Le Eating House 1849 rend hommage au patrimoine culinaire animé de Hawaii avec un clin d'œil aux restaurateurs tels que Peter Fernandez qui, selon ce qu'on raconte, a ouvert un des premiers restaurants à Hawaii vers le milieu des années 1800s, l'appela The Eating House et puisait ses ressources de ce que pouvaient lui offrir les agriculteurs, les éleveurs, les glaneurs et les pêcheurs locaux.     Great time! We took out of towners for their anniversary. It was extra special because they had a cute little chalkboard sign at the table that said, “Congrats” in addition to a nice dessert with “Happy Anniversary” Our server Sage was excellent, very easy to talk to and friendly. Food was also delicious, quality and interesting Pacific Rim style. We enjoyed it so much that we will be returning with the family this coming weekend for an early Mother’s Day Celebration!!

    Food delicious!! Service at our table excellent!! The issue was at check in. The male host could not have been more disinterested in taking us to our table. He never greeted us or created any conversation with us as he took us to our table. What a strange introduction to an otherwise great experience.

    We had the kampachi thai curry style. Excellent, moist and flavorful. Cocktails were good, we sat at the bar and the service was outstanding. We have dinner here frequently.

    Had high expectations because of Roy Yamaguchi's reputation but was wrong in the assumption. Variety of food selections was lacking, types of fish offered were mediocre (swordfish?!?), appetizers were uninspired- had the pork & crab pillows - basically gau gee & crab was undetectable, Mongolian BBQ ribs were dry & too salty, poke didn't taste very fresh. Shrimp in the paella was overcooked, chewy. Everything was overpriced for the quality of food. Was such a major disappointment, won't patronize again.

    Wonderful Birthday Celebration! Decided to eat at the bar and received the best service ever! The lady and gentleman servers were amazing! Both very kind, fun, and treated us like we were guests in their own homes! Thank you so very much!
