Great service and view. Food was a bit disappointing. Seared Ahi was black and didn't taste fresh. Wedge Salad dressing not great. No bacon and large pieces of onion. Would prefer a real wedge with crumbled blue cheese, bacon. Onion Soup delicious. Crab Cake was ok. Fish was good. Filet was stringy which I have never experienced before. Service, management and the view are five stars.

My friend and I, both living in Waikiki, were eager to try Empire Steak House. We have fond memories of the Ilikai's previous rooftop restaurant, Sorrento's. It was a delightful evening from being greeted at the elevator entrance in the lobby to being greeted upon our arrival on the 31st floor. We were a little early and chairs were brought to make our wait more comfortable. It was Happy Hour and the menu had many choices...the biggest shrimp I have ever seen were perfectly poached and the Steak Kabob did not disappoint either. Bartender Mark made a gin martini the traditional way and it was exceptional. Natasha gave us a peek at the "secret speakeasy!" We will go back again (and again!) and we suggest you try it.

Had to ask for refills had to ask for the bill after waiting 10 minutes after they cleared off the table. Ordered a $120 steak asked for medium I got med well all grey no pink. If you have the stones to charge $120 for a steak you should be able to cook it properly. My mother inlaws baked potato came out room temp and we asked it to be warmed up. The Mac and cheese was tasty as was the au poivre sauce. I just kinda expect better for a $500 meal.

Food was nice. But the service from the man who served our table was unpleasant. He failed to provide a proper drink list or provided the wrong one, failed to respond to repeated requests to order, and interrupted our family's conversation during the meal.

Empire Steak House was absolutely outstanding. It is more of a modern fancy restaurant. No strict dress code, shorts, and island attire accepted! It was the perfect place to celebrate my parents anniversary. Quality and quantity of food were great and so were the views. It is a must visit!

We were a few minutes late but they restaurant was very accommodating and friendly, we didn’t have to wait long for our table to be ready. We even got a tour of the entire restaurant. We celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary and we got our dessert as a complimentary with a happy anniversary chocolate sign. The workers were very diligent and professional with their work. The food was also exceptional.

Unfortunately we had some issues, took over 1.5 hours to get food while others around us came and went. When we asked about our food the waiter made it seem it was the kitchens fault but admitted later to making errors on our meal anyway. We never received one of the sides, my wife’s steak was cold as if it had been sitting for 30 minutes, the wine we ordered was unavailable so of course recommended a more expensive bottle. My sons French fries were the last to come out and were hotter then the surface of the son However given all that the food we did receive was absolutely amazing, the filet and lobster tail were best I’ve had on the islands. The management was also great, they handled our issues and went above what we had expected. I know it’s a newer place so hoping it was just a slip up as we definitely would like to try it again.

Service was awful. After thr initial service of water our drinks took 20 mins to come to us. After that our server didn't come see us till about 10 mins after that. After our appetizers we waited 45 mins for our food. No one came to check us and the manager did not even apologize for it. A table who had no reservations and was seated way after us got there food before us. They didn't even check up on us until we decided to complain. Overall one of the worst experiences we had. I know it was Mother's day but no excuse for horrible service.

Great ambience. The wait staff did their best to accommodate all incoming guests. However, there was really not much of a process. Two parties have been skipped and the wait staff assisted the one who just literally walked in. No situational awareness when the two parties literally just in front of the wait staff for a bit 5 minutes. The table arrangement was very simple and able to enjoy the sunset while we wait for our drinks and food. The complimentary bread was good. I did not mind waiting for the long wait on appetizers and lot longer for the main course. In the beginning, the staff was attentive with water and bread if needed refills then the long wait began. I will say I was glad we got our dinner and enjoy the company of my family. I just felt bad for the three tables around us who sat way before us and enjoyed their drinks and maybe bread and appetizers. But then, their main course seemed like never arrived. After spending almost 3 hours and ready to call it a night, it is just when those tables received their main course dinners. Yet again, the common theme for the night was a lack of situational awareness for the staff who walked multiple times pass those empty tables with guests waiting patiently for their food. The filet mignon and rib eye bone-in were definitely delicious. My wife and I enjoyed the crab cake. It was an ok experience and marked on the list as tried. But, most likely not coming back.
