This place is a hidden gem, super intimate, good food. Highly recommend.
Love this hidden gem! Great for date night or a small group of friends... Service was on point and food is fantastic! I love the unique menu items... you'll get flavors you won't find at many other restaurants.
This place had the most lovely ambiance and the chef came out to greet the tables. Lovely food and lovely evening!
Great food, great service. Quiet, dark just the right feel
Romantic, beautiful setting.
Food was delicious, servers were friendly and playlist was on point!
Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere
Wonderful experience overall!!!
Great ambiance and we loved the food. We can't wait to go back after Palm Springs cools down a bit and we could linger over our meal and drinks. It was simply too hot to sit and enjoy for a long period of time.
Beautiful hotel. Looking forward to staying here on the future! Food was amazing! Abondigas all the way!
A fulsome endorsement for this desert gem.
Service, flavor profile, and commitment to safety are all rated excellent.
Everything was delicious. Little hidden gem of Palm Springs!
Loved the patio. Great drinks and food. The servers were extremely helpful and polite. Highly recommend.
It was an amazing experience, esp during covid. The entire staff were very helpful, along with hotel, were compliant with all safety measures. Will definitely go back.
Love this hidden gem! The food is always exceptional and the ambience, too. We are locals and it's one of our favorite places to bring guests and to visit for our own "staycations."
Great setting, great location, great service and great food!
Quaint, delightful, and charming -- these are the best ways to describe the Del Rey at the Villa Royale. A sequestered and intimate dining area, specializing in "small plates" with an interesting drinks/ wine menu, the Del Rey is a gem. The al fresco dining is relaxed, with a menu that is limited, but sufficient. It's difficult to imagine a better place to enjoy cocktails or wine while exploring the various small plate offerings. Not really suited for a hearty appetite or comfort food, the Del Rey, instead, provides imaginative light dining in a most convivial environment. The staff is great -- most professional and attentive! For a warm and charming light repast, the Del Rey may be just the place. Genteel elegance, hushed and refined, especially catering to the younger (though genteel) crowd.
We ate there while we had a lovely stay at Villa Royal. Surviving Covid-19 only patio dining was permitted. They have a lovely patio with misters. It was a lovely spot. Quiet. Service was on point. Food menu was small. Not too many choices (way more choices of wine and cocktails.)
Food was fresh and tasty. We had a bottle of time. We shared the hummus plate with flatbread . A salad, the Brussels spoilers and a shrimp dish. All of it were very fresh and very tasty! We loved it all!!
Food was amazing! Drinks were amazing! Definitely coming back here ASAP.
Great service, great drinks, great food, and great overall experience considering this was also during pandemic times.
Loved the atmosphere and variety of foods to share. Excellent sangria!
Took my parents for an anniversary celebration and had a great experience
Unfortunately we came during COVID-19... limited menu and patio dining only. Killer drinks, decent food, indoor looks really cool with retro Hollywood styling. Have to comeback for hotel and restaurant when everything is open again.
Del Rey's dining courtyard is tucked away in a charming hotel. Food and service was very good in these challenging COVID times.
Fabulous Tapas, menu a little limited but probably due to COVID-19 and only opening back up recently
Dark, sexy. Yummy.
We all felt the food was very good but Very expensive for tapas ( small plates)
Food was good. Service was good to start and then about the time our meal should have arrived our server disappeared, the hostess grudgingly helped out and the busboy was a hero and took it upon himself to make sure we got our meal and finally the check.
Love this place, I go every time I’m in Palm Springs. The cocktails are fabulous and the vegan options are delicious!
Our server was rude and she was rarely seen. We brought a few friends here for a celebration, and we were bummed to find out that they no longer serve full dinners. This used to be my favorite place.
love this place, great vibe, lighting, and the food is so delicious! Bar service was a touch slow, but it just made you sip your drink a little slower!
Our first visit since the redo has taken place was a pleasant surprise. Del Rey was more than we expected with fantastic service, food, and ambiance. The variety of small plates was outstanding, starting with the beet salad, beef and pork meatballs, flatiron steak, and shrimp, and ending with rice pudding and French Toast desserts!! The specialty cocktails were also superb! Congratulations to all involved with this wonderful addition to the Palm Springs restaurant scene. We will return!
Read the reviews so I sort of k ew what to expect. I did not say anything to my wife about it. I thought the space/ambiance sounded very different and that’s why I booked it. My wife thought it was great and so out of the ordinary from what we are used to. Being from NYC neither of could think of a similar type space in Manhattan. I’m not a fan of small plates but wanted to try del reys. We were not disappointed! Space was different and enjoyable. The food was great. We had the calamari, the cauliflower and the steak. All were delicious!
We have been to the Del Rey a few times before and have loved the vibe of the place and the food. List last visit on Friday night however was not great. We had the meatballs, the chicken, the potatoes brava and all three dishes tasted like the chef had used the same spices. The potatoes brava were so hot we could barely eat them and they were about the furthest thing from what that dish should be. We also had the brussel sprouts and they were the best dish out of all of them. Our server was excellent but I don't think we'll return for a long while. Too bad, such a nice spot in Palm Springs.
Zombies for hostess and servers. Zero personalities had to pry information . Did not feel welcome. Food is overpriced and ok. No lighting, very hard to see and read the limited menu. With so many other great places available, skip this one.
Lovely little hideaway with nice drinks and small plates.
Excellent service, prompt and friendly. Nice variety on the dinner menu, larger portions than expected, food was fresh and flavorful. Nice quiet dining, cozy dim lighting in the inside seats.
My friend and I had a great evening at Del Rey. We shared a few tapas which all were delicious, they had a good wine selection, and moody/vibey ambiance. The wait staff checked on us a few too many times - in typical Spanish restaurants, you are left alone to eat and drink at ease, but I felt like it was every five minutes they were asking how things were, which made us feel like they were pushing us out even though there were plenty of tables open. Aside from that, we had a great time and will definitely be back!
Excellent food, attentive service and warm & cozy setting. People complain about how dark it is but it made the space romantic and sexy! We sat in a booth and there was an overhead lamp that was bright enough to make it an romantic dinner!!!
Swank, sexy and snug, Del Ray does not disappoint. Service was efficient and kind. We ordered all small plates, six of them, and it seemed like a good sampling of the menu. Bring your platinum card.
