As a local, we hardly eat in Waikiki...but our friend from Seattle wanted to sample local foods. Everything was great...the food was really delicious, although we were disappointed in the small poi (was very grainy) served with the pipikaula...didn't actually represent a good sample of poi. Other than that small item, all the dishes we ate were very good. Serve was excellent, even when we had sort of outstayed our welcome. We were there from 5 - 7:30pm, still the servers were very hospitable. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family...Good job to all...!!!
Great spot - great food. We had a table that was on teh end and we kinda felt like we were in teh parking garage, but other than that it was great
The ambiance was the perfect outdoor, after work setting. The vibe was chill and relaxing and the service was excellent - professional and friendly. We were unexpectedly treated to live music that evening and the singer was fantastic! Thank you for a great experience! We will definitely be back and tell friends to go to Eating House!
Waitress had excellent food recommendations, service was attentive and not rushed. Great Hawaiian food, would return
Average bland food and average service. Is next door to a car parking building so was quite noisy
We stuck to appetizers and salads and had a terrific meal with the help of our server who sequenced the dishes perfectly
The small plates recommended by the server were good choices: ribs, wings and calmari. He also recommended the burger and the grilled cheese. We chose otherwise, since we were in a seafood mood. The donburi with salmon and pork belly were deemed “okay” by my wife; however, the donburi included a few tasty morsels of veggies (pickled red cabbage, lentils, mushroom and others) lining the periphery of the bowl, which made the dish more interesting and tasty for me after I’d scarfed the down the delicious and crispy grilled salmon.
Porciones pequeñas. Nada extraordinario en los sabores y presentación. Mal servicio. Se tardan mucho en servir los alimentos. Muy caro para lo que es.
We've had dinner at Eating House several times and the staff is always friendly and courteous. The outdoor atmosphere, food and entertainment are very enjoyable.
We ordered broccoli and cauliflower app - it was very very greasy. They we out of Brie app - clams were good. Calamari was tough. Overall not impressed by what we thought was a high quality restaurant.
Roy’s quality food and drink at a mall/market setting. We visited when the store first opened and we returned this trip. We will be back!
Food took a very long time to come out. Pork hash was so tough to eat. So dense that I thought I was gonna choke on it. It was awful. Also make sure to ask about all the ingredients on food items. We ordered a bacon avocado salad and only 3 ingredients were listed however it came with all sorts of items including feta cheese. If i would if known I would of asked for it to be left off. We enjoyed it when this place first opened and feel like it has just gone downhill over the years.
Enjoyed the dinner - the family style dishes were great to share with a large group. Porterhouse steak was very good, as were the scallops. Wish the portions were a little larger for the prices we paid, but overall it was a good place to dine with friends visiting from out of town.
Service was well intended but very slow - we had reservations and waited 15 minutes to be seated. After being seated, we waited 10 minutes for a server to welcome us and take our order. We then waited 20 minutes to get our drinks (our appetizers arrived before our drinks), and then we waited 15 minutes from when our appetizers were cleared before our entrees arrived. Plus, they forgot to bring the kids’ appetizers, so they waited almost 30 minutes from the time we ordered to
food. The waiter camp’s is our drinks, but it was a long night. Perhaps they were short staffed because it was New Year’s Day.
Impeccable service, good menu selection, with decent sized portions
Our server was excellent. The food taste and presentation was fantastic. Would go again.
Great experience! The staff was wonderful and made our New Year’s Eve dinner a great one!
Thank you to the staff!
A delish eve, couldn't stop telling friends/family about how wonderful everything was.
Nice place to eat with good food. Best to go to parking on third floor by the restaurant.
Good service. Paella over priced and tasteless.
Waiters are good. Scallop is really good. Brussel sprout and cauliflower are amazing.
Good was very good. Menu is too limited and needs expansion. Not having bleu cheese as a salad dressing option for their creative salads is a mistake.
We thought it was a great dinning experience.
We went to have lunch on a rainy Christmas Day. Menu selections are limited. Open air seating is not the best thing to have on a rainy, windy day, either. Our table was right on the edge of the restaurant so luckily the wind was blowing away from us. If it wasn’t, we would have gotten a little damp. I ordered the hoi sin rib appetizer. Tender but wow, heavy on the hoi sin sauce, making it much too sweet for me. Hubby had the pork belly donburi. We were surprised that it was just an egg easy over on a bed of rice with three or four pieces of pork belly on the side. It was tasty but not what we were expecting. Service was good.
Super Nice Restaurant with one of the best service in Town
No bread here. If you ask, you get a tiny bun for $0.50. You get edamame. Not enough for a hungry person waiting for food. Fish is two small pieces. Nothing special about paella and wrong type of rice, mushy.
Food was awesome and their thoughtfulness towards the kids was on point, they even brought the kids a pre dinner snack before their dinner showed up!
Menu is great, with options from meat to fish. The Spicy Noodle is a specialty and the Wine List offers good options too. Service is attentive, professional and friendly.
The Steak, Whole Snapper fish, Noodles with Prawns and Calamari was delicious! but I don't think the "chicken adobo" has the right taste of so called "ADOBO" sorry Chef!
We will come back!
Made a for a wedding anniversary. Very good ambiance. Food was exquisite. Service was excellent.
We always enjoy going to Roy Yamaguchi’s restaurants. Their food is always delicious!
Good taste for turkey and beer. Aditionally, all of stuff were kind.
Thanks for coming!
We enjoyed a delightful early evening (5:00pm) Thanksgiving dinner at the Eating House. Kimmie A. was our charming waitress. She carefully explained dish preparations and was patient with us as we selected from the regular and the holiday menus. Bryson was her efficient assistant, and he never let my coffee cup run dry! I chose the turkey dinner, starting with the corn chowder and finishing with a nice sweet potato creation for dessert. My wife opted for the pipikalau as an appetizer and butterfish over risotto for her entrée. We were both thrilled with our choices. A guitarist set up and performed quietly as we were leaving. The location on the third level of the International Marketplace is convenient for both vehicle and pedestrian approach. We loved the Polynesian entertainment outside in the atrium afterward, which was simple a coincidental happenstance for us.he Eating House is highly recommended for both cuisine and service!!
Thank you for your review Bobby! Come see us again!
The food wasn’t very good. Good potions and great service but the food wasn’t good
Aloha Reisek, Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your meal with us. I sent you a private message in hopes we can fix what went wrong with your experience.
Took advantage of Restaurant Week menu. We really enjoyed the Pork Chop and Shortrib/Tripe entrees.
