Everything was wonderful. Unusual menu items. Only problem was the noise level
Our waitress Heather made our birthday dinner so special. We had a wonderful time, the view was great, and even though it was cold we were able to go out on the patio for a few minutes to enjoy it. And of course the food and drinks were delicious!
Very friendly staff and amazing food!! Great date night :)
Very nice place
We’ll be back!
Love this place. Great atmosphere. All of the El Five staff are incredible and the view is incomparable. The food is some of the best and most inventive in Denver. I will be back many times!
My wife and I just had a baby boy,
A bit over- hyped. Food was pretty good but some issues like dishes missing key ingredients, some tapas were lukewarm etc. I don’t think we’ll be back.
Had a delightful experience - the views are amazing! Jack was so obliging and attentive. Thank you for a very special evening in a beautiful city with gorgeous views.
The service was outstanding. Several employees came to our table throughout the night and acknowledged my fiance's birthday and future mother-in-law being in town. I informed them of this in my reservation note. The food was delicious. We ordered smoked burrata, Mediterranean sea bass, Moroccan lamb sausage and a small order of the Valencian paella. The Moroccan lamb sausage was probably our favorite, but would have been great if it came with some small pita bites to get the remaining hummus. We ended up forking it because it was so delicious. The paella was good but salty. We also shared the sangria which was sweet and fruity but not overly sweet. Balanced well with the salty foods. The portions may be more appropriate for 2. We had a table by the window which had great views. My seat had a view facing the mountains as well as the city. We were able to catch the end of the sunset which is always stunning over the mountains. We will probably come again for a date night.
Also, it seemed the majority of the menu was gluten free so great for anyone with Celiac disease!
Food is overwhelmingly good, every time we go; it's our favorite place to go to in the city, and we never pass up an opportunity to go. This time though, the service was a little off, as typically the Tapas plates are spaced out, time wise, but we received our first, finished that, waited and then all three remaining dishes came out together. Please note this did not diminish the meal OR our experience, AND this was out of the norm for El Five. Just this time was a little off, that's all. Yes, we will absolutely be back.
Great place. Loved the view. but mainly loved Kelly. She was perfect. Knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating.
Absolutely delicious food and a great view of Denver!
I asked for a quiet table and we were given a table in the main part of the restaurant- it was very hard for my father in law to hear us. But the food and service was great besides that.
Delicious food, fantastic views, and great service. We had a birthday and they took great care of us. Will definitely be back.
El Five is a wonderful spot. The view is sensational, and the food is stellar. I wish they had more of the same kind of dishes but more veggies... Thanks El Five!
Incredible food and drinks. Can't wait to go back!
Like always brunch was delicious and the French toast was amazing so the drinks
I loved the scenery and feel of this place – definitely was a great choice for a date night!
The food and drinks were wonderful! Service was extremely slow, and at the end the bill was done incorrectly.
The small size makes this exclusive, hard to get a table and they limit to 2 hours. Food is creative, beautiful, delicious. Service was better than good. View is fantastic!
Best spot in Denver! Great food and incredible views. I always bring visiting friends and family here!
Brunch was fantastic! Definitely not something we'd do every week, but it was well worth the splurge for a special occasion.
We had reservations for New Years Eve and we’re not seated for half an hour past our reserved time. Once we sat down our server informed us that the restaurant was out of one of the main dishes. He did not do any kind of introduction to the menu or attempt to build a rapport with us; he walked up, asked if we had decided on all of our selections, and that was it. We dined at Linger last NYE and had a completely different (wonderful) experience. We felt the servers and staff at El Five were not at all prepared for this NYE crowd and unfortunately we will not be returning ever again. We paid an exorbitant amount of money for this meal; all main dishes should have been available. We were very underwhelmed by the desserts as well. We are not picky diners and rarely leave reviews; we’re also normally happy to pay a higher price for dinner on NYE, but at the end of this evening we felt ripped off. At the very least our drinks at the bar while we waited should have been comped and, again, all the food should have been available and quite frankly mouth-wateringly delicious, which is was not.
We had high hopes but won’t even give this a second chance.
We had an amazing experience and it was a great place to celebrate the New Year! Food was art on a plate and absolutely perfect! Loved the Sober Creation drink options available. Server was knowledgeable and the atmosphere was very contemporary, pop yet cozy. We will be back!
This was a great restaurant for New Years Eve. Food was great!
Beautiful views, delicious food & drinks with memorable, excellent service!! Only suggestion is expansion of the beer options.
El Five lives up to its reputation. The seafood paella was wonderful and the restaurant boasts some of the best views in the city.
I was disappointed because I had out of town guests and wanted them to see the view, so I asked for a view table in the main area, but did not receive it. The hostess was kind enough to relocate us to the best available table, but it wasn't the experience I wanted our guests to have
Been trying to get reservations here for a while now. Highly recommend as it’s probably the best food and service I’ve ever experienced. Can’t wait to return.
Everything was great!
The food, drinks, and service were all absolutely amazing. If I'm ever in the Denver area again, I will definitely be returning!!
A must visit restaurant with its creative take on tapas and Mediterranean cuisine.
Love the intimate, but modern warmth of this small restaurant in the Highlands. Since it's located on the 5th Floor of a small building, you are afforded great downtown views. The food is stellar and reasonably priced for a fine dining establishment. We arrived at 5:30 for an early dinner. Service seemed a bit slow in between tapas/dishes, but not sure if that was intentional or perhaps they were just busy. But don't miss this cozy neighborhood gem!
Small spot with the right amount of tables that has an outdoor patio which will be great during the summer and fall months. Low lighting that I feel adds to the ambiance and lower levels of conversation volume. Flavors were amazing, service was amazing, drinks were unique but the depth of flavor was great. I would highly recommend this place to someone for a date night or even a small group.
Great food, great drinks. The only complaint would be the service. We didn’t get sat until 45 minutes after our reservation time, and there were no apologies.
The view of downtown Denver is pretty cool, and the atmosphere is cool and comfortable.
Food and service upstairs was great!! Blonde male host on the bottom floor seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder and was not the friendliest..
Great, tasty tapas selection. Sangria and margaritas were great too!
Fabulous evening all around-highly recommend for any occasion-will be back!
Our Christmas Eve tradition in recent years has been to have dinner at El Five. We've been on other occasions too, of course, but Christmas Eve is locked in. Our experience this year was as perfect as all previous visits - not a single aspect of quality had diminished - the food was delicious, masterfully balanced and beautifully presented. The staff seemed genuinely glad to be there and to see everyone. Every staff person with whom we exchanged eye-contact was friendly and greeted us verbally. Allergy concerns were, as always, carefully regarded by our server - a server whom we always request, as she is personable, diligent, and kind. The tapas were so delicious were endangered our appetites for . . . Paella, perfect. Although busy, the sound in the space was well-managed with a vibe of soothing momentum. Who has time or interest for long reviews? Suffice it to say El Five was incomparably delicious.
