   My family went for an early birthday dinner at this newer steakhouse, and we were very pleased with our table and the view. There were plenty of servers, but service started a little slow, not as quick with drink refills and getting our appetizer order. The main course came out relatively quick. We all ordered filet mignon ranging from medium rare, to medium, to medium plus. The medium rare steak was overcooked, but the staff fixed that right away. The medium and medium plus were a tad overcooked, but we ate them and they were tasty! We had macaroni and cheese, garlic rice, and creamed spinach, as well as a salad. The sides were delicious. It's pricy, but my family enjoyed it. We will definitely be back for another special occasion!

   妻と一緒にオニオンリングとサーフ＆ターフ、付け合わせの野菜を頂きました。サンセットの時間帯で静かな雰囲気の中で過ごせて、思い出に残りました。日本語も通じるのでお勧めです。

   Poor experience all around. Steaks overcooked for me and undercooked for my wife. Didn't taste good at all. What a waste of dry aged steaks thanks to this restaurant. Servers awkward and lazy like it was their first day at the job. Maybe try asking customers if they would like to order sides if they only order two steaks, since they might not know it was ala carte. Maybe ask and clarify with customers if they are ordering the NY strip off of the lunch menu or the dinner menu, since the same item is on both menus (with very different prices). But, no, can't be bothered. I had a reservation for five for Mother's Day, but I cancelled it while I was still there.

   A beautiful restaurant. Service was impeccably professional and efficient. Bone-in Ribeye was a very thick cut of meat, and was under-cooked and chewy.

   First of all, I want to say that the food was delicious and the service was really great! First time going there and I was impressed. It was my wife’s birthday and the front staff helped us sing happy birthday and then the whole restaurant joined in, that was so beautiful! There’s just a couple things I didn’t like about this place but maybe one is not in there control. I was a little disappointed in the floor plan of the restaurant. I’m not an expert but I thought it was unfortunate that they couldn’t have taken advantage of the beautiful ocean views and most of the seating was toward the city/mountains. They had a piano player in there that was playing more modern medleys which I didn’t care for, maybe softer classical pieces or even softer modern music would made the ambiance more enjoyable. Also, it sounded like an electric piano but looked like a baby grand, we play piano at home so we could tell. My opinion is that for the price you spend at a restaurant like this, the ambiance needs to match that. A simple fix in my opinion! I will definitely like to come back on our next big celebration.

   The Empire Steak House has excellent food, good service, an elegant atmosphere and a great view, so what’s wrong? It’s hard to find. We found it online, booked a reservation on Open Table and had the address but, when we arrived, we saw no sign of the restaurant. It turns out it is atop the Ilikai Hotel but even when we entered the hotel, we couldn’t find it and had to ask at the hotel reception desk where it is. It has an elevator just for the restaurant that takes you directly to the top floor which has a view of downtown Honolulu and the harbor. On arrival, we were greeted by Julio, the attentive manager who asked us right off how we found the restaurant. We replied that we found it online but, on leaving, told him about our experience actually locating it. It’s worth the effort.

   It is one of the most beautiful view of Hawaii majestic esplendor. It used to be Pesca and they were horrific at table service. This current staff was very attentive and provided all the best comforts a restauran should provide. The food was good and they have a great lunch special that is under 40 dollars. One starter/ entre. Wishing them the best because it is a majestic location.

    Horrific pricing on the menu. I’m not terribly worried because unless they reduce their steak prices by about 50%, the place won’t be around long. Hopefully the new restaurant will be more realistic.
