Delamina EAST was opened by husband & wife team Limor and Amir Chen, who’s journey began with a residency at ShoreditchHouse.

Limor is the driving force behind the menu, drawing on her eclectic heritage — she was born in Tel Aviv to a family of middle eastern and European origins — and inspired by her father, a passionate cook who exposed her to the myriad flavours, herbs and spices of the region. Limor’s recipes are influenced by her interest in healthy eating – grilling, roasting and using herbs and spices to celebrate the raw ingredients, including many vegetarian dishes. Her self-taught and intuitive approach results in dishes that are wholesome, healthy and with a unique flavour combination.

The food is accompanied by a drinks list that includes exciting wines from the Eastern Mediterranean, alongside house cocktails that incorporate the same aromatic herbs & spices used in the kitchen.

A gem of a restaurant in a very trendy area. Food was superb - the cauliflower was a highlight and I enjoyed my shrimp main course. We had 1 each of the desserts and delicious bottle of red wine. Would absolutely go back - great spot for a family dinner.

Returned to this wonderful restaurant to eat exactly the same meal sampled 6 months ago, with the welcome addition of feta and mint balls. I was not disappointed. The chicken thigh was beautiful, the dessert perhaps my favourite (cheesecake nest). I highly recommend Delamina East.

Booked for a Sunday lunch and we were shown to our table as soon as we arrived. We chose from the brunch menu which offered a tempting choice. The food was absolutely delicious, really flavoursome and generous portions. The service was friendly and very quick, we waited no more than 5 - 10 minutes after our order being taken to the food arriving. I don’t think I’d been to a Middle Eastern restaurant before visiting Delamina but on the basis of this experience I’ll definitely be going again. It’s not the cheapest option for lunch but the prices are justified by the quality of the food. My only disappointment was I didn’t have room for dessert, the cheesecake sound lovely!

This was our second visit, this time for brunch. The selection of food and drink options was great and service very good despite it being very busy. Personally think the evening food marginally tops the brunch. But all good and definitely recommend.

Incredible food - highlights for me we’re the mauve aubergine with black tahini, and the tuna, but it was all absolutely delicious. The service was really spot on too - really helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff who were also really understanding and careful about a couple of allergies two of our children have. Lovely atmosphere too :) Will be back for sure!

I was really impressed by the food. I loved the way the sweet potato, the smoky aubergine, the shawarma, and the chicken thigh were seasoned. Although the portions were on the smaller side compared to other restaurants, they were the perfect size for me. I will definitely be returning. Great work :)

Having spent a lot of time in Israel I wanted to share the experience with my husband. Quality of the food was ok, very much a Uk spin though. Each of us had four kofta, one dip, one beer and some bread £35 per head, which I felt was excessive - I guess at least the price list is the same as it would be in Tel Aviv!
