The stylish neighborhood restaurant is elegant and exciting. It’s the kind of place you want to show off to those who think they know where all the hot spots are in the City!
Duo Restaurant offers a seasonal changing menu with the freshest ingredients available from our local farms. Choose from a selection of appetizers or entrees that will satisfy the biggest meat eaters or the most discerning vegetarians.
The Calamari is the best ever. They make their own and it is fabulous. We also shared radicchio salad and cauliflower appetizers which were all great. We also noticed a gentleman had got the chicken which was sliced in pieces and it looked amazing. Great vibe as well.
The problems began with it taking in excess of 35-40 minutes to get our entrees after placing our order. Then when they did finally come out a request for bison tritip at medium rare came out raw not even rare. The other entree they didn’t substitute potatoes as ordered. The server quickly agreed to get it all corrected. When meals came back out the bison tri had been simply put on grill and was now medium well and tough. The pork ossu buco was now cold with luke warm mashed potatoes this time. The manager then pressured us to let them remake the dishes. We agreed when he assured it would be “right out”. 15 minutes in to this wait they brought a “comped” appetizer of bison tartare — yet we had just returned other food that was not cooked properly. We waited longer than our first set of entrees 45 minutes or more and when back out the bison tri had been placed on grill again after being cooked to get to med rare but due to use of grill again overcooked. When done and they brought bill there was no reduction to our bill even though we waited nearly 2 hours to eat and still had poorly cooked food. In addition they add a 2% kitchen living wage surcharge. Shouldn’t they pay kitchen staff a “living wage” already? We ended up tipping 13% but we typically tip at least 20-25% when having a nice meal. Overall due to cooking issues and how long we waited and no acknowledgement that the meal was poorly done on third time we won’t be back again.
My friend & I only get to be together a couple of times a year. We came early & left late. The server was wonderful. He was patient, & he was attentive when we were ready. The Bison was fabulous!
Our waitress was extremely helpful helping us decide and asked the chef questions for us to clarify. The food was creative and unbelievably delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed a much restorative night out.
A super anniversary dinner!
Our party of three shared three starters - roasted spaghetti squash, duck confit, cavatelli pasta with mushrooms, a bibb/radicchio salad, and grilled red trout. All five dishes were excellent.
Wonderful evening. The food and service never disappoints. One of our favorite places to dine.
I don't like Brussels sprouts or squash, yet the gnudi dish here had me eager for more. Also the pork and lentils I had were sublime. Everything was great.
I have been going to Duo since it's opening. Even with changes in chef and other staff Duo never disappoints.
The best trout I have had in Denver. Fabulous roasted cauliflower and calamari. Excellent meal overall.
We lucked into the Tuesday Chicken Dinner for two. Perfectly cooked, light, not greasy. I'm not a gravy person, but their chicken gravy was delicious on the mashed potatoes.
Brunch was amazing. The best!!
Dinner with young adult son + girlfriend. Bartender/host/waiter was great. Provided excellent advice on the bar and food selections. Bison tartare is not to be missed
Everything was wonderful as usual until we got the bill. Duo has decided to add a 2% kitchen livable wage surcharge that is added to the bill and then taxed again in the sales tax. I find it hard to believe that Duo is not able to pay their kitchen staff a livable wage with their $20(average price) entrees. Perhaps they should raise the price of their entrees by 2%. This would help not only the kitchen staff but also the weight staff. I do not like being taxed on taxes and consider the 2% surcharge part of the tip. For this reason I subtracted 2% pus the amount I was charged in tax from the my server’s tip. I do not plan to eat at Duo again until the Surcharge is removed and plan to warn all my friends to be prepared to be double taxed if they choose to eat at Duo.
Brunch was very good, the food was creative and delicious. But noise level on a Sunday morning was high, and waitress brought bill before asking if we would like anything else like coffee or pastries.
