   UPDATE: found out after review was left that they are closing and changing the concept. I am not sure why the server did not tell us when we said we would be back for the clams. What a shame. Not sure we will try new concept. I have also updated my rating and review because of this. We chose DOB for two reasons:their kitchen is open late&they have fresh clams which I’ve been craving. We ordered starters of a la carte grilled shrimp & fried oysters. It arrived quick & were delicious. The shrimp came w/green onions that we really liked. The oysters were crispy & tasty. The size of the oysters were quite large. Here’s where the stars start coming off. We are ready to order entrees. I was definitely getting the clams. The server came over & Oh NO! They are out of the clams! Disappointing but understandable b/c we were there late. We decided we are going to get more a la carte items & the cheese board. We figured we would just keep ordering shrimp & oysters till we were full. The second round of grilled shrimp & fried oysters came out. This time no green onions on the shrimp. Instead, a mix of micro greens. This was on both the shrimp and oysters. We missed the green onions b/c they went so well with the shrimp. The oysters were much smaller than the first round. I am sure this is common as they are oysters, but it was a significant size difference. The cheese board came with four different cheeses, all were fine. As we are finishing our rounds, the server cleared our plates. Unfortunately he cleared my starter plate & the second round plate that still had bites left. I really would have liked to finish both. Still, we are enjoying everything. Third round. We get more grilled shrimp & grilled oysters this time. We have had raw & fried oysters never grilled. I think we are hooked now, they were really good. This round, the shrimp came with nothing on them. No onions or greens. We joked that they must be running out of everything. Overall, great but inconsistent.

   We recently discovered the Oyster Bar and were happy to call it our go to. Sad to hear that it is closing and reopening as a Mexican small plate venue. On a high note, staff will remain and they are all solicitous and gregarious.

   The table given was two small round tables pushed together for a table of 4, clearly not normal dining tables. A large group of 18+ was seated behind us and there was not enough room for people to move in and out so we had to get up several times for people to move, or we were bumped into SEVERAL times if we didn’t move. If the restaurant didn’t have enough space they need to either deny a reservation or be honest about expectations. The waiter was not accommodating or apologetic in any way. We probably did them a favor by leaving without eating. Will not return and will not recommend.

   Always a great meal and great service. We wish them luck on their new business model, but we'll very much miss the D.O.B., having made so many memories with friends and family there over the years. But with the same staff promised to be there as changes are made, we'll be sure to return to a great location to make more memories.

   Awesome food in a pretty small space. It got quite loud once the restaurant filled up. Service was excellent on a very crowded night

    Too bad the three staff members stood or sat at the bar and ate and talked about scheduling, and other work issues the whole time we were there. I felt like an employee instead of a guest. This used to be a fun great energy place to unwind with terrific food.
