Very disappointing dining experience. Will not be back!
As a foodie, I rarely find a 5-star restaurant. Everything is important. Taste, texture, service, and atmosphere. When fine dining, price is not a factor, assuming I can afford the place.
Dickie’s hit the nail on the head in every category. I had the 12oz. Ribeye, and I added mushrooms and onions. My wife had a 2lb. lobster. We each LOVED our meal.
The atmosphere was exactly what a fine dining, yet casual, Steakhouse should be. And the waitstaff was awesome. A team of two helped us through the meal.
Ignore any review that says it’s loud, unless you prefer a hushed-tone and super quiet place. The customer chatter and happy staff was all we heard. Conversing over the table was easy. For us, and me in particular, this type of atmosphere is most pleasant.
If you love steak and seafood, don’t miss Dixie Brennan’s.
Birthday celebration. Nicely decorated table. Most all employees dropped by table to wish me a Happy Birthday".
Excellent steaks and service! Moderate prices. Wait staff was wonderful. Hostess also very personable. The best of everything!!
The food and service were WONDERFUL! Everything was perfect!
Been going to NOLA for years on business. Always make Opentable reservations at Dickies because the food and service is always first rate. The prices are also quite reasonable for some of the best steaks in all of North America.
Great location near Bourbon Street. Outstanding service and unbelievable delicious steaks. We celebrated our anniversary and the restaurant set the table with balloons and champagne glasses. Was a great time and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We will be back!!
Monday night blues after “Mother’s Day”...
Slow service / limited cuts of meat / not the 5 Star quality I had the last time there.
Best Steak in NOLA
The wife and I had a wonderful time at Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse this past weekend. The service was attentive, professional and friendly. The food was delicious and the deserts sinful. A memorable meal for sure. We will certainly return again on our next trip to New Orleans.
Gorgeous facility, stellar food and exceptional service. My favorite in New Orleans!
One of the best steaks I have ever eaten! Otis, Paul, and (I can't remember name) were our servers and they were outstanding! The bananas foster cream cheese/praline desert was awesome and recommended by our waiter.
Food, service, crab cake, coconut cake, wine, ambiance, spectacular! Exceeded my expectations.
Mother Day Second year in a row. Service was excellent again!!! I recommend again.
Excellent food and service.
Impeccable service, great food, perfect mood! I couldn't ask for a better evening!!
Food was great. Service was great. Absolutely loved the "do-wop" singers.
I've been going to Dickie B's for years, never disappoints.
Absolutely the quintessential must dine at steak house. Put it on your list!
We had the chateaubriand and it was perfect. Service and drinks were superb and a nice wine list as well. Steak and Dickie Brennon a winning combo.
The food was outstanding. The steaks are always wonderful. The service is also second to none.
The service, food, and atmosphere were all amazing; staff was very knowledgeable about menu options and accommodating; overall great experience
Wonderful place! Great attentive service. Good bar. All a Steakhouse should be!
Great Service, Tony was great!!! Best Steaks!!!
Food was great! Truly felt super rushed by the wait staff which put a real damper on the evening! Kind of a bummer when you want a relaxing evening...
Table of 6, two orders were wrong. 4 sides never came out. Never even asked how I wanted my steak cooked. Priced like upscale steak, service average food and the service is Joe Pesci drive through.
This was our first time to Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse. It was my husband's birthday and they sat us at a cozy table with balloons on top. Service was superb!!! We ordered the Crab Cake, which was amazing... NO FILLER what so ever!!!! We also chose to share the Chateaubriand for two. The char on the tenderloin was flavorful, there were plenty of vegetables, mushrooms and au gratin potatoes! To top off the night, we had the chocolate cake for dessert! Oh my! It was a light chocolate cake, sometimes they are very dense and too chocolately, but this was a perfect indulgence! I would highly recommend for a special occasion!
