   Our server, Cole, was perfect as he brought us such a high level of service and attention. We are regulars at the Drake and feel like it has the local community touch that keeps on bringing you back.

    We’re at The Drake frequently. We love the ambience, there’s always a great special on the menu and the service couldn’t be better. I recommend a reservation especially on weekends though week days can get pretty busy too. Great spot to people/dog watch as you enjoy some good food and drinks. Cheers!

    We are repeat customers and have tried many things over the years. This night, after a long day of travel, we were all in the mood for burgers. While service and popcorn and cocktails were wonderful as always, all four burgers were over cooked. Orders were for medium and medium rare, every burger was grey through and through.

    We sat at the bar; bartender was only mildly attentive. (We had mentioned it was an anniversary .). Also she did not know liquors; their bar did not carry our favorites and she could not offer options. The kitchen way-overcook the white meat fried chicken. Here’s a clue Drake: Take the white pieces out before the dark! Sad really because the location is great.

    Drake’s was very good. Cocktails great. Food was very good. We had 6 ppl and everyone liked what they got They need to update the restaurant. It’s all dark. They have great windows that r blocked by heavy dark wood blinds that they done even open!! Start with getting ride of those dated blinds and open them. It would have been nice to see outside for dinner and use some color …like painted walls. Great location dwn twn but interior is so tired and dated

    Was so excited by the menu but the duck confit was dry, the coho salmon and chestnut risotto underwhelming and the fried chicken with collard greens and biscuit left much to be desired. Sommelier on duty was super friendly and knowledgeable so that was a plus.

    You don't always get what you pay for..Our entrees were overpriced and not very good--we could have done much better cooking at home. We're willing to splurge once in awhile and we get that prices have gone up, but at the same time you hope for a good meal when you go out. My pork shank entree was barely lukewarm. It was served with greasy, overcooked (chewy!) baby potatoes, a couple of pork rinds(!) and no vegetable that I could discern. The lukewarm sauce was not bad. A better accompaniment might have been mashed potatoes, pureed cauliflower, polenta, etc. These can't be that costly but it felt like Drakes was trying to skimp on everything. My husband asked for his burger to be medium and it was dry and overcooked. His French fries were the worst--the skinny type, but dry and tough. Pine Tavern's $10 happy hour burger and fries, (or Brother Jons or Bend Burger Company's) blow Drake's high grade of beef burger and fries out of the water. Despite the not-great food we had a nice time, enjoying the atmosphere, our drinks and the good service. We didn't (and don't like to) complain but we probably won't be going back. Too bad---it's a great environment and location.

    Drake is one of my go-to restaurants in downtown Bend. In my view, they maintain a really great balance of upscale details, while remaining casual enough to meet just about any occasion. The service is some of the best in-town, with knowledgable wait-staff and FOH managers that have exceeded my every expectation almost every time I've eaten there.

    Tonight my friend and I met up at Drake for dinner. I made a 5:00pm reservation. We ordered the steak special and a couple glasses of wine each. Shortly before 6:00pm, our waitstaff told us another reservation was arriving for our table in 10 minutes! I really couldn’t believe we were being asked to leave. We weren’t offered more wine or dessert. I took this photo at that time. To be fair, it did fill up more after another half hour or so. Won’t be back…

    It was early New Years Eve which may have accounted for the noise level but service was exemplary and food was excellent. With all the great restaurants in Bend I forgot how nice Drake was. We will be adding back into our regular rotation of restaurants.

    We had dinner reservations which did not get a a guarantee of the food offered on and off the menu. Everything we were ordering was out. Service was good. This was our second time here trying to give Drake another chance. The kitchen preformed bad both times. Less than impressed. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant after this visit. Very disappointed!

    We love Drake and come every year when we visit Bend every winter. The first year we came the restaurant was over booked and the owners actually drove us to their other restaurant across town (Washington) and paid for our meal!!!! We now eat at Washington and Drake on every visit to Bend:).

    Great to have Drake open for lunch again. Hostess was friendly and accommodated my request for a booth. While the menu is limited, my selection (entree salad) was excellent. Caroline was our server. Though "in training", she did a terrific job. Nice job by Drake as usual!

    We made reservations for my boyfriends 30th birthday dinner and it was amazing. It was all of our first time eating at Drake and everyone was very pleased with their meals. The burger and chicken sandwich were delicious. Will definitely return again soon.
