Enzo's Bistro and Bar Rancho Mirage
I got Penne Vodka for $16. I added shrimp. I did not see what they charged for that. Nonetheless, the helping was grand. I got three meals out of it. And it was delicious. My husband got the chicken and while it was good, he said it was a bit dry and he would not get it again. Not sure what our dinner mates got but heard no complaints. They seemed to enjoy their meals. Prior to our food coming out the Chef came out and introduced himself. I always think that is good business when the chef wants to meet people and hear what they have to say. We discussed the restaurants new location, yada, yada.. All in all, I recommend..
If you love Italian food, this is the place for you. The veal was the best I have had on the west coast. Service was just perfect. Thanks to Miguel for making our evening and meal exceptional.
Food was amazing! All the different flavors on every dish outstanding. We didn't have an appetizer, but, just about everything else. We are definitely going back.
The food is the best in the valley. The portions are huge and the food is wonderful.
I wish I could be more positive about this experience. We took a friend there for his birthday. The hostess who seated us asked if it was a special occasion, and we mentioned the birthday. There was only one waiter for a large area of several tables. He was having a hard time. It took three requests for water to be brought to our table, which was outside on their patio. The food, when it arrived, was quite good, although my Caesar salad was only so-so. The whole place seemed understaffed, even for a weeknight. When the diners around us left, no one came to bus the five empty tables. We were brought dessert menus, which one of us ordered from (excellent gelato!). The birthday boy didn't order dessert because he assumed something with a candle on it would arrive. When it didn't the celebrant spoke up to the waiter to remind him it was his birthday. The waiter was very surprised and said nobody had told him. Eventually, some very nice tiramisu with a candle stuck in it arrived but by then the bloom was off the rose. Our waiter apologized when he brought the bill --- in fact, it was his fourth or fifth apology of the evening. I felt sorry for him. Enzo's is a beautiful place, but I fear that unless the service improves they won't make it through the summer. And that would be a shame.
Overall experience wasn’t great. My husband and I went for our anniversary and ended up disappointed. Biggest issue was I ordered the ribeye steak, asked for medium and basically got raw. Wouldn’t have been such a big deal if I wasn’t visibly pregnant so I can’t consume raw meat. So didn’t end up able to eat my meal.
The lasagna was not good. Would never order it again. Rest of the food was good. It was also a little noisy.
Good food and environment. Excellent service.
Can’t wait to go back! The manager with the beard was sincere helping his staff and Very professional!
It was a wonderful dinner and our waiter, Isaac, couldn’t have been better! The food was delicious. I would just say that the patio was very nice but could be more warmly decorated and inviting. We have already recommended to friends and will return!
Originally ate at the La Quinta location and was told this was not as good... WRONG! They are both excellent choices. Eggplant was delicious, shrimp fettuccine was excellent and the Caesar salad was a great size to share.
We had short ribs that were tasteless topped with canned French fried onion rings , peas and noodles in some kind of sauce. Would not go there again.
If I would have known it was the same owners as the prior establishment I would have skipped this entirely. The service needs improvement. The food made us sick.
Waiter was friendly and pleasant and had little awareness of menu items. I ordered an item because of his description and it was totally different when delivered. And I didn’t enjoy it at all.
Food was very good, especially the arancini! The waterfall and the music helped the outdoor area have a great ambiance. Isaac, our waiter, made the whole dining experience perfect. I highly recommend this new restaurant-it won’t disappoint you
I'm sorry but we did not like the food. It was not good.
Excellent service and really good food and really good price .
Enjoy it !
Finest italian food in the desert at a reasonable price.
A great surprise to have such a varied menu of classic Italian dishes. We tried two different entrees and both were in the very good category.
Our appetizer that we shared of fries calamari were good. Lightly dusted and tender. Perhaps not quite as good as Johnny Costa's but good.
Service with "Miguel" could not have been better. He is a professional and the Hostess Mary is a charmer.
Food was amazing. The only issue was our waiter. After taking our order we asked not to be rush. He gave us a long speech as he been a waiter at top restaurants and knows how to pace dinner. Well that was wrong. Our food was out before we could finish appetizers and enjoy any conversation. In addition before we finished he had the bill at our table and never asked about dessert.
Lesson learned. Do not order meals etc til after you eat your appetizers, salad etc.
Excellent food and great service at reasonable prices
Only negative was sound level
Food was delicious!! Happy hour prices couldn’t be beat!! Will definitely visit again!!
Our first time at Enzo’s and we all live in the Desert!! Shame on us, we should have been going there all along! We loved everything. The service was top notch. The food scrumptious. We will be back and bring many more friends. Thank you Enzos for making my friends birthday a memorable one.
