   Music Too loud for a peaceful Sunday morning. What’s the need? Why do restaurants think everyone wants to yell at each other? Breakfast was ok. Hash browns too thin and way too peppery.

   The overall experience was very good. The staff located my reservation, got me seated and after my guests arrived our server promptly took our order. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, the food was good and my guests and I had an enjoyable lunch.

   Eloise Nichols Grill + Liquors is a breath of fresh air. Located in a recently renovated retail area in the Highland Village, one might think that ENG is merely another trendy, chi chi establishment — long on style, short on substance. This could not be further from the truth. The restaurant is well-lit with soothing ambient lighting that actually allows a patron to read the menu but not so bright that it looks harsh. The lighting is flattering. The eclectic music mix is at a nice level. The restaurant itself is beautifully appointed — stylish yet not stuffy. Walking into the dining area is like walking into the home of a dear friend. The service is warm and courteous without being overly solicitous. While the menu is not overly extensive, there is just the right number of options for even the most discerning diner. The cuisine can be best described as good old Southern home cooking with just the right amount of panache. The well-appointed bar has all the makings for whatever cocktail suits your fancy. There are a nice selection of wines — a little something for everyone. Now the food: I have one word — scrumptious! The home cooked cuisine is elevated without being pretentious and serves only to enhance and refresh the original dish. I had their grilled salmon with pesto cauliflower rice and roasted beets. Divine! My husband and I shared a slice of their key lime pie. It was perfect in every way, from the key lime custard with just the right amount of tang, to the perfectly baked buttery Graham cracker crust, topped with whipped cream and a soupçon of lime zest. I’m not exaggerating. Every aspect of the meal and experience was perfect. As an added bonus, everything is reasonably priced. We are so happy we went and will be returning soon.

    Nice lunch experience with excellent table service. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was delicious but the piece of chicken was tiny. Certainly not a $14 portion. Barely the size of a single chicken tender. Surely just an oversight?

    Had dinner here with friends and the whole experience was lovely. Loved our waiter (wish I knew his name to give him a shout out), the menu is a good mix of healthy and more indulgent. Beautiful ambiance. Easy parking. I will return.

    The Not Jennifer Aniston salad is all chickpeas, it should say that in the menu. Don't be surprised when you don't see any greens in it.

    Love this place but was disappointed with the brunch service during this visit. We will dine again but when we have to request a member of the wait staff to come to our table so we can order coffee, it was disappointing.

    The food wasn’t fresh and our service wasn’t the best. The server did not tend to our table. He brought out food we didn’t order and wasn’t listening to our needs/wants. He also charged my card someone else’s bill plus mine. He did not tell me and I had to find out from my bank alerting me of this issue. I expected it to be a nice vibe from how nice the restaurant was but that was not the case.

    I enjoy all Adair restaurants, this was very disappointed in Eloise Nichols. I hadn’t been in several years and think it has gone downhill in every way. The food was mediocre and the noise was so deafening we couldn’t hear each other. The hostess was disinterested and our waitress had too many tables although she was very nice. It was an unpleasant experience and I won’t go back.

    The place was full for Sunday brunch.. great energy and vibrant crowd. Food was wonderful.. many options.. well priced for the area! Service was ok.. when my friend asked for a substitution on a dish.. the server just dismissed the request and didn’t bother to ask the kitchen.. I would encourage the server to check and confirm if a request can be accommodated.. thanks!

    Felt very rushed by our waitress. As soon as she sat us, she asked us what we wanted to drink before even handing us our menus. Then 3 minutes later, she came back asking us if we were ready to place our food order. Then it seemed like she again only gave us another 3 minutes to actually order, I didn’t even get the chance to look at the menu. We were also brought the check before asking for it as well. All in all, it was an incredibly rushed dinner. I would understand if she was trying to turn tables but we were one of 3 parties sat inside the restaurant, so there was absolutely no need to rush at all.

    I was created near the front of the restaurant on the bank yet. I had requested a table in the back when I made my reservation so it would be The weight stack or terribly slow and my salad had a hair in it and had to be returned they did take it off my bill but the last several times I’ve been at this restaurant the food in service have not been good

    Very nice brunch offerings, reasonably priced and nice atmosphere. The salmon avocado toast is a nice appetizer, and large enough for Two to share. I enjoyed the Horchata French toast; and the we both enjoyed the Mimosas (Classic OJ for him, Pineapple for me).
