 5/10. Disappointing.
I'm so sorry to read this. I'd love to hear some specifics about your experience so we can continue to improve. Feel free to call me at 970.470.4803
We went to celebrate our 22 year wedding anniversary. We have 5 yr old twin boys and were put in the “kid corner” which we knew when the hostesses changed out “party of 4” to two parents and kids, so “seat them in the kids area.” Far back of the restaurant next to the bathrooms. We were all dressed very well and kids behaved so great that even the waitress commented on how well they did. Spending $350 on dinner and wine, but when you show up with kids, you’re presumed a certain way. The manager was great, and out waitress was so nice, the 5 yr old boys said how nice and pretty she was. Food was awesome, just wish we weren’t secluded to the back corner of the restaurant just because we had kids, even though they have a specific kids menu.
Hi Gary, I'm apologize about your table location during you visit. Seating is so difficult during these times of distancing. I'd love to buy you guys a glass of wine the next time you're in town. Please feel free to get in touch. ian(at)falllinevail(dotcom)
Dinner was very good. Food and service were both strong.
Thank you very much! What could we have done to get that last star? - Ian
The staff is very busy and the menu is constrained to fewer items. Simple things like edamame were bad. On the bright side, Perfect location and we had fun. Not four star dining right now. But location and attitude trump for us.
The food was delicious. Our server kept us informed. However the food was very slow to come out and one dinner was wrong. They did everything to make up for it including comping our meals. I would go back for the food and hopefully kitchen will have a better night.
Hi Joyig - I'm glad to hear that your server went above and beyond. I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the kitchen. Please know that I read every one of our reviews and strive for improvement. If you're open to it, I'd love to speak with you further. ian(at)falllinevail(dotcom) - Ian
Vacationing here. Wonderful meal!
We're so happy that you had a great experience! Thanks for the 5 stars! Hopefully, you'll be vacationing here again. -Ian
Food was great, service perfect. We sat out on the patio, which was lovely.
Thanks so much for the review! I hope we get to see you soon, Anonymous Stranger! - Ian
Fresh local food!
Thanks Aly! We love to support our local purveyors wherever possible. Hope to see you soon. -Ian
Wonderful dinner with friends! Food was great!
Thanks, Judi! We hope you and your friends can come back soon! - Ian
We had the hummus, which was made in-house, including the pita, as a starter. I also had a lamb dish served in pita for the main course. Delicious. The burger was the best we had all week. Second time here. Always a good choice.
That is great to hear. Thanks so much and I hope we get to see you soon! -Ian
It was okay, nothing amazing. The staff have uniform masks and literally none of them fit the staff.....that was very discomforting. I felt like I had to wear my mask every time he came by to check on us or take our order. The food was okay, I wouldn't rush back
Server was sweet but slow as can be. Food tasted like it should be $12 not $30
Great restaurant love it for lunch
The reviews are true - service is awful. Our apps arrived before drinks. Our server (Alex) was never present. Thank goodness the busser/runner (Juan) was there or we would never have received anything. He was terrific. The dining room was very warm but is nicely decorated. When we sat down and saw salt & pepper shakers on the table it should have been a warning. A true chef won’t need salt & pepper on the table because the food is properly seasoned and prepared. The food was not good. The poke was well prepared but lacked acid. The tots & caviar was clever but only tasted of insipid truffle oil. The charcuterie was outstanding but I’m certain it is purchased. Alex has no idea what 3 meats were featured on the plate, and instead of asking the chef he guessed wrong. All entrees were flavorless, as if the chef couldn’t find the salt cellar. (At least it was on the table.) Alex never returned to the table to see how things were. The lamb was raw, the steak was overcooked, and the trout was not seasoned. The set on the trout plate was terrific, but those flavors couldn’t help the unseasoned trout. It was very disappointing.
Drink orders never made it to the bar. Food was slow getting out of the kitchen. Food was good once it came. Sever said the restaurant was short staffed but was only about half full.
We arrived on time for our 615 reservation. Order was taken promptly. Entrees arrived 55 min later ribeye was carpaccio rather than the medium rare requested. My sons lamb chop was cold. Our request to
Speak to management was ignored. A lovely venue but disappointing
Excellent all-around food and drinks. Both the lamb and the ahi tuna were excellent.
Our server was not friendly, and there is a limited menu with small portions and high prices. They also were unwilling to make any adjustments to our food order. We asked to switch one of the sides for another side they offer and they said no. Not at all accommodating.
Sorry to say this-but I will not return. The service and food were horrible. Let's start with the food;
1. My husband ordered the coquettes-I tasted one and my bite was cold, not lukewarm, it was cold-like out of the freezer cold.
2. I'm a vegetarian and I asked if I could get the mashed potatoes with truffle butter and broccolini. The Chef said "yes" and placed a big block of tofu on top. Which was kind, however, with tofu you can't just sear the outsides of a big block, you need to slice it so it heats through or even better, sear all the slices. Again, my food was not warm to the point the butter wouldn't even melt. I had to smash it into the tofu and mashed potatoes.
3. My husband ordered a meat dish and was thoroughly unimpressed.
4. I had to remind the server multiple times to ask about a vegetarian entree option. I would have been totally fine with not ordering an entree as there were several veg starter options.
Our server wasn't friendly and seemed annoyed I wasn't ordering alcohol. Before bringing the entrees, she said the bottles of French and Spanish were 1/2 price and dropped a wine menu that had all bottles of wine 1/2 price. Huh? BTW 1/2 price meant $100+. This is not the type of dining establishment that can support $200 bottles of wine.
Great location. We love the food. Excellent service too.
Food and service were disappointing.
Really nice evening. Food is excellent. Service is friendly but a few Restaurant 101 features need to be reinforced. The plates from the first course should not be removed until everyone at the table is finished. The second course should never show up before the first course is finished. When you’re paying over $100 per person, this stuff should be down pat. We’ll skip Fall Line next year.