My friends and I had never been to Dickie Brennan's before. On our annual trip down to NOLA, we decided to go there for our lavish meal, since it's mentioned in my friend's favorite book. We were not disappointed! She fell in love with a muscato wine they had, the crawfish cake appetizer (seasonal) was utterly amazing. Our steaks (filet and ribeye) were perfect. You didn't even need a steak knife to cut into the filet! For sides, we got the truffle mac and cheese, baked potato, and another potato dish that was cooked with tasso ham, carmelized onions, and green onions, but I forget the name. They were all incredible, though. For dessert, we tried the triple chocolate cake and french toast bread pudding. WOW! Both were so, so good. Our serving team was amazing (Katherine, Roc, and Jarrod) and so, so helpful with recommendations and making sure that we wanted for nothing. This place is certainly an experience where you are sure not to go wrong!
Always a wonderful experience! The side dishes, sauces, add-ons, desserts, cocktails and wine list are all impressive and an amazing array of options. I always opt for the filet, it melts in your mouth. I make reservations any time I'm in New Orleans and have always been extremely glad I did!
High end steaks with normal "chop house" sides but adds a shot of New Orleans favorites. Our food was very nicely prepared and the steaks very high quality. We had a few observations of note.. most were good.. The restaurant itself is beautiful.. the dark hardwood decor and massive dining rooms sets a great expectation that's matched by the food. Our particular order took quite some time to arrive, to the point where one of the mgrs on duty delivered our meals and apologized profusely. All of that said, it was still a positive experience overall. We were also surprised a bit at how large the portions were. Steaks are large in general, and we ordered a few sides thinking they would be small.. we laughed a bit when the football sized baked potato landed on the table.. Make sure you ask how big each side is before ordering
Service was amazing ~ the staff was VERY attentive
We loved our adventure at Dickie Brennan's restaurant. You should request Corey as your waiter. He was excellent. Kind, smart, attentive and really helpful in making sure our dinner experience was really great. We left feeling like we had been treated like a million bucks.
Food was perfect. Timing was perfect. Really, we could not have asked for a better night. We brought our own wine and the corking fee was just $15.
This will be a new "go-to" spot whenever we are in New Orleans.
Excellant service and food! Dickie Brennan knows how to do it right! This is our second time and it was better than the first...which I didn't think was possible.
Made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary and it was an amazing experience. The wait staff was tremendous. Everyone who stopped by wished us a Happy Anniversary. They treated us like royalty. Everyone told us we had to try the turtle soup and they didn't disappoint. It was truly remarkable. The restaurant gave us each a complementary fried oyster and it was delicious as well. The steaks were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. My iron skillet strip was super tender and delicious. Overall we had a perfect night.
We are on vacation in NOLA. Loved my meal.
The food was excellany. The only thing better than the food was the service. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Very attentive to even minor details
Had appetizer of poached shrimp that was raw which management took care of main course of pork belly and my wife's petite filet wee great. Bread pudding was delicious. Ice wine was somewhat dry. Service was great.
This restaurant came highly recommended. We were the first table of the night to be seated and for the first 10 minutes was impressed that we had a quiet table off to ourselves in a separate dinning area of about 10 tables. Then a large, extremely loud dining party was seated in a private closed off area behind us and the evening went down hill from there. Even the waiter asked how we were fairing with the wild party but didn't bother to ask if we wanted moved or offered any type of compensation for the HUGE inconvenience. The party was so loud that we honestly couldn't carry a conversation and the dividing doors shook and rattled behind us. Considering the restaurant wasn't fully booked and there was plenty of other tables away from this party this seems like a very poor oversight. Given the cursing and increasingly escalating volume as the drinks kept coming...we couldn't get out of there fast enough. The dinner was okay for the value but nothing as we had expected from the hype and reviews.
Worse meal I’ve had there in the 20 years been going. Steak and side were over cooked and not fresh — service was horrific and unacceptable! Won’t go back again anytime soon ☹️👎🏻
Was a once in a lifetime experience.
