The cheese was good; main course was a choice between short rib and scallops
which neither one was above average (my main dish was extremely salty, however the waitress did offer a credit for that)
For the pricing I would expect better
Would go back only if there is something in the menu that I would consider attractive
Romantic and Relaxing! Excellent, intetesting cuisine!
This was a gift for my parents. They have raved about it and told everyone they know. They were blown away by the experience and were grateful for their evening!
When my wife and I moved to Wichita, we were quickly told about the Elderslie Farm. Coming from Birmingham, which has so many amazing restaurants, we were eager to find some local places to enjoy. Since landing in Kansas in June, we have enjoyed several good meals from some great restaurants, but nothing has compared to our time at Elderslie. It was clear from the moment we arrived that everything about EF was thought through. The ambiance was idyllic. The service was the on point—not over the top, but personal and pleasant. The food was fantastic. Every course was so well balanced, and the flavors were amazing! On the way home we were already planning our next visit.
One of the most special meals I’ve ever had. The venue is intimate, the service was excellent, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend!
An absolute gem. We had enjoyed Elderslie's creamery and Bramble Cafe, but New Year's Eve we finally tried their farm-to-table dinner. Every course from start to finish was wonderful.
I'd rather spring for a meal at Elderslie in such a quiet and beautiful location supporting a wonderful family once a quarter than eat out every other week at some place in Wichita with spotty service and mediocre food. My new favorite restaurant!
Beautiful restaurant. Great food and service. One of the nicest places in Wichita for a romantic date.
Best food experience in Kansas! Elderslie never disappoints and perfect place for special out of town guests.
Food was delicious and the presentation was so pretty! Service was great! We will be back!
A unique, fabulous place with delicious, gourmet dining. Unprecedented in the area and region.
Still thinking about the shortribs a few days later!
We made extra effort to dine at Elderslie Farm, and we are so glad we did. The night of our reservations, we enjoyed an Inventive and fresh menu with courses that blended exquisitely from course to course. Wine pairings were delightful and the service impeccable. Floated home!
Nothing to say but incredible!
One of the most fantastic dining experiences. The ambiance is excellent. It's cozy and quiet. The service is outstanding. Every dish was unique and flavorful. The short rib entre was so tender and flavorful. I can't wait to return after the seasonal menu changes.
Wait staff was a little cool upon arrival but became much more congenial as the evening progressed. Food was spectacular!!!! Noise level was the only negative as there was a large table of people having “party “ nearby.. The overall experience was fantastic and we definitely plan on going back!
We arrived at the gravel parking lot and walked to the restaurant which was about 125 yards from parking. When we arrived there was nobody to greet us. We wandered into to the place and stood near the kitchen until a waitress asked if she could help. We were seated at a small table near a fireplace (it was definitely cold outside) that was unlit. We arrived for 7:30 reservations. Our table included views of the kitchen and all that was going on in there. Loud and obnoxious comments filled the air. We decided to order the suggested wine. It lacked everything but sugar. Each course of the meal was entirely to long. We finally left at 9:30 (2 hours after being seated) before the dessert course was even mentioned. The tab was $225.00 however we did order a bottle of wine which was $28.00 more than a glass of wine ($42, $14 respectively). Service was not attentive and 2 hours for dinner without dessert is just too long.
It was a mistake to go there and an expensive one.
As suggested in the review---everything was top notch. Aside from the ambiance and the service which were very good; the food was not the usual variety. Interesting and innovative. A nice experience.
Great Christmas Dinner with Mother
Quiet, great food and a nice place to get away for a great dinner.
A little bit of a scheduling challenge but everything worked out in the end. Food and service were excellent, wine was great and we really enjoyed our experience! Can’t wait to go back.
Wonderful dinning experience! The food was exquisite, service was attentive and informative. We had appetizers, wine course, and dinner. We will be returning.
Great place for a quiet evening of amazingly prepared original dishes. Top class dining in a unique country setting.
This is the third time we have used Elderslie Farm for a special occasion and it never disappoints.
