It was Thursday night - we drove a half hour to get there . The Restaurant was closed ! You guys need better info. And now you are asking for a review!!!

DO NOT GO HERE. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH We made Open Table reservations for 9/21/2024. We received confirmations by text and email for the date & time. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed "for a private event" that looked like it consisted of about 20 people. We went inside to inquire and the bartender told us "no idea, i don't make the reservations." When asked for another restaurant recommendation, he said "there's no good food in Evergreen, CO, including this place." What an endorsement!

This place was decidedly unbusy for a Saturday morning brunch service. On the one hand, we were glad, but on the other hand, they need more publicity for how good their food was! I had the French toast with a side of potatoes. My husband had the biscuits and gravy with eggs. Portions were generous and everything was cooked well. We had a small order snafu, but the server made it right immediately. We hope to come back!

Really disappointed. Had heard there was a new owner and new chef so decided to try it. Service was very, very slow. Almost laughable. Food was ok. Overall experience totally NOT worth what we spent. Will not be back!

We had a great dinner at El Rancho for our friends 47th anniversary. We all had the Chicken Fried Stead and it was very good. Also had 3 appetizers of Queso, cornbread and chili fries. All were a hit with our group. We are planning to return next time in the area!

The cinnamon rolls were outstanding - - not overly sweet, great texture. We really enjoyed our Reuben sandwiches. They were well-prepared with plenty of meat. Loved the oven-roasted potatoes.

There environment is great and food pretty good. I had the gnocchi which was okay, my husband enjoyed the french dip. We enjoyed sitting at the bar after dinner, and are looking forward to returning to try something else for dinner. The have happy hour everyday which we hope you take advantage of again!

My wife had the trout and I had the Southwest salad and both were mediocre at best. The fish was flavorless and poorly prepared. My salad was borderline inedible. The service was lackluster and intermittent. I wouldn't go back. Only pluses were the queso dip and the beer. So maybe stay on the bar side. It's a shame because it's such a great location with terrific mountain views and an old west cabin vibe.

Waited 1+20 minutes for our food. Fish and potatoes were fried in grease that was either dirty or too hot, both came out looking burnt, i.e. black. It was Mother's Day, and the kitchen could not keep up with the crowd.
