Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse
“Top Steakhouses in America” Maxim Magazine and Playboy, and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse serves straightforward prime steaks with a New Orleans touch. Signature dishes and sides include: The House Filet (served with masa flash-fried Louisiana oysters), Tomato Blue Cheese Napoleon, Pontalba Potatoes, and a Roasted Sweet Potato with Creole Pecan Butter. The house favorite dessert is a toss up between the Coconut Cake with a chiffon buttercream and the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding—so go ahead and order both.

I've never been disappointed at a Brennan's restaurant...this experience was no different..our server Lorenzo was amazing!
Excellent steaks and their new seafood platter is out of this world.
The service was incredible, food was amazing and great location.
Service was amazing!
Seated quickly, food was quick and cooked well. I ordered the barbecue ribeye and wasn't a huge fan on the flavors mixing with the gravy and steak. Food was cooked as ordered and not overly expensive. I would try it again and maybe order something different.
We came here because my husband had some very important clients to entertain. Our waiter, Alfredo, smelled like a New York subway bathroom. It did not enhance our appetites by any stretch of the imagination. It also made us question the food that was placed in front of us. When I brought it to the attention in the early part of our meal to the administration, their response gave me the impression that they were well aware of it yet nothing was done. Quite embarrassing
Great! Very expensive
Everything was perfect from the minute we walked in the door. Drinks, food and service was amazing. But plan on dropping a couple on Benjamin’s. It’s very expensive.
The best steakhouse in New Orleans.
A wonderful place. Staff was very respectful.
Great place for a business dinner! Dickie Brennan’s knocked it out of the park!
Service wonderful, excellent food….always a good experience!
Steaks were amazing and even though the menu was limited all the offerings were plentiful and delicious.
our waiter had a very heavy accent and with the mask was almost to understand
also my nephew was finishing a crab cake, the waiter scrapped his plate and almost feed him, which we found a little different
My wife, Amanda, and I ate at Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse last night and we had an absolutely amazing experience! Misty, our server, was so nice and helpful, offering top-notch service from the beginning of the meal to the end. And the food…oh boy! Outstanding is an understatement! I started with a Belvedere Martini made table-side that was to die for! For appetizers we had the fried oysters and the crab cake, both of which were superb. I also had the turtle soup, which was excellent. Then, the main event, the steak, was one of the best I’ve ever enjoyed! And I am a steak lover! My 16 ounce ribeye was perfectly cooked: tender and juicy! We finished our meal with the chocolate cake which was heavenly! Excellent service! Excellent food! What more can you ask for! I am already looking forward to a return trip to Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse!
This was a mediocre choice at best, was not worth the price. However I was impressed by the wine list and the dessert wine selection. Our waiter would not address me (as the female at the table) and would only direct his answers and attention to my male partner. This continued even after we called attention to it. Won't be returning.
Our server was very attentive and helpful. Music was a bit loud, but he took care of that for us. The food was fantastic, except for the short ribs which had a great deal of fat and gristle. The steaks were superb! Will be back again soon.
Dickie Brennan’s is my go to steak restaurant in NOLA. Being a local I am there on a regular basis. Unfortunately this trip saw a limited menu with food quality poor to say the least.
Some of this could be chalked up to covid and some to the recent hurricane. However, the food was awful. It’s very concerning when the best dish of the night was the baked potato.
I’m hoping they can recover and get back to the high standards and quality that they are known for.
Great dinner experience. Our server was outstanding, the food was terrific and the atmosphere very enjoyable!
Jeremy was a great, attentive waiter. Ambience was moderate. But only because it was Early on a Tuesday night. I thought I would be spending more, so I was pleasantly surprised when my bill came.
I would definitely return.
First things first, the homely ambiance and feel of the restaurant was great. The service was on point and staff was amazing. Our waitress Chantell was friendly and made us feel like family. The food was well prepared and very flavorful. I'll definitely go soon, the filet was amazing!
As always, at a Brennan family restaurant, the service, attentiveness, and the food were all exceptional. The dinning experience was fantastic !
Our waiter Chris, was very attentive, very helpful, and fun to chat with. He did an excellent job.
Food was not as good as we are used to when dining here. I’m sure the storm has something to do with it. We will try again in a few weeks.
Excellent steak and fish combined with caring, excellent service is a winning combination.
I asked for a medium temperature 11 oz filet. It was not. The waiter, instead of correcting the issue he over talked and was insisting a faint pink middle was a medium temperature filet. I would of thought he would of known better considering we were at Dickie Brendan's. Done.
My mother had an awesome birthday experience
This is my favorite restaurant in New Orleans. The food is always delicious and consistent.. excellent service and great ambiance
I came here for my birthday and the service was absolutely outstanding!!! Our server couldn’t do enough for us and made my day really special by bringing out a dessert with a candle in it. Unfortunately the steak I ordered was well done when I asked for medium and it was swimming in sauce which wasn’t very appetizing but overall it was a good experience.
Always good. Food and service! Yum!
We were at Brennan's for a special occasion and had a wonderful experience! The Chateaubriand and DB wine was scrumptious. Faith, our server, went the extra mile the entire evening to ensure our satisfaction. Would return in a heartbeat💛
Best meal we had in New Orleans. Steak was prepared the way I like it.
The Strip is the best in the city IMO. Alfredo was superb and the host, James, was super nice and even more knowledgeable about the experience.
Best restaurant we ate at in New Orleans! Bbq shrimp was amazing!
Great food as always. We were disappointed that there were no crab cakes. Overall a good dinner and experience.
This is one of our go-to places for a nice meal. We always know the food and service are going to be great.
Ordered steak medium rare, got very rare. For the supposed best steakhouse in LA one should not have to send a steak back to be cooked further. The waiter was excellent and the ambiance was great. The side dishes were great.
Our server, Adolfo was great - very personable but not hovering. The steaks were superb as were the apps and desert. We brought our own wine and no trouble with the corkage fee. A fine dining experience.
Nice atmosphere in a great location for where we stayed. Corey (our server) was knowledgeable and attentive and delivered us a fine meal. The House Filet entree was delicious - very nice combination of flavors - and the sharable Au Gratin potatoes were sinfully good!
Food and service were excellent. Complimentary dessert for our 25th anniversary provided a nice finish to the meal.