We always enjoy the wonderful food and service at Elderslie. The staff treats you like welcome friends that have been away and come home. The food is amazing and we can hardly wait for each new menu. Well done Friends!!
Hands down the best restaurant in the Wichita area! Service is always excellent and we enjoy trying things that we wouldn't choose off a menu on our own.
Unique dining experience! Cozy intimate setting. It was freezing in the restaurant, though! Server not very knowledgeable about the wine pairings. Dessert was weak. But otherwise, we loved it and the creativity and ambience are just fabulous!
We were celebrating our anniversary. A first time at this beautiful restaurant. It was a delightful experience. And delicious!
Love the overall experience. The walk along lighted path from parking lot to a country home starts the evening, On the patio you're given an opportunity to enjoy an appetizer overlooking the farm. The staff provide great detail to how food was locally procured.
We try to enjoy this experience a couple of times each year.
Disappointed with the main course (Halibut) over cooked. This was removed from the final check. Service was great as usual. Booked again for Dec 23rd, hoping the current issues get resolved.
Excellent food, lovely location, excellent service. We loved every minute of our experience. It was delightful.
First time visitor, but it twill not be my last time! What a good time! Food is amazing, wine matching is perfect, and such friendly staff! I opted to pay cash versus the card I used to make the reservation and that worked out great! Next time I'll be more prepared to proceed with the card. Thank you!
Fantastic! There were 4 of us in our 50's and none of us knew what to expect. We had never been to a place with a set meal menu. We started out with the charcuterie board which included their fresh cheeses. It was excellent. We intended to get some of their cheeses when we left, but by then we were feeling fat and happy so it slipped our minds. so sad, since we were from out of town and wouldn't be returning for quite some time. We decided to splurge on the wine pairing and we were not disappointed. The squash, sunchoke, and duck dishes were amazing with elegant presentations. Of course, we did wish the portions were a bit larger. We weren't crazy about the dessert that included smoked ice cream, so to satisfy our sweet tooth we ordered coffee and a fig galette. It was the perfect conclusion to our dining experience. Service was superior and the room was quiet making it easier on our aging ears. Other than the first dessert, my only other complaint is the cost compared to portion size. We spent $125 per person and I still came away hungry. Perhaps I simply desired more of the superior food.
What a perfect dining experience. The elegant food, wine pairings, service and ambiance all added to a lovely celebration. We will definitely be back!
Amazing service, interesting food combinations, gorgeous presentations. Time between courses was a bit too long. Overall great fine dining experience.
This is probably the 5th time we have been there. The food was good but definitely disappointing compared to how the food used to be. The first few times we went (2019-20) the food was amazing! We have eaten at great restaurants all over the country and Elderslie Farm has honestly been the best we have ever had. The food this weekend was good, but lacked the creativity and surprising combination of flavors and textures that we were used to.
Thank you, GM
We loved everything about it from start to finish. We brought our 8 year old and she loved it too!
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Elderslie Farm with shared the charcuterie board as an appetizer and then had the 4 course meal with the wine pairings. Everything was absolutely delicious. The wines were perfectly paired with each dish. Each dish highlighted a different local cuisine, which was cooked perfectly each time and contained a range of complex flavors that melded together and enhanced each part to elevate the whole. Would recommend the experience.
Great for a nice dinner. Have been to Michelin star restaurants and enjoyed this meal just as much [and didn't leave still hungry like those]. We will be back!
I have heard about this restaurant but this was our first visit for dinner. A very relaxing fun evening. We spent over 3 hours visiting, drinking wine and dining on a very unusual and delicious dinner! Cool ambiance and outstanding service! We felt so welcome and comfortable. It was a hour drive but we will return with friends soon! One of the most unusual and delicious dining experiences in the Wichita area!
I love this place! I’d never even have tried a sunchoke if not for them! N be However, this visit the portions got smaller and the wine pairing is only 9 oz for $32. That seems hefty. But I’ll keep going back forever ❤️
