   The food is extremely fresh and is unique compared to other restaurants in Austin. The fish tacos are some of the best I have ever had and you cannot go wrong with any seafood dish on the menu.

   Amazing place. The service, food, drinks, ambiance, and general vibe was top notch. The garden out back is awesome too.

   This was by far the best restaurant we have had in Austin. The service was top notch and the food was incredible. 5 star!

   Leo was our server for the night, and he was so great! Talked us through the menu, gave us some delicious options to try and was very polite. Thank you Leo!

   Este is a lively space that is clearly beloved by locals and out of towners alike. We were hooked on the tasty chips that were offered and all of the menu items we tried had us wishing there was something similar in our city! Lovely open space with fun banquette seating for two tops; I have no doubt that the patio must be the play for happy hour on a beautiful day. All of the staff was quirky in the best way- everyone seemed happy to be there and that contributes to the energy of Este. We had a very nice server, Courtney, who was attentive but never obsequious. Fun spot! She mentioned that it gets very busy at 7:30, 9:30- but we when elected for a 5:30 early res thinking it would be quieter- it was not! They were slammed but they also do happy hour so there were lots of people queued up when we arrived. Overall, Este is fun and the food is delicious.

   It’s been a year since our last visit to Este. We had a good experience last time. This go around was mediocre at best. Our only highlights for the evening were the drinks and music.

    The food was good. We had a light meal during happy hour consisting of several orders of: ceviche, tuna tiradito, and wagyu tacos. The HH ceviche portions seemed small, and a bit inconsistent among the plates we ordered. But I guess that’s what you get when it’s a discounted happy hour rate, the portion is smaller… just know this when you’re ordering. It was definitely less impressive than the dinner portion both in presentation and size. The tuna and tacos were great. For some reason, we were all parched after the meal. Perhaps the salt content was too much in the dishes we ordered? That’s never happened when we’ve eaten here in the past, perhaps we ordered a different variety of items that didn’t hit us the same way salt-wise. We will either rethink going there next time or try to order a bit differently. Not sure yet.
