   The place was closed when we all got there. Which was really disappointing as we’d travelled to get there. So who’s fault this was for allowing us to book and reserve a table? I don’t know. The app? The restaurant? Either way not great

   I love this place and food is amazing but I am extremely disappointed with service. I had a booking and turned up on a Saturday evening with family visiting from abroad and found restaurant closed. Not even a message to inform us.

   My friend and I had a wonderful meal at Doppleganger, the menu was so impressive we decided to share quite a few dishes. We will definitely be back to try the burgers!

   The food was excellent, and the staff were helpful and attentive. My friend and I were seated promptly, and the servers checked a good number of times (not too many and not too few) that everything was alright. The music in the background was fun, and was a good volume (not too loud for chatting!). We shared a broad bean and avo dip and flatbread, a small plate of beans and mushrooms, and a Dop burger between us. We really, really enjoyed all of them. The burger was particularly good. The server was helpful, when we mentioned that we planned to share, and even took it back to the kitchen to have it cut in half.

   Had my daughters birthday at this great, local restaurant. Vegan burgers are all on point. Good frozen Marg’s and genuinely lovely service. Will return.

    Great unusual burger set in a retro environment with friendly helpful staff and excellent tasting food . Would recommend.