There were four of us who wanted to try the new Enzo's in Rancho Mirage. We all ordered different meals so we could try each others. We chose to eat in the patio on this nice night for the noise inside was too much for people with hearing aids. Our first course was the Caeser salad which I thought was the best in the valley. Then came the Rotisserie Chicken, a bit dry; the Salmon, quite salty but flavorful, veggie salad and Spaghetti with meat balls, both of which were liked by all. The Manager stopped by, asked our opinions which we were forthcoming with. He was most appreciative that we were honest for they want to be successful. Our waitress Maria, an outstanding attitude.
Patio extremely loud.
Anastasia was a wonderful waitress, very attentive. The food was excellent...Arancini balls the best I’ve ever tasted. Exceeded all expectations. The prices are reasonable and the quality excellent.
Fabulous dining experience! The food was wonderful. The service was great & the value was exceptional!
This restaurant is not what I expect from an authentic Italian restaurant. Very noisy, food mediocre, Disappointed to say the least. Will not be returning.
We regret to say that our first dining experience at Enzos was very disappointing! Nice facility, pleasant host at front door. Nice booth in the corner....but, that’s where the “ good”, ended. Our server seemed disappointed that we didn’t order drinks or appetizers etc... From that point forward...he was no longer interested? Perhaps our check price wouldn’t have given him a big enough tip. We got soda refills and some butter from busboys passing by. The bread offering was large chunks of something, attempting to be focaccia.....dry and tasteless. The server suggested several salad and appetizer options,,but....we were headed to a movie and didn’t have the time. He seemed annoyed and unhappy, My wife asked his suggestions and recommendations...? He offered a wisecrack comment that...” he. couldnt recommend everything.... because it would affect his credibility”;). At that point....he did t have much with us!
We were going to leave, but....we only had 50 mins to order, eat, and get to our movie.
She ordered the Rotisserie Chicken. Usually a “ go to option”, for her when nothing looks gr8. Chicken was heavily injected or brined, and had way too much salt n spice? She left it on the plate!
I ordered the Chicken Parmesan with linguini. No complaints. Chicken was cooked well, linguini was a tad over cooked, but not a big deal.
The manager stopped by to ask...how’s everything? We gave him an honest appraisal of our experience, and noted the entire chicken meal was still on the plate? Mentioned the salt n spice issue? He didn’t know what brining was, but checked with the chef. Not much debate! He offered us a complimentary appetizer on a future visit :). Nice guy.....wrong solution?
My guess is....this place will likely end quickly, just like their predecessors! 3 in 3 years, all failed.
Anxious to see what’s next .
I made the reservation through Open Table but did not specify that I wanted to go to the La Quinta Site....went there and they accommodated my party of four....which was very nice. But, they said that my reservation was for the Rancho Mirage Enzo......I must have MISSED the part of the reservation where you checked which Enzo you wanted to go to..... they said that they get that mistake a lot..... we sat outside and it was a lovely evening....great food, could have a conversation and waitress was fabulous.
Beautiful restaraunt with plenty of seating and parking. Patio was very nice with shades and misters. We ordered a variety of meals and they were all good. Happy hour menu was very reasonable and plenty of options. Service was excellent!
amazing service and food selection. Loved the Branzino whitefish...and the shortribs...the italian salad is the utmost in salads! Thank you for everything.
Everything was really good! Our server Anastasia was warm welcoming and most accommodating! We sincerely enjoyed it all. The aucustics need some improvement. We definitely will come again. Also the cocktails were great. The bartender Jason was also very friendly and welcoming!,
Server was very nice and accommodating. Food was wonderful. We sat on the patio which has a fountain and a fireplace, very lovely. I only gave a 4 overall because not ever being there before I didn’t know if bread was given or an extra. The server brought oil for dipping bread but no bread. It wasn’t til we were almost done with our meal that I noticed all the other tables had bread baskets on them. Still don’t know the answer but everything else was wonderful.
The food was very good, service outstanding. Loved sitting outside a little noisy with all the water but nice. Already referred friends to the Palm Desert location.
We enjoyed it from beginner to end. We went twice for that reason.
Loved the ambience on patio near fireplace. Food, drinks, food outstanding,
Food was excellent! Service can probably be better as staff grows into working at this new restaurant location for Enzo’s. Would go back again. We were a group of 5 and each ordered different things and everything we got was fantastic
A varied menu with good selections across the board. Reasonable prices and not the typical high prices we see at a number of Italian places around town. The four of us all enjoyed our meals. In particular, the swordfish was deemed outstanding by me and another of our party! Only recommendation would be to serve the sauce on the side--perhaps with pasta--because the fish didn't need it and the wonderful risotto was tainted by it. Will definitely return.
Our waiter was not very friendly...the food was good, not exceptional...the outdoor patio was full as well as the bar but no one in the dining room...shame....would go back again to give it a second chance...
