Our server Timmy was fabulous. Enjoyed his attitude as much as the food. Everything was exceptional.
Service was slow and the food was mediocre at best. This restaurant and Spago are the two worst dining experiences in Wailea. It’s funny how both bad restaurants are in the four seasons
This rating is only for Tuesdays at the Four Seasons Duo. Tuesdays is the all you can eat raw bar at Duo Wailea Maui. The price might be a bit expensive ($95 per person). But I promise, it is worth it if you like seafood! Meal includes a starter, soup or salad, raw seafood bar (king crab, lobster, oysters, sushi, poke...), bottomless fries & ends with fresh cotton candy! And of course, the service & views are top notch!
Absolutely delicious food. Service was excellent. Ambience was beautiful. A little pricey but very well worth it. My husband and I had one of the best dinners in Maui there.
We’ve been in Maui for a week and we have been to Duos a few times for dinner. We can recommend the wedge salad, Maui onion soup, and seared diver scallops. The 10oz filet and the Mary’s organic chicken are superb. The steak is tender and the chicken is soft and juicy. The mahi mahi is fresh, light and delicious. Recommendations for dessert are the soufflé and plain peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. I would recommend improving the wine selection and pricing.
The servers Shane, Bo, and Ron are always polite and focused on customer service.
We were told by our waiter at another local place that the food was excellent at Duo so we were glad to have reservations. We were quickly seated at or reservation time.
We both ordered NY Strip steaks and asparagus and potatoes four our sides. I had a Caeser salad.
Everything was delicious and the steaks perfectly prepared and seasoned.
We had a nice Frank Family Cabernet whick was a perfect choice
We recommend this restaurant
The host tried to put us at the back of the restaurant despite it being almost completely empty. My steak was completely over cooked and the waiter did not check back for some time and after waiting I didn’t want to wait for another steak. For the prices it was not what we expected. Disappointed.
Our waiter, Chad, was incredible! Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made our dining experience exquisite.
Our server, Ron, was outstanding and a delight
Great service and good food! Staff is always smiling and love their job
This was our third trip to DUO and this was the best yet. Whatever did did, keep it up. We will be back.
Came to Duo for our 1 year anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. We shared a wedge salad which was very delicious with papaya dressing in place of the blue cheese and we each had the 12 oz rib eye. The steak was phenomenal!! Super tender and a awesome taste. Great service and nice atmosphere. Thanks again
We love DUO. Shane, our waiter was awesome. He was friendly, attentive and informative. The ambiance could not be better. The hotel is simply beautiful. The flower arrangements are spectacular. We always look forward to dining at DUO. It has our favorite Raw Bar. Thank you all for another memorable dining experience.
Duo was not the quality I’m use to in a steak house, very limited in their menu, I did not enjoy my steak. My daughter returned her meal due to a very salty curry dish. I would not return.
Great birthday dinner for the hubby. Excellent service, good food and great overall experience.
Overall good, but not as excellent as it used to be.
This was our first visit to Duo. We usually go to Spago upstairs. The service was excellent, although it did take a very long time after our appetizer to get our entree. We split a wedge salad, which was probably the best wedge salad we've ever had (excellent blue cheese dressing). We ordered the whole fish special for two people, which the waiter enthusiastically recommended, but we were disappointed. While the mushroom and bok chow mixture underneath the fish was immensely flavorful, the green papaya salad that was stuffed inside the fish had virtually no flavor. It seemed undressed and had no spice in it whatsoever (I know they catering to haoles, but we can take it--a little bit of spice was really needed). But most disappointing of all, the fish was dry. I don't know if we got it on a bad night or if this particular one was just overdone. We had ordered a side of lobster mac and cheese, which turned out to be way too much food. We took it home and warmed it up the next day and it was really wonderful. We'll try again, but won't order the whole fish special.
The food was delicious, and our server Maria was exceptional.
It was Maria that made the whole wonderful dinner experience amazing.
Duo Steak and Seafood is located in the Four Seasons Hotel in Wailea, Maui. It is one of three signature restaurants on the property. It is the only one without an ocean view as it is on the ground level next to a pool and cabanas and partially behind some shrubbery. The large fountain is nearby and is spectacular at night. Duo is outstanding in every other way. The menu is heavy on steak and seafood dishes as their name attests. The ribeye steak was outstanding. The service was first rate and Ron, our waiter, did an excellent job as he was attentive without being obtrusive. The prices are moderate to high for Wagyu, but are inline for an upscale hotel like the Four Seasons. Wednesday is also "burger night" and most guests who ordered one of those spectacular burgers left with a doggie bag. The wine prices are moderately high, of course, but nothing like the prices in Cabo. I would defintely recommend you give Duo a try. We will be going back.
We showed up around 8 o’clock (we’re staying at the Four Seasons and celebrating our honeymoon) and were turned away and told there were no seats available for the night and the hostess was extremely rude. We found that very interesting since half the restaurant was empty and there were about 10 reservations available on Open Table, so we booked it for 8:15. We went back to the restaurant and a few people were asking to sit, and for some reason the hostess was fine with giving them a seat, but not us. After checking in at 8:15 we weren’t seated until 9 pm. The food was decent and the waiter, Timmy was very nice.
Everything from the food, service, and ambiance were great. Highly recommend Duo to anyone in Maui!
Waiter was amazing! Food was well-seasoned, exquisitely prepared, and delicious. It's at the Four Seasons hotel, so price is going to be higher as a result, but all in all feel it was worth it.
The food was not flavorful. Over priced for the quality of food.
Everything was delicious. The filet mignon was so tender. Best I have had
Regular food and pricy for nothing special. What to tell about wines? Very expensive and after the first glass, we had to serve it to ourself. No waiter available for that. We did an extensive research before going there but it didn’t help. Be careful with the stars in internet.
The food was delicious
Very poor service, waiter was drinking with another table, food was good but service was non existent
The service was incredible. The food....not so much. I had the 35 day dry aged ribeye. It left much to be desired. It didn’t really have the dry age flavor I was expected it to have. Tasted much like any other steak. My girlfriend had the filet which was prepared perfectly and had great flavor. Asparagus was great but the corn was just so so. Still just wasn’t worth the money for that dry aged rib eye.
Food and place are very good. We enjoy the meat and dessert.Maria our waitress transform our experience and made it outstanding! She was caring, thoughtful and when ask, provided good feedback to guide us. She is a gem!
Food and service are great but I would have expected a different setting for a steakhouse. You feel like you are eating in a breakfast place while paying big prices for steaks. I’m guessing this is where FS has morning food service as well?
I have great experience visiting steakhouses in the word. It was the worst.
Excellent service. Catered easily to a gluten and dairy free restriction. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
One word: PHENOMENAL!!!
Menu has something for everyone, and the food and service are consistently excellent.
The food was very good and our server was outstanding. Honestly the best server we have ever had. So entertaining and energetic. Timmy was his name. A little on the pricey compared to other restaurants of similar quality.
Absolutely and easily one of the best restaurants I've been to. Food was incredible, our waiter Nicholas was awesome, manager visited the tables which was great and it was just a great and peaceful ambiance. Cannot wait to visit again. Magnificent!
A little bit slow service. The food is good.
Hands down my favorite restaurant my husband and I went to during our baby moon! From the great menu options, a kids buffet, and the wonderful service we received from Ron, I highly suggest you go!
Thank you again Ron for your wonderful sense of humor, amazing service, and free dessert for the congrats on our baby! We will definitely be back and make sure we sit in your section again!
Loud children all around. The Raw Bar was OK - but not nearly worth $95
