Nice service. Good food. Great ambiance.
Such a great experience!! The food was amazing but the service was even better..
Awesome dinner- great music and staff was friendly and attentive
A great find. The fish was delicious. The ambiance was inviting even with the restaurant being located at The International Market Place. You felt like you were outside. The service was good as well. The live music was a welcome surprise with a very talented musician. I would go back.
Kimberly and wait help were excellent. We love TABLE 43 and its location. We also enjoyed the male singer. This has been our six visit this year to Eating House.
We love the food, ambiance and service. Mahalo!
Great service, great drinks, and great food. Laid back vibes but not laid back food. The food was beautifully presented and was absolutely tasty. The service was outstanding too
Ordered hamburger medium and it came out well-done. Also the hamburger patty was under seasoned
ribeye steak done well but sides were not good....fried potatoes and corn were dry and appeared to have been cooked ahead of time or overcooked
butterfish was tasty but portion small compared to the $48 cost of entree
had same dish at Hawaii Kai roy's and portion much bigger
servers were pleasant but kept filling the small water glass to overflow and excess dripped onto my pants (happened 3 times, luckily pants dried quickly)
had to wait until requested salt was brought (delay to eating steak)
sighhhh. total experience not the best. we have eaten here twice before and the Hawaii Kai location many times
Lovely meal with my husband while vacationing in Honolulu. Service was outstanding.
Nothing to write home about. One step above a Cheesecake Factory
Two appetizers and a salad were plenty for us (2 people) cockatiels were underwhelming.
Food was great, highly recommend the bao buns!
Great food and atmosphere and the old fashion is a must have
If you are willing to eat early, the dinner special is amazing and so worth the price. Our Mahi mahi and the 3 appetizers were amazing, and we usually never order dessert but so happy we got to try it!!!
Very pleasant and friendly service. Beautiful setting with plenty of space between tables.
Perfect in all ways
Always wonderful for our entire family and staff Louis was really attentive. Thank you
The happy hour and date night pre fix meals are great values!
FANTASTIC SERVICE AND FLAVORFUL FOOD AND VARIETY, WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK
Mediocre food and expensive price.
Great find...superb service and excellent food. Mahi with red pepper curry sauce was amazing. Great drinks as well...Bourbon fans, try the Black Tea Old Fashion.
We had a very good experience at this restaurant, the food during happy hour was satisfying and priced well. We ordered two of the daily specials, but didn’t realize that it would be so much that we only ate one and brought the other home.
Nice outdoor seating. Excellent service. Delicious food. Chocolate soufflé excellent desert!
We always have the most wonderful meal at Eating House 1849, and when we are not able to get reservations, do takeout. While we generally always get a fish entree, poke, and brussel sprouts, we had been wanting to try the Tuesday Deep Sea Taco: seared ahi, fried kampachi and miso cod, and it was fantastic. We also tried the half roaster chicken. It was so moist and flavorful and came with potatoes and corn. As usual, due to generous portions, we had enough food to take home for the next day. Eating house is always trying new things and their menu is so extensive and diverse, so we like to bring friends and family. We have been fortunate to have had Kimmie the last few times, and she always makes us feel like family. Manager Dwayne also stopped by to make sure we were well taken care of. We always enjoy and recommend all of the Roy restaurants. We've already made our holiday reservations, as they fill up fast.
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and my request for “happy anniversary” on the dessert plate. My girlfriend loved it!! Great service and we will be back!
Just Excellent, I can't imagine why anyone would give them less than 5 stars, couldn't ask for more
First time diner at Eating House. Very impressed with Roy’s outstanding customer service, attention, attitude and staff teamwork From Hostess Hanna, Bartender Audrey and Manager McKenna, it was an all hands on deck approach as I chilled during Happy Hour at the 1849 bar and watched the restaurant get down to business on a busy Saturday evening. Recommend the Kushi oysters if you like the raw stuff. Their burger is also a delicious deal. This joint is now one of my go to spots when visiting Waikiki!!
Food was very good and tasty, cook to perfection. I would highly recommend the experience and the quality for the price was exceptional. The service and atomsphere was also good, very plesant and nice.
Food was basic. Ramen was tasteless. Drinks were watered down and sweet. Apps were mass produced.
Standard experience at a very expensive restaurant. Food was very good, but service was just okay, as was the vibe in the place. Nothing warm or special about the ambiance. Of course it is attached to the International Marketplace. As is often the case, the hostess attempted to seat us (two men) at the worst table tucked into the back room of the place. I asked to get a table outside where we could hear the music and enjoy what ever ambiance there was. She graciously brought us to that type of table. Why is it hostesses assume two guys dining out don’t care where they sit? News- we do! Especially in high-priced places. Overall ok experience, but not a great value.
The food was exceptional and chefs were accommodating to a slight change in my main meal.
Noah Auld our server was great. His suggestions for the appetizer was very helpful. And dessert is always good
We saved this restaurant as the last one to try in our month long stay on Oahu. Was not disappointed. The service was outstanding and unobtrusive. The food was an excellent blend of western Hawaiian Asian fusion. The bao was superb. As was the fish. Very fresh. So too we’re the oysters. I recommend this restaurant.
Four of us ordered happy hour small plates: ribs, chicken, sushi, Brussels sprouts, and spring rolls. Everything was wonderful. Only one star removed because we were first and only customers and were seated at a table with blinding sun in my eyes. We asked to be moved and it was a major request. We were moved and all was well. We were quite the novelty as we ordered 2 of each plate. Our table had a lot of food! We will definitely be back.
We are on a honeymoon. It was a recommendation. The food was delicious, we had several small plates & shared. Our only complaint was that the second round of drinks took forever. My original drink which was a speciality cocktail was literally two sips. She said the second would be a stronger pour- not a chance. And it took 15 minutes longer to bring my husbands vodka on the rocks. The bar wasn’t busy, the restaurant wasn’t crowded at this time later in the evening so it was a little frustrating, in fact the drinks came when we done with dinner. Otherwise the food was great.
We were a party of 4, each had something different from a different section on the menu, each dish was prepared very well, the fish was moist and fresh, the chicken burger with pork belly was excellent, even when I ate it for lunch the next day. The paella was perfect.
The service was very attentive without being intrusive.
The hotel I am staying at has a discount with several restaurants, it is during a pandemic, so we had a slight discount that made it very nice.
The manager was very happy to help us, and suggested that we come back on Wed for the Wed Special. I made another reservation last night.
Amazing dinner and service... made my birthday perfect!
Delicious food in an open, airy setting!
My sister & I came to celebrate our birthdays - food was excellent!
It was a wonderful evening with great food, amazing service and live entertainment. We took advantage of the "Date Night" special and it was even better than imagined.
