This Spanish Restaurant opened in 1989 and has been a success ever since. The secret of this success is that El Metro is not only a restaurant. It’s a corner of Spain in Fulham. The moment you step in you are transported to Spain. The food, the live music, the ambience, the unique Terrance is all part of its magic.
As far as the food is concerned you have here an intelligent combination of traditional Spanish food (paella, many kinds of seafood, chorizo sausage, aubergines… ) And all-time favourite handmade gourmet burgers and pasta for the younger crowd.

With no doubt they were some of the best tapas I've ever had! Simply exceptional. Service could've been better though and we left that they should've taken more care to follow the social distancing guidelines. All in all it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back.

Understaffed so wait for our booked table was 30 mins then waited a long time For menus and drinks orders then the food came and was not fresh - oysters were frozen. Not a very nice experience

Overall a huge disappointment, a group of my friends and I were looking forward to this meal. Unfortunately we were continuously disappointed by the food and service of staff. The food was made with poor quality of ingredients, the tapas dishes were mostly over/under cooked, some dishes were not made with the intention of sharing (as you would expect them to be in tapas). After we aired a concern with the paella in particular, the waitress could not understand us and preceded to get her manager who simply told us that we were wrong and the food was perfect. She refused to even fathom the idea that it was not perfect and certainly not fresh as the smell alone was appalling. The guitarist was wonderful however and added a beautifully authentic atmosphere to the restaurant that was unfortunately let down by the food and staff courtesy. I am sad to say that i will not be recommending this restaurant and will be sure to never return myself.

El Metro is a fantastic place to go t and I have been going to it on and off over 7 years. Service is always excellent, Candelaria, who is in front of house, is always welcoming and efficient. Love going there.