Interesting menu with thoughtful takes on more typical brunch items. Each of our dishes were good but not great, but in a way that may be a good thing for brunch. A typical brunch is loaded with fat on fat with a side of sweet, whereas Duo had balanced dishes, such as a vinegar component to the eggs on confit mushrooms.
As usual, the food, service, and ambiance are perfect at this neighborhood gem.
Wonderful meal in a relaxed environment with spot on service. The bison tartare is a must as an appetizer! Great cocktails, interesting wine list and delicious food
Date night at Duo. Dinner was fantastic, service is always wonderful, consistently have a great evening when we choose Duo.
Awesome place for brunch in a tucked away Denver neighborhood. The staff was top notch.
Amazing in all aspects......as always! From terrific, creative food, to personal & informative service that's all about the customer, to wonderful ambiance. You can't ask for a more perfectly balanced and comfortable dining experience. We come back again and again!
Good service wonderful menu and great preparation
We really enjoyed our Sunday brunch at Duo last weekend. The menu is creative, with plenty of variety to appease our meat-eaters and vegetarian tastes. All entrees were delicious, and the mimosas were lovely and tasty as well. We will return.
The brunch food was wonderful and the brunch cocktails were delicious and affordable. We also really like the modern/rustic decor. My only complaint is that the latte they made was small and did not contain sufficient caffeine. It was the size of one espresso shot. I did not see an option to order a larger latte. We will certainly be back, though!
Duo is amazing! Four is is had dinner there and every plate was fabulous. The trout was so good I’ll be going back for it regularly. The osso bucco was stunning. The salad and the apps were stellar.
If you want fabulous food, this is the place.
Duo is one of our favorite restaurants or maybe our very favorite. It never disappoints and we always leave looking forward to our next meal there. We have brought our friends, family and visitors and will never hesitate to recommend Duo to anyone for a delicious dining experience.
The food was just ok, entrees were a little on the cool side. The pastry board was really great. The waitress was fantastic.
Menu very appealing, food excellent, service very good, people extremely pleasant.
Not up to our usual experiences at Duo. But we’ll try again another night.
Love this restaurant. It’s charming, it’s a neighborhood treasure, the food changes with the season and each dish is unique and delicious. The staff is knowledgeable and Bobby behind the bar is very helpful in wine selections.
Due never disappoints. I have been their countless times over the years and it is always a top quality dining experience.
Good vibe. Great service. Food didn’t live up to the hype.
Duo is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. The food is amazing, local and seasonal. The staff is thoughtful, courteous and helpful - they also provide great recommendations.
Duo for us is a special place as we had brunch there with our best of friends and very small family after Ben g married on a beautiful June morning. We go back now less seldom than we’d like because... life. But every visit is a mouth watering delight. Fresh, local ingredients prepared with care.
The service comes with a friendly, personal element. It may take an extra moment when they are slammed busy to get more coffee sure, but it reminds me to relax and enjoy myself. The latte I’ll be served will be amazing.
Amazing that the food can be so good, but the service can be so poor. Even with a reservation for brunch, 20 minutes before our server even visited the table, 15 more before our coffee arrived. Brunch with a 35 minute wait for coffee? Last visit to Duo.
We love Duo and their happy hour. The drinks are great and the food is always top notch.
Our food was very good and decent sized portions. I like my vegetables as crisp and natural as possible and the ones with the fried chicken were not. They all looked black. No appetizing.
When I go out for dinner I want to make sure I can fill my belly so it was nice they had sides with the meal. This a la carte theme in Denver is beyond irritating so glad this place does not do that. Dinner for two, with wine, will hit you for $170.00 so don't think Duo for any more than special occasions. I think their empty dining room shows how their food prices are not in touch with Denver.
We loved it all, the drinks, food, service and atmosphere. Looking forward to next time!!
Terrible service and poor hospitality even when I even called twice prior in the week to remind them we were celebrating a very special mile stone. Food was fair, and service was some of the worst I have had. It was a very generic night.
I expected a lot more and will never return.
