Been in the Valley all summer and finally made it to El Segundo last night for dinner. Great menu choices, many options on the tacos. The slaw has a "bite" to it that I loved since I'm from TX and like the kick, but others may not so just FYI. Had the Baja Mahi Burrito, excellent. The Brussel Sprouts and Ceviche we shared as starters and they're both very tasty. One of our group ordered the Chimichanga and didn't care for the refried beans inside, she'd thought they'd be on the side. She had failed to fully read the description and admitted that, but the hostess still took the charge off her bill since she did not enjoy her order. Great attention to pleasing the guests. Look forward to coming back.
The food was wonderful. The tables favorite was the Hot Korean. Our server was very attentive, she came by every few minutes to make sure we did not need anything.
Fun and good food!
House margaritas were outstanding as was the queso appetizer! We each enjoyed a specialty taco followed by the churros and chocolate ice cream...we will definitely return! The wait staff were helpful and friendly and ready to please.
We had so much fun. Food and service were excellent.
Great food and drinks for a good value. Friendly wait staff
Great price point option for Vail - a lot of the tacos did seem to be on the spicer side - but lots of fun options!
Thanks for allowing dogs on the patio.
Great night, sitting in the outdoor patio which was important for us during these COVID-19 days. Food was excellent and service was friendly.
Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Calamari was terrific and the tacos were the best we can remember. Terrific place
Great service. Surprise tasting Margarita. Fajitas were delish and one order was plenty for 2.
Delicious tacos! Love the selection. Came here twice!
We needed a little more time to order. I think our waitress thought we should have been quicker. Still, we love to be here and find it fun and unique. We all had a great time and that's the most important.
The wife and I went here for a late supper and were very pleased. The tacos were delicious and had a few margaritas as well that were very tasty. Our server was very friendly as she was local from Colorado and was very helpful with suggestions and friendly to boot. All in all we had a great time and definitely would go back.
Food was outstanding and our server was attentive, friendly and helpful. I wish it wasn’t so noisy! It was hard for our table of 5 to hear each other.
Delicious! A must if you are in Vail. Try the Korean BBQ taco
The service was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. I enjoyed my taco salad and absolutely loved my strawberries and cream dish.
Amazing food and great atmosphere! Margs were also so good
The food and drinks were delicious. The only issue I had was that our server didn't wear her mask properly which made us uncomfortable
The service was great, very friendly. We decided to have nachos and really liked them. Instead of piling them all up, they were spread out in a small baking tray which means there weren’t a lot of dry chips with no topping. I don’t drink cocktails often and decided to try the Champagne Supaloma....excellent!
I'm local to the area and brought my friends here so they could experience Vail village without going somewhere super expensive. I love the margaritas and the food is pretty good, but the server was incredibly rude. I will probably come back, but I will just sit at the bar. I won't bring any friends here again.
Not sure why we did not get points for dining here!
Loved the Greek taco and Coconut Cole slaw the best-unusual unique menu items but very very good
I cannot say enough about this restaurant and the entire staff and management. This is not your typical boring taco place. A well thought out menu, with amazing ingredients, and beautifully executed. Every taco we tried was outstanding and the chips and salsa are incredible. We travel a lot and are from a major city that has Michelin rated restaurants and this is probably the best taco restaurant we have
The service was great and the food even better! Overall best dining experience in Vail - coupling good drinks, fun atmosphere and quality meal.
We snagged a reservation at the last minute on a Saturday night and couldn't have been more pleased. The service and food were fantastic. Highly recommend.
OMG SO GOOD! Where has this place been my whole life? We started with a bubbling hot pan of queso fundido, which was superb and had some delicious crunchy bits of burnt cheese at the bottom. Then had margaritas- which were not only absolutely delicious and refreshing but definitely left us feeling delightfully warm and fuzzy without tasting strong. I had the Chile relleno which was delicious and cooked in a traditional style with rice and a amazing tomato sauce, and my BF had the carne asada burrito which was packed with flavor and melty cheese as well. Highly recommend the friend of the devil marg (bright and spicy). Service was also phenomenal all around. 11/10 will be back
Patio was beautiful, service was excellent, and the queso appetizer was delicious! Recommend the ahi poke taco, the zorba the Greek taco, and the Baja taco.
Outdoor seating was wonderful, overlooking Gore Creek.
We have come to Vail a few times this summer, and each time we have eaten at El Segudo. The food is well made and inventive, the prices are very affordable, and they have a great patio. I highly recommend this place—enjoy!
It’s hard to understand how a Mexican restaurant can make lousy chips, salsa and guacamole. Worst ever. Tables may have been 6’ apart but was still packed. The Chile rellenos were below average but the ahi tuna tacos were excellent ( but tiny).
Beer was cold!
Top favorite places in Vail.
We always enjoy eating here, especially outside where the noise level is not as intense! The food and service has always been very good. We will continue to eat here when we are in Vail!
Laura was our server and she was great!
We drove to Vail from Denver and at here. The restaurant had a lot of energy, good food and it was a good value!
Great place for Mexican food. Drinks are really tasty
Listen, we love El Segundo and have been eating tacos and drinkinf margaritas there since they've opened. But the night we went really wasn't as amazing as it had been in the past. Our server was very nice, but not attentive. Also, please don't waste your $20 on the fajitas. Get some tacos, you can't go wrong there.
We were greeted by the extremely pleasant hostess! Our waitress was very friendly. We started with the chorizo fundido and it was very good and flavorful! I started with a skinny spicy margarita that hit the spot! I had two tacos the tuna and the grouper. They were amazing!! The tuna one is very small but filling. The grouper was great. My son had the spicy beef taco. The chicken taco and the jerk shrimp. All were good!! This is more “foodie” Mexican than authentic so if that’s what you are looking for this isn’t the place. We loved it!!
Great service, great view over the creek
