We had an evolving group of people coming at various times, and they were absolutely fantastic! Servers are great, the food exceptional, the atmosphere perfect
The food was absolutely delicious!
We love Duo. We made a special effort to have takeout from them throughout the Pandemic. Denver without Duo would be sad. They have done a great job with making us feel very safe and their food is just as good as before COVID.
Just a great place! Loved the food, ambiance and service! Highly recommend for brunch or dinner!
We loved the outdoor seating in the greenhouses was neat and intimate. The food was lacking flavor. I ordered the steak and came out very flat and had a lot of sauce on it to the point it was to much. The desert had the most flavor. I had the flowerbeds chocolate cake which was like a big brownie abs had good flavor.
The food is good to excellent. My wife really liked the pork chop dish and the pea pancakes are loaded with shrimp. The decor is casual. But it is the kind of place where they keep changing out your silverware after every course. A gratuity of 22% is automatically added to the bill.
Awesome food and service for years! Great location as well!
The food was amazing! Will definitely go back!
Rachel was right on all night!
We love duos, think they were just short staffed on the night we went. The bartender was our server and we did not see her often. But the hostess helped. I ordered the steak and it was marinated in something so sweet it was hard to eat and that was not explained in the menu. It was great getting out and having a meal during these times so we are still fans.
Bison steak, Lion's Mane mushrooms and Red trout were all very well prepared
and very good. Excellent experience.
Duo has become our neighborhood favorite in lo-hi. The small, but consistent menu is definitely worth trying out!
I actually cannot rate the food or even the service here because we walked out before we ordered.
We'd been wanting to try Duo for years, and we finally made a reservation for Restaurant Week 2021. Restaurant Week is a big event for us and I check each menu out carefully before making my final choices. We specifically chose Duo because they were offering sea bass as one of their choices. Our reservation was for 7 p.m. We were finally seated at nearly 7:30, so were irritated already. We were given a small crudité plate for having to wait so long to be seated.
When we sat down, there was no sea bass on the menu. Instead they were offering red trout, which is not what we wanted. The dessert menu was also different than what was posted on the Restaurant Week menu. When I told the waiter we'd come for the sea bass he said "our menu changes daily depending on what is available that day." There is NOTHING on the restaurant week menu that says this, and there is nothing on Duo's website that says this either.
If a restaurant posts a specific menu on the Restaurant Week list, they need to let people know that the offerings can change daily. We had come specifically for the sea bass, which was not available. We ate the crudités and left. We were both sooooooooooo disappointed that we did not get to eat what we'd been waiting a week for: the sea bass. In many years of Restaurant Weeks and dozens of restaurants we have never had this experience before.
Excellent, attentive service. Entrees were well prepared
Good food, locally sourced, very well prepared, and served with utmost courtesy and style. Also, good wine choices, and excellent cocktail preparations.
Birthday Never been for Brunch only dinner. This was a real treat from bacon and eggs style Bruch restaurants. Great dishes and service and Bloody Mary
Good service, cocktails and ambiance. Food was pretty good, portions on some items small. The vegan risotto dish was cold particularly small. Ran out of some food items, like steak and chocolate dessert. Overall good experience, would try again.
An absolutely wonderful dinner and experience. We came to celebrate a birthday and it was enjoyed so very much by whom we were celebrating. Cannot wait to come back!
Visited for Restaurant Week and fell in love. Looking forward to our next dining experience!
Our food was amazing, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was quaint. We will be back!
The food is always amazing.
One of the best brunches in Denver.
Fabulous food and service!!!
Rachel and food excellent service incredible
We had an incredible time. Riley was probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had. We just felt like we were buddies right from the beginning. The food was incredible (try the pea cakes!) and we couldn’t have asked for anything better.
The food was wonderful and we had a great time!
We hadn't been here in quite sometime; pandemic aside, and to be honest we had forgotten what a good job they do. Bobby took great care of us and everything was prepared to perfection. It will not be so long until our next visit!
While the food was really quite good, the service from beginning to end was abhorrent.
After waiting awhile to be greets we finally stopped the busboy and asked if we could place an order with him.
Sadly h said,”no” and sent the server, Ryan over.
Who then showed up with a “I can’t believe you just did that,” attitude.
...and the wait continued as we struggled to get even a second drink and he blatantly refused to even listen to what we wanted and then sent it out the way he chose. We’d wanted an egg cooked medium instead of runny.
Finally it made and when we got he check and realized they had gone to an auto 22% gratuity on all checks.
While part of me loves the idea of raising prices and paying everyone a living wage, unfortunately it also allows for idiots like Ryan to perpetuate the stereotype.
A simple managerial presence could alleviate the issue.
Thanks for listening.
Came in for brunch and surprisingly my first visit to Duo. Food was great, staff very friendly and you could tell they cared about the protocols around keeping their team and customers safe. Thanks Duo
Duo provided a perfect location for a small celebration, had a table waiting for us that felt appropriately distanced from other tables as a covid precaution. The waiter was friendly, helpful and prompt with taking orders. And the food was delicious!
Very good food. Mini greenhouses for outdoor seating were nice
Small but well crafted brunch menu. Everything was delicious and they had nice sized servings. The food will definitely satisfy you if you’re a foodie and is still accessible to people who aren’t. I would describe it as upscale comfort food.
The staff was friendly and not over-bearing and I enjoyed the aesthetic and small touches around the restaurant that make it feel cozy and homey. This restaurant has a lot of charm and the experience is carried through in the environment, the food, and the staff.
This place is a gem!
TLDR: The staff was extremely accommodating and the food and drinks were wonderful!
Long: One of our party requires a service animal, so we called ahead to see if we could be in a quieter area and along a wall to help him provide service and not get stepped on. The host immediately assured me that wouldn’t be a problem and was able to put us at a larger table with more than enough space to keep the service dog out from under foot. The service was quick and attentive and the food and drinks arrived at a reasonable speed (not too fast or too slow).
As in other reviews, the hush puppies are SO GOOD! 10/10 highly recommend. Our party ordered a good assortment of drinks, apps, and entrees and they were all delicious. The entrees are a decent size, so you could split one or take part home for another meal. Our party ordered one entree apiece and cleared our plates; the food, drink, and atmosphere made for the perfect environment to socialize and graze. We will be back!
Duo has always been a great restaurant....ahead of its time and still providing, organic, local and delicious cuisine that you don't find readily elsewhere. Their food and flavor combinations are unique without being over the top or pushing something that really doesn't work well together. I'm never disappointed with Duo. Great ambience and super positive and helpful service.
First indoor dining experience in over a year. Not every table was full and adequately spaced for covid restrictions. So it was very quiet. Waitstaff was attentive, and knowledgeable. I had the pork with the rhubarb and strawberry compote-it was so tender. Huge portion so I brought 1/2 home. Husband had chicken which was very moist and tender. Also had hush puppies appetizer which was decadent
Lovely place, service was amazing. The brunch menu is a bit light as far as options. With all of that said, I would go again!
Lovely spot for brunch or dinner! Always an enjoyable experience!
I have eaten at Duo over many years and have to say that my most recent experience offered some of the best food I have ever had there. The pea pancakes with shrimp are delectable and of perfect consistencies. The Lion's Mane mushroom entree is unique and delicious. This spring as Denver opens up gradually - you can choose to sit inside at carefully distanced tables, or outside in a cute little greenhouse with plenty of light, privacy, warmth if needed. We ate outside and loved it. Felt like we were visiting our own special restaurant. Thank you, Duo!
Friendly staff food is always excellent fresh and interesting best salads good cocktails it’s my favorite farm to table food
