We had a good time and our food was good.
Seemed liked they may have been slightly short handed so service wasn’t quite as good as usual. Still we loved it.
The worst Eggs Benedict I have ever had!!! Cold dry muffin, over done eggs, just terrible!
I am very sorry to read this review, I have no idea what happened, I would like an opportunity to make it right. Please email me at Willie@Eight4nine.comm
One of my favorite places to take out of town guests. We had a great brunch and ran into other friends who were also branching.
Our waiter was fabulous and is a very hard worker and has a exception personality. Well don! All the people attached to the wait staff seemed to be hustlers a d got the food our fast!
First time there. Bread plates no bread. Was surprised since there were salads and eggs. Why bread plates if no bread??
We are both particular about our eggs Benedict. We ordered, the waitress couldn’t have been more understanding, and both orders came out just as we had ordered.......Wonderful & kudos to the food and waitstaff......
We dine at Eight4Nine often. Very creative space, attentive servers, decent wine list and cocktail menu, and good food. The prix fixe menu makes ordering a three course meal easy.
Great place for any occasion
Disappointing, especially given previous experiences on this restaurant. No longer a top tier place.
Entree salads were carelessly prepared. Greens wet and wilted.
Fig toast appetizer was obviously prepared well in advance and refrigerated so it’s ingredients were all cold.
Carrot-ginger soup was good.
Staff were friendly enough but confused. First courses delivered far apart
This is a big restaurant that absorbs noise well.
I had my favorite corn and crab chowder as I always do as a starter. Both I and my guest had marvelous lunches and he loved the decor, service, etc. 849 is my go to place when I have out of town visitors.
Exceptional service. Consistent quality. Always a pleasurable experience.
This is the second time we've been to Eight4Nine - and both times it's been wonderful! The food is great, the decor is whimsical and amusing, and the staff is outstanding!
Remarkable! What a dinning experience should be. Each dish in the four coarse spoke for itself. The staff even accomodated us by changing our reservation times last minute. The facility was hopping given the film festival was in full swing. We intend to return for dinner again in the future.
Food good to above
Loved the art photos and layout for different areas. Food was excellent. It was recommended we try the “s’mores” dessert & it didn’t disappoint.
We enjoy this place so much, very energetic and lively. The service is wonderful and food is always amazing. Love the purse hooks so I don’t have to put my purse on the floor. Definitely a must if you’re in town on vacation.
Wonderful food, service and attentive! Suggest a reservation! A terrific experience!
Price point for NYE was a bit excessive given the quantity of food.
Overcooked steak and tough. Unimpressed and not worth the money
Been several times before with better food and service which was why we picked 849.
I think the NYE fixed price menu was vastly over priced for the food quality and service given on that evening. It will definitely not be a choice for special occasion again.
We found it odd they would automatically add the gratuity for a table of 2.
I have eaten here twice. Both meals were great. The noise level was tolerable, meaning conversation was not limited. I will return!
Good food and service. Not too noisy.
Service was great and food delicious
Always nice to come here
Great. Love everything about this place
Everything about brunch was average (at best). Eight4Nine used to be one of our favorites however, the last few times it was really just fair - food, service and customer experience all mediocre. The space also really needs to be refreshed. So many other better places to go now in Palm Springs.
We did not know there would be a fixed Christmas menu, it was a little pricey but it was good
Loved the Beautiful decor and modern Christmas decorations. Christmas dinner: Excellent turkey dinner and prime rib. Great service staff. Felt a little bit rushed but think it was because the restaurant was so busy. Wished we asked to move to a different table right away as we got the table at the back door and I was facing the wall and the service door. Small details but important to us: had to ask for the candle to be lit and we were the only table without a flower. Drinks at the bar after were good. We’re able to take dessert home as we were pleasantly full. Would come back to the bar and in the center of the main area.
We went there for Christmas dinner with friends. I can't believe we were able to get reservations. Granted we made them almost a month out but our friends said it may be too late.
We were seated as soon as we got there. Water was offered as were other beverages. The wait staff was very busy. It was a controlled chaos. All of us were amazed at how effortless they made it look. Our server was incredible. She answered some pretty detailed questions about the dinner.
Our appetizer, was small but had amazing flavor and texture. The salad of mix green was dressed perfectly. My entree was the Prime Rib. It was cooked to perfection. It was well seasoned. My only meh moment was the horseradish cream. It lacked the punch of horseradish that I crave. I asked for "real" horseradish" and was given a small ramekin of the real stuff. It knocked my socks off. The dessert of lime pie was a great choice. It was tart enough for you to know it's lime but sweet enough to get your attention. The crust was perfect, not too thin and not too thick. It had a nice crack when you bit into it. I'm not even going to go into the martini's we had (Yes multiple) The four course Christmas dinner for only $60.00 per person was so worth it.
Our friends also loved everything they ate.
We hope this will be our new Christmas tradition
Always great service and food. The Valet is outstanding!
Lovely! The food was perfect! We had several people assisting our waiter so that everything flowed just right! Excellent cocktails! My husband had the “Desert Dessert” and a dirty vodka martini for me with bleu cheese olives. Wonderful meal!
Revisited 849 for our second Christmas Lunch and will probably visit again next December 25. Lovely ambience; polite, knowledgeable staff and delicious food.
Christmas Day dinner was festive and fun. We all had the traditional turkey dinner.
The bar tender was incredibly engaging. She made a delicious cocktail. Wait staff was very attentive. I ordered the beef tenderloin and it was fantastic.
The most delightful restaurant/bar in PalmSprings. Dedicated owners with their amazing staff. Food great.....value for money. Martinis to die for. Ambiance....true Palm Springs
Friendly service. Seated in the main dining area. It’s narrow and unbearably loud. Constant traffic of servers and diners was distracting. All hard surfaces amplified sound. Food was better than average. Portions of sides included were huge. Overall at $48 for a 3 course was decent value.
Christmas Eve dinner was lovely, did the four course prix fix and it was very good.
We came up from Michigan to visit Palm Springs and celebrate my husband‘s birthday. This restaurant was on our bucket list.
It did not disappoint. The ambience… The lovely splashes of hot pink against all of the white… Amazing!
The food was delicious. I have never had lobster mac & cheese that was as indulgent with the lobster perfectly cooked.
The surprise birthday dessert topped off the night!
