Friendly service and nice ambience but food was overpriced. Home cooked and fresh but lacking seasoning and flavor. Had the catfish appetizer, mushroom/crab soup, chicken fricasse and paneed fish. Food was bland except for the soup. Made reservations for a friends birthday dinner, which they acknowledged but never offered a birthday dessert. Not impressed overall.

The crab and corn bisque was fresh and light. The crab cakes were loaded with crab meat. We also enjoyed the penned striped bass topped with grilled shrimp. All the vegetables were prepared perfectly. We will return soon.

My server was excellent! I have Celiac and she completely understood what I needed and assured me my meal was made in a GF designated area. She recommended items and was helpful and patient with all my questions. And my meal?? I give it a two thumbs up! Perfect!

Had a great experience. Armina was our server and she was great with our two kids. They ate everything! She gave great recommendations for all the selections we made. We will certainly make this Eliza's one of our go to places.

Brought an out-of-towner who'd otherwise never even had heard of the place. He was suitably impressed. Everything was fabulous. Well, maybe the music playing in the dining room was just a tad too loud, but it was a great playlist!

Our server was fairly pleasant, but was not very attentive. We had to request refills of water and tea several times. Our food was only average. The fried seafood platter was very bland by South Louisiana standards and at $36 somewhat overpriced. The catfish fillets were way too thick and didn't taste that fresh. The best item we had was the pimento cheese appetizer. Overall a rather disappointing experience.

As always, Chef Russell, Sally, and their whole crew made for a delightful evening with friends. Fried green tomatoes with shrimp, catfish strips, crab cakes, squid ink pasta with shrimp & paneed baby drum with shrimp, ALL delightful! We were much too sated even to think about dessert. They even cocktailed their berry mocktail to make for a special drink for us!!! If for some reason Eliza is not yet a regular dining spot for you, you ought to make it so!

Went for the Julia Child Birthday Dinner. The food was outstanding. The wine pairings were very nice, particularly given the price ($25 for three wines). And, as usual, the service was excellent. I eat hear fairly regularly, and Eliza's always delivers a quality experience.

We so enjoyed the Julia Child Birthday celebration menu. Each course was so well-prepared and presented. The wine pairings were well- suited to each course. We will definitely go back to try other menu items. Un grand merci!!!

Arugula with watermelon and shrimp salad was attractive and tasty but arugula was difficult to eat with all the stems. Taking time to chop them off would be advisable. Also crackers or bread should come with salads. We like Eliza and the food is innovative and well presented.

My wife and I really enjoyed the 3 course Julia Childs Birthday dinner. The courses were well timed and we had an excellent server. We hope to enjoy future special dinners where the themes feature special menus.

my husband and I came here for our anniversary! I got the paneed fish, I wish I had a little bit more salt, but overall it was quite tasty. Dessert was delicious, a fruit, crisp… Yum. Do yourself a favor and get the spicy margarita!

We were visiting BR from Houston and we’re excited to find a restaurant that listed gluten-free options on their menu. The cocktails were outstanding and the appetizers and entrees were fantastic! The fried catfish, pimento cheese balls and crab cakes were my favorites!

May have been what I ordered, but the eggplant of the Napoleon wasn't cooked through, the tomatoes were not ripe or flavorful and the dish just didn't work. The Crispy shrimp with black pasta was lacking in flavor/sauce and five shrimp seemed a small number for an entree serving. I've had better meals there in the past. Wife's fish dish was good.

The tuna salad I ordered for an entree had maybe 2oz of tuna at $25 it was a rip off. The tuna was good but the salad itself was bag at best.

Eliza's is always a good experience. The dining space has a pleasant calm about it. Everybody is enjoying themselves and there is lots of chatter, but it never gets loud, maybe due to the high ceiling. Food and service is always excellent. It has become my go to spot for a bit more upscale lunch.

Our waiter Riley was top notch! We started with a excellent whipped goat cheese appetizer, then the shrimp and grits was equally delicious and then finished off with one of the best lemon ice box pies we have had. Highly recommended

The atmosphere at this little restaurant is great. The food, however, was not as excellent on this second visit. We were disappointed with the crawfish dip appetizer. It was like a soup. The entrees were good but not exceptional for the price.

We have been going to Elizas, since they first opened and we love the place. The staff has always been outstanding, and the restaurant has a New Orleans ambience. The food is delicious and they do change some items throughout the year, and test new dishes. We love going there and we recommend it to others as a cozy, comfortable and enjoyable restaurant. The owners are pretty cool too.
