Founded in 2016, Eliza Restaurant & Bar is a cozy contemporary Creole restaurant serving local Louisiana food. After many years spent working in the hospitality industry in New Orleans, Russell & Sally Davis set out to open a simple concept in the Baton Rouge market - a scratch kitchen featuring Creole classics using fresh and local ingredients - all served with an abundance of genuine Southern hospitality.

Very good restaurant, beautiful and tasty food. My only issue is I told the waitress I do not eat pork. I asked for the shrimp and grits which had no pork listed on the menu. Then she brought it to me with bacon pits sprinkled on top. They have a small menu so I feel as this was ignorance on her part. Other than that amazing experience and would go again.

RJ, we are so sorry to hear of this mistake as we take food allergens and dietary restrictions very seriously. We do have Tasso listed as an ingredient for the Shrimp and Grits, but will be looking into how this occurred after your server was notified of your preferences. This little gem of a restaurant is one of my favorites in Baton Rouge. I recently celebrated my daughter's graduation from LSU, and of course, the meal was excellent. I highly recommend Eliza for a celebration or a wonderful dinner on a night out.

Our waiter was excellent— his name was Marshall, I think? He was super! The shrimp and beet salad with figs was also great.

We had never been there before so did not know what to expect. The server was very polite and knew the menu well. The before dinner drinks were prepared exactly as we liked. The Gumbo was excellent and the main course was perfect. I had the Veal and my Wife ordered the Pork chop. Both were prepared as expected. An excellent restaurant especially if you are looking for a truly great meal.

We had a lovely dinner at Eliza. The energy is comforting, the ambience is quiet but elevated. The food was delicious and farm to table.

We were so glad we had the opportunity to celebrate my husband’s birthday at Eliza! Our server Madison was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh so delicious. We will definitely visit again soon.
